The planning process was easy, and the staff member who helped me was incredibly accommodating and made sure everything was tailored exactly how I wanted it. They had options for not only food dishes, but also tablecloths, plates, flatware, drinks, etc. When I arrived, everything was already set up and they even offered help as I added my own decorations. During the event, they kept everything running smoothly, clearing plates, serving the food on schedule, and taking care of guests. When it was over, I simply packed up my stuff and left. They handled cleanup and had even packaged up all the leftovers for me. The food was fantastic, and the pricing was very reasonable. They made the entire event feel effortless, which allowed me to actually enjoy the day. Highly recommend for any special event!

What a surprise! I arrived around 10:30 and was the only client there. The office building itself seemed quite empty of tenants too. Not sure of what was going on in the building. The security guard was very nice and escorted me to the restaurant. I was still in time for breakfast. They had a special which I ordered. I thought it took a bit longer than it should have - an omelet and some sausage and a prebaked muffin with coffee that I served myself - but it was all good. They seemed to be working on a lot of catering orders for lunch. A mother and son came in, ordered one meal and shared it. The space is large, open, and bright. It just seemed temporary to me - not like a restaurant wanting to diners but a place to prepare their catering orders and IF a random person suddenly appeared, they could be fed. This is not an area that I frequent and so the likelihood of returning is small - not because the food wasn't tasty or the restaurant itself was unacceptable. It just is out of the way for me and though was good, I was not wowed enough to find my way back for a meal. However, if you are in the area, please check them out. A mom and pop operation that deserves support.

I shall keep this place in mind when I want a quick tasty breakfast served in a cozy place at an affordable price. They also serve lunch which I will also consider. What stood out was the fried chicken. It was EXCELLENT! Very well seasoned. Cripsy crust. Somewhat heavy batter but it was cooked all the way through so it did a great job of soaking up the syrup. I didn't finish the sandwich as I worried as to what else might be in there. I tossed it in a trash can outside of my next errand. Tonight I came to Yelp to update my review, and I was shocked to read the following: On April 8, 2026 (just a couple of WEEKS ago) Yelp reported that this La Bou had FIVE health code violations. It wasn't busy, and there were available waitstaff who never acknowledged me. After sitting there for 15 minutes without anyone coming over, I finally walked out. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and came back a second time, thinking perhaps they had simply been understaffed. The service was very slow, although the food was good. This morning, after visiting the farmers market, we stopped by again. This is a café inside a bookstore within a shopping center, so I was surprised by how restrictive the experience was. We had brought The Melt for my 11-year-old daughter because she is a very picky eater. We were holding the bag when we were seated, and I did not see any signs indicating that outside food was prohibited. If that was the policy, I would have expected someone to tell us before seating us. Instead, we waited another 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. After taking our order and collecting the menus, the waitress addressed my daughter directly--not the parents--and told her that she couldn't eat her food inside and would need to go eat it outside on the far patio. I asked if we could simply be served outside, at which point she said she would "make an exception" and let us stay. I have no problem following a restaurant's rules, but the way this was handled was extremely disappointing. If outside food is not allowed, customers should be informed when they arrive or before they are seated--not after they have already waited 15 minutes. More importantly, I found it inappropriate that the waitress addressed this issue directly with my 11-year-old and told her she would need to eat outside, rather than speaking to the parents. The implication that my child should go eat her meal by herself away from us was particularly upsetting. At this point, it wasn't really about the food or even the outside-food policy. It was the repeated pattern of poor service, lack of communication, and the way this situation was handled. We ultimately decided to leave, despite the offer to make an exception. After three attempts, I can't justify giving this establishment my business again. The food may be good, but good food isn't enough when the service and customer experience are consistently this disappointing.
