This used to be our go to breakfast place when it was Copper Skillet. Haven't been since it changed names but decided to give it a try. The staff was friendly and we were seated immediately. We ordered a bacon, avocado omelette, and the chicken fried steak and eggs. To drink, we ordered an apple juice for a toddler, two waters, and one coffee. The server forgot one of the waters (and never brought it) and dropped off a random orange juice that no one ordered and then never returned to our table so we could tell her it wasn't ours. The omelette was good and it had nice big chunks of bacon in it. The chicken fried steak was also very good. It wasn't huge, but the perfect size for breakfast. It comes with a choice of 2 or 3 eggs. I got 2 sunny side up and cooked perfectly. Also had a choice of 1 or 2 slices of toast and either hash browns or country potatoes. Usually, I have to ask for no onion or bell peppers in country potatoes, but these come plain anyway and were very good. I know we will definitely be returning. The only down side was they charged us for the orange juice they brought by mistake! read more

We hadn't eaten at the Dublin Skillet in over 30 years. The restaurant was clean and bright. The service was good. Our waitress brought us water quickly and gave us time to peruse the menu. Our food was delivered quickly and she checked back to see how we were doing. I had the fish and chips. The fish batter was crispy and the fish was moist and flakey. There was a large portion of crinkle cut fries and sautéed vegetables. It included a salad which was made with fresh iceberg lettuce, chunks of carrots and a couple slices of tomato. The portion size was more than enough for me. My husband had the patty melt. The burger was juicy. It was topped with grilled onions and America cheese. It also had a generous portion of fries. We have been coming to this location since back when it was the Copper Skillet, and it continues to be our favorite spot for a great breakfast. Their omelettes are always really good and a personal favorite.Every time we visit, the restaurant is packed. Seeing it so busy is always a great sign that the quality remains consistent. Despite the crowds, the service is top-notch. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately greeted, asked for our party size, and seated right away.Even with a full house, both the food and the service were absolutely great. My first time here. I was sort of craving chicken fried steak. I usually like to try the gravy first but I thought I would just go right in and get the steak itself. Not really very good. Taste like a Frozen steak you get at the 99 cent store. Kind of grizzly. Batter was okay. The steak itself was not very appetizing. I should have got the bacon and eggs. I ended up asking for two strips of bacon which were adequate but not as good as I expected. I don't know how you screw up bacon but I guess you can Potatoes were okay in fact they were actually pretty good so are the eggs the toast was nice. Coffee was good. Service and waitress was very friendly very professional. I just didn't care for the steak. Place seem pretty popular. The parking lot was crowded. It must be regulars there a lot. Prices were all right as far as everything else is concerned. Almost $30 for breakfast. But that's typical now isn't it. read more

For breakfast, I tend to get a fairly heavy meal which usually country fried steak with plenty of gravy. Seeing the menu that includes country steak and waffle, I get savory and sweet. So that a compelling dish to try. Literally, I had no idea, it was simply, two separate dishes that came as is. One place with the country fried steak and another with a large waffle with butter and syrup. No more, no less. They looked lonely on the two plates. The country fried steak tasted as it should. Whereas the waffle was perfectly formed but lacked the crunchy crispness of a waffle. It was on the soft side. I liked the combination but overall felt it lacked the presentation and the waffle needed the crunch although the butter and syrup would eventually soften it. I would try a different breakfast dish next time or stick with the usual country fried steak with eggs and hash browns. Service was good. read more

Overall a solid 4.5 out of 5, rounded up to 5. Slight knock on the seating accommodations due to my mom being in a wheelchair. Was able to seat my mom and her wheelchair in one of the booths, but it was alittle awkward getting in to seat myself afterwards. The waitress was very friendly and polite and soft spoken. The menu has an about the same general feel and look versus its copper skillet days, the one things that I didn't see at least for this first visit was the breakfast burrito. The prices are surprisingly decent and within range of today's prices when compared to other similar places or offers. I dare say that they might have a bigger proportion when compared to its price point versus other restaurants. For me, I order the gold special since they did have sugar free syrup and I was in the mood for some pancakes. The pancakes were very bountiful and by the time I was hitting the fourth pancakes, I was actually getting sort of full. By the 6th I was done and my craving for pancakes was fulfilled. The eggs were cooked to order and the bacon was crispy enough. For my mom, I ordered her the biscuit and gravy, the biscuits were decent size, black bear has a much bigger version, but the gravy was spot on. And their sausage patty was very good and flavorful. Sorry but I'm done with Dublin Skillet. My family and I would come here on a semi regular basis and I'm just tired of getting nickeled and dimed. When you think omelet, you would assume that it automatically comes with cheese right? NOPE, its an $2.40 add on for a slice of cheese. Make sure you review your check before paying and if you're paying by credit card, they tack on an additional 4% for processing. Yes, I understand its expensive to run a business but price your dishes accordingly where your customer leave feeling charged for every little thing. Please train your wait staff to inform your customers that the omelets do not come with cheese and will cost an additional $2.40. Country waffles down the street includes cheese in their omelets (with out an up charge) and its about $2 cheaper for the dish and just as good if not better! Skip Dublin Skillet, there are better options with in a 1 mile radius. read more

My son took me to this restaurant Sunday morning for our first time. Not being from Dublin decided to try it out for breakfast. We were the 7th customer since opening that Sunday morning and by the time we finished the place had very few vacant tables. He ordered an omelet, rye bread and a side of pork sausage; I ordered the eggs benedict with coffee. While waiting for our food I took a sip of the coffee and told my son if the food is like their coffee, it is going to be good. I am accused of being a bit of a coffee snob and nothing turns me off than a poor cup of coffee. The coffee was dark and delicious. Then our food arrived, hot and delicious. The portions were large, enough for two meals, and the food did not disappoint!! Not only was the restaurant clean, but the staff very courteous and attentive checking on not only us, but the other customers as well. AND they kept my coffee flowing!! Food and service need improvement. We have family over for the holidays! We wanted to find a delicious breakfast spot to go to with our family. We found Dublin Skillet through Google. Photos of the food looked so good and we were so excited to eat! We ordered the waffle and chicken strips, French dip sandwich, turkey club sandwich, eggs benadict, and country fried steak with country potatoes. We were highly dissatisfied. The French dip didn't have any condiments or melted cheese, the beef was highly proceed deli meat. It was disgusting. The turkey club was good. The waffles were hard and didn't taste right. The eggs benedict (cold was hard like a hard boiled egg). The country potatoes had no flavor and were also a bit tough. Despite the quality of the food, we were still trying to enjoy our breakfast and company of family. We weren't being rude or extremely loud, yet a waitress came over and told us to be quiet because there were other guests. We found this strange but respected her wishes, both neighboring tables made comments that we weren't loud at all and that that was rude of the waitress. The ambiance was meh! As we came in, there were 2 waitresses at the front, not one smiled or greeted us. I had to make contact first. There were also flies flying around the restaurant. We won't be returning. read more

I ordered the chicken fried steak dish that is served on a skillet, probably to provide room for the big portions. It comes with the chicken fried steak, 3 eggs done in your choosing, country potatoes (cubed potatoes), and your choice of toast (I chose sourdough toast). This is now the Dublin Skillet I have been coming here for years when it was the Copper Skillet. I have given it a try several times since the change and it just doesn't have the same attributes that kept me coming back for all this time. 2 things in particular. Atmosphere is no longer a homey country kitchen feel it now feels cold and systematic with rushed service and 2 overworked waitresses( one of which said she was the owner) Portions, a big favorite was the portion size and how the meal came in particular I always order the fried chicken meal or the steak ..which come with super salad toast, mashed potatoes and vegetables and you can sub things around if you choose I.e fries instead of potatoes) the meal now comes with all items minus the bread price point is still the same $20 but the actual size of the items is significantly smaller and the salad had many pieces of wilted lettuce and stay away from the bleu cheese dressing. At this point Dennys is a better option, I won't return. read more

Two stars because the service was good and the staff were all very friendly. Unfortunately that's where it ends. Everything was very greasy. The hash browns so much so they weren't edible. Took one bite of my food and waited for 20 minutes for orange juice , she walked by me 3 times asking why I wasn't eating and I said I am waiting for OJ . Until earlier this year this was part of the Copper Skillet family, a small chain of eateries that didn't feel like a chain. As Copper Skillet I've dined in Dublin many times. In the last two years I've met with my friend Rick at the Martinez location. Very difficult ambience but the same very good quality of food and service. Several weeks after the Dublin location was sold a friend and I went there for a late breakfast, early lunch. It still said Copper Skillet but the menu was different...the people working were different and it was evident this restaurant had changed hands. At the end of the meal we just didn't have the same satisfying feeling as with visits aup to a couple years before. I don't see myself returning to the now 'Dublin Skillet' any time soon... or later. read more

I have passed this place many times and have gone into a few of the businesses in this plaza but have overlooked Dublin Skillet, most likely because the place is more of a breakfast spot and closes early. My daughter and I had breakfast here and it is cozy inside with large U booths and smaller tables that sat 2. The coffee wasn't great, however I do enjoy diner coffee in that white mug and will drink it. I had eggs with a meat patty and toast. My daughter had a Belgian waffle. It was kind of expensive - $36 for both items and my coffee. Service was great and attentive but it seemed like what we got and the price we paid sort of didn't match. I've been here many times and the food and service are always good Here are some notes on the food... Breakfast Notes: Cornbeef with eggs, and a side order of biscuit and gravy. Both were great! I love pouring the green Tabasco on the eggs and cornbeef, it seems to be tangier than original red. Chicken fried Steak Breakfast Special (2 eggs, hashbrowns, toast) Everything was awesome! The chicken fried steak was the right size, not too large, the right amount of gravey was added to the top, not covering the whole think so some parts stay really crispy. Gravy was really good. Hash browns were crispy on the outside and creaming on the inside, just the right amount of thickness. Eggs Rancho was very good, came with lots of chips and chess like nachos Dinner Notes: Chicken Fried Steak with mash potatoes, country gravy and veggies. Almost as good as Austin's in Incline. Excellent meal, huge serving, ample leftover for the following day. Mom had Kaihlee's scramble, dad had eggs and sausage links, sister had bacon and eggs with fruit. We also got a Belgium waffle to share. All generous portions, fresh food. Excellent table service, prompt and attentive staff members.
