You can't go wrong with the specialty sandwiches.

Superb new sandwich and soup eatery at the corner of Valley and Bernal, a new family favorite. We love: - clam chowder in sourdough bread bowl: our teens favorite craving! - the sandwiches: we have tried the Caprese, Cholula chicken, Crispy Crunchy chicken and the Italian - they're all good! And they're made using healthy, flavorful, thick and crunchy sourdough bread!! - the cookies: big and delicious, the lemon cookie is our favorite! We also love... - the service: friendly and they give you generous portions. - the interior, clean and modern. - parking : plenty of it! Looking forward to our next visit!

"Oh No, the Secret is Out! Consistent Service, Excellent Food." I've come to really enjoy eating at various locations of this chain. I've eaten at the San Ramon location, as well as the East Dublin location. Each time, the experience is good. Today was no exception. This location is modest, with a long skinny layout. It's a bit of a tight fit with a tables lined along the long wall. I like the old fashioned wood panels on the wall. Someone spent a lot of time designing the decor of these cafes. They look good! I ordered the half Cobb salad, which also comes with a small side of hot sourdough bread. Even the half size is big enough for most people. My order was delivered in just a few minutes. As usual, the food was consistently prepared and tastefully presented. I think the prices are reasonable. While I was eating, the considerate cafe manager asked me if the store temperature was okay for me. That's what I call great service! (I found out later the nice young lady is not actually the manager, but I bet she will be pretty soon!) As I was eating, an onslaught of locals descended upon this location. I guess the secret is out. The staff promptly took their orders and they were soon served their orders. Congratulations on setting up such pleasant cafes. Honestly, I cannot think of anything to criticize.

Turkey and cheddar. Solid 9/10! Bread was warm and delicious.

I've been curious about trying this place for a while. I am not a huge fan of fan of sourdough because I instantly think of Boudin and their sourdough rolls are a bit rough to eat. However, this place kept getting my attention so I decided to try their turkey and cheddar cheese sandwich with the works. To my surprise the bread is DELICIOUS! The sourdough is lightly crunchy and soft with a great chew to it. I'll definitely be back to try other sandwiches in the near future. The picture doesn't do it justice. Solid 4.75 overalls

    Chicken salad is good.

I agree with Jon G's review but with a few more twists and reduction of additional stars. There is no way I got what is pictured in the photos on the website. Those sandwiches look fantastic. As Jon experienced, the filling for both primary meat and condiments of lettuce, etc. was thin as shown in my photos. Flavor of the chicken salad is very good but the brisket was more like a cheese sandwich instead of a beef brisket sandwich. On the menu, it states: We offer our soup in a cup or bowl with a side of bread or served in our famous bread bowl. I ordered two soups. The creamy tomato is the same kind as you find at Safeway. The clam chowder was very good. I did not order the soup in a bread bowl and here is the issue. I asked for the side of bread or at least some Oyster crackers to put in the soup when I was told "bread only comes with the bread bowl." I said "Doesn't it say on the menu I would get bread?" and I was answered with "we don't offer that." Guess what - I don't eat there any more as I don't want to argue to get what you advertise and what I think I paid for.

Small and tight space inside, but lots of good options. Was hard to decide what to choose! My cousin and I got the Smoked Brisket and Caprese sandwich and split so we could try both. Both were delicious, but our definite favorite was the Smoked Brisket tons of well put together flavors! The Creamy potato soup was rich and delicious! Its a little different from other sandwich spots, you order your sandwich at the register step aside or sit down while they put together your sandwich and bring it to you. Shopping center has plenty parking but can get really busy certain hours. This place is pretty fast and food is great!

    Clam chowder bread bowl

I got the clam chowder bread bowl for lunch today and it was so good! The bread was perfectly crispy on the outside but chewy in the inside. The clam chowder had a super thick texture and and was very creamy. I wish the clam chowder had more clams in it but it was really tasty and easily comparable to Boudin's clam chowder. I would come back and get this again!

Delicious cookies! The lemon white macadamia nut cookie. Ooey gooey.

We were seated in the very cute outdoor patio, there was plenty of shade so even though it was pretty warm out we were pretty comfortable. We shared the BBQ platter which was perfect for 3 meat eaters and my partner had the vegetarian mushroom pasta. The platter was great, the beef especially was perfectly medium rare and was tender thru every bite. The roasted vegetables included in the platter included Brussel sprouts and cauliflower which were also beautifully caramelized. My partner enjoyed her mushroom pasta, the ridges on the pasta absorbed every bit of the delicious white sauce. Happy to come back, I think the patio space makes it perfect for families of all ages. Looking forward to trying some cocktails next time.

We kicked things off with the Brussels sprouts and empanadas, and they disappeared so fast. Everything everyone ordered looked incredible. I had the carbonara, which was rich and creamy. Fabian deserves an honorable mention for providing fantastic service while also being an absolute champ with all the comments my friend kept throwing his way. He handled the relentless flirting like a professional. Great food, great service, and an unforgettable night!

We did a full inside restaurant buyout and had the option to select several appetizers, two salads and four entrees from the menu. We tried the Saganaki $17.00+ Skillet-fried flaming kefalothiri cheese, brandy, lemon? It was okay. To me, it just tasted like cheese topping from a slice of pizza. It was cool to see it being lit on fire though. I did like the fried calamari, that was delicious especially with the sauce. I ordered the mushroom and spinach omelette $19. It came with potatoes and fruit like watermelon. It was decent, I mean it's an omelette so what can I say, lol. The serving size was perfect to share. Our server was good. They have plenty of options--beef, chicken, and veggie burgers--so there's something for everyone. The shakes are definitely richer and heavier than In-N-Out's, and each one comes with a donut, which the kids loved! They also hand out stickers to children, and the burgers are served with delicious fries. If you're looking for lighter choices, they offer Brussels sprouts and salads, along with a grilled cheese sandwich. And for the adults, they even serve beer. The indoor seating area is on the smaller side, but there are lots of outdoor tables. On a nice day, I'd definitely recommend sitting outside. The burgers were soft and fresh. I thought the kids' burger was a little heavy on the sauce, but that's probably something I could customize next time. Service was quick overall. My only minor feedback is that the server taking our order spoke very softly, making it a bit difficult to hear in the busy Sunday afternoon crowd.

I found this place on here about month ago and bookmarked it. Today I came here to get lunch to go. I ordered there with a staff member. I got the Cali Kid burger (w/ Angus beef), Garlic Fries, and a Chocolate Shake. The guy asked what sauce I want which I asked for his recommendation since it was my first time there. He recommended the Cali sauce, and I said "Okay, I'll go with your recommendation." I didn't know that he was going to charge me for the sauce--$.75. The total with a $1 tip came out to $27 something. Pricey!!! I waited for about 8-10 minutes til my order was ready. The chocolate shake didn't have the pretty chocolate drip like in their pictures, but it was decadent. It is better than In-n-Out's chocolate shake. The mini donut is a cute touch. The Cali Kid burger was pretty delicious, but I still like In-n-Out's Double Double a lot more still. The Garlic Fries was garlic overload. If you're super into garlic, then you might be a fan of this. After a few bites, I got tired of it. The Cali sauce was just okay. I wasn't a fan of it. The place was clean, bold, with plenty of seating indoors & out. In my bag, the gave me a fork, but no napkins. Luckily I was going to go back to the house to eat it, but it kinda sucks that they didn't give any napkins. It was nice to try, but I'll stick with my beloved In-n-Out.
