I'd say the food was 4 1/2 stars, they use good lunch meat, fresh produce, their bread is obviously the star of the show,. I got a turkey bacon club with avocado, chips and a drink. All of which came up to right around $20. For a 6 inch sandwich that is incredibly expensive, but I guess that's just the way of the world these days? I have been here a few times now, and the sandwiches are consistently good, and the staff is pretty friendly. I do consider it a treat considering how expensive it is for a sandwich meal but, definitely the best sandwich spot in Placerville hands-down. I also recommend getting the house aïoli which is a red pepper spread rather than just basic mayonnaise, gives it a little something extra. read more

Westcoast Sourdough used to be one of my favorite spots. The previous manager was friendly, professional, and created a really positive environment. He treated his staff with respect, always greeted customers with a smile, and brought great energy to the place. You could tell the employees enjoyed working under his leadership, and it made the whole experience better. Since the new female manager took over, the atmosphere has completely changed for the worse. She's rude to the employees, often speaks to them in a condescending tone in front of customers, and is usually on her phone instead of helping out. There's also another woman who seems to be part of the new management, and the two of them often sit in the lobby together, talking in another language and staring at their phones while the staff struggles to keep up with the workload. It's disappointing to see how far this place has fallen. The energy is completely gone, and the lack of professionalism from the current management is obvious. The team deserves better leadership, and so do the customers. I won't be returning until there are real changes. read more

Would love to rate higher as a solid 90% of the time the food is spot on, unfortunately with their mobile ordering not available for weeks it makes it really difficult for my work group to make it work in a timely manner. When we called to ask about it, we were told we could phone order but that it would be difficult for them. Hopefully this problem can be fixed soon. read more

Very impressed with the service, presentation And quality. Not sure I've ever been inspired to rate a sandwich shop, but this was exemplary. Italian sandwich with Greek salad and Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese was creamy and actually had a thick white cheddar flavor. Most Mac n cheese lately has fallen flat with no flavor. This place was good. The bread has a thin bubbly crunch with super soft texture inside. Impressed. I will chose this over the Safeway next door every time. The location is clean as a sparkly whistle every time I visit, it's clearly managed well with a good team of staff to keep it ship shape. Staff are always friendly and helpful. We come here almost every week. The place is clean and relaxing, they don't play overly loud or annoying music, food is always really good, the people working there are nice and you can order online beforehand on their website and pick up, no wait. My favorite thing there is Greek salad, partner's are either turkey or french dip sandwiches,clam chowder bowl and mac&cheese , both of which are also tasty. I wish they had some potato salad as a side dish but that's not the end of the world. It's also a perfect place to stop on the way to SF or Tahoe as it is right off 50 and right next to grocery and gas in the same outdoor mall and target right across the road if you have to make other stops. It's a much better investment for a food stop than the drive thru. read more

For a quick food option, this place is great. The food is fresh, the place is clean and the staff is friendly. My husband has had the Ruben twice and loves it! I've tried two soups...Clam Chowder and Tomato Bisque. Both were chunky, (plenty of clams), piping hot and delicious. We will return. What a great improvement over the last ownership. read more

This place is an absolute shit show! I will say their bread is great but I cannot say the same for the rest of the restaurant. I asked for lettuce and onions on my sandwich and no tomatoes. Instead I got 6 slices of tomato and no onion. The employees had less than positive attitudes and honestly just looked like they hated their lives. The amount of mustard on the sandwich was insane. Anyone who has ever made a sandwich before knows that you use less mustard than you do mayo. It tasted like a mustard sandwich, since the amount was so beyond overpowering. The restaurant itself smelled like poured fabuloso cleaner into every single vent and crevice possible. I got home and still smelled nothing but chemicals. Next time I'll buy a loaf of their bread and make my own sandwich correctly at home because apparently the employees are not capable. read more
