Headline: Disappointing selection and shortage of items. Location: In a prime location in Delta Shore with lots of parking. The interior looks decent with lots of seating and going for an authentic vibe with the fake brick, wood panels and siding. Quite an interesting choice. Service: It was decent. Staff taking orders quick and moving quickly as they could with two staff. One of them would bring the orders to your table which was a nice touch. Food: This is where it all starts falling apart. First they seem to have supply issues. Out of salami, the soda machine was out of syrup for most of the drinks. The chips were not stocked fully and they had boxes set aside but not opened. Not sure if I as a customer can open those boxes. There was a lot of missing items at this store and that's hard to stomach. For reference I visited this location at 1PM on a Saturday. Otherwise, the food was decent. A little light on the protein on the Cholula chicken, another miss. Missing a lot of items is killer and there seemed to be overall disorganization at this business. Got this place confused with West Coast Sourdough, when I decided to give it a try. But it had a lot of comparable options, and was easy to order. Ordered several sandwiches to include the Smoked Brisket sandwich (mine) and a cup of clam chowder to go. Everything came as expected, and my Smoked Brisket sandwich was really good. read more

Today is the 4th time I have came here in the past month and they have been out of food items EVERY TIME. I tried to order a southwest chicken salad and they said they can't make it. Previously they were out of avocados (there's literally a Walmart in the parking lot). Another time they cancelled my Uber eats order because they were out of food. This location is really clean. Wish their tables accommodated larger groups. The food was excellent. Our order took a really long time to get to us. Close to half an hour. My wife frequent this location as she works across the street and says there is usually only one person working. And that turned out to be the case in our experience. Definitely would recommend this location and this franchise. read more

They charged $7 more for ordering two pastrami sandwiches on the Sourdough & Co. app than if placing the same order in person in the store. This is absolutely outrageous. The clerk seemed to think this was normal and was baffled that I asked what they would do about it. It's absolutely ridiculous to only have 1 employee working at night here, and not because coworkers called out, NO..because the owner wants to save on payroll!! The young man who was there this evening 11/19, BY HIMSELF did an amazing job at helping all of the customers...yes it took him some to help all the customers, but because of his dedication and commitment to his job, me and a few others waited to be served...45 minutes later, I was served. If I could give the review zero stars I would...the young man however deserves major kudos and respect! As a manager myself I would NEVER leave my employees alone. Good customer service, friendly, quick, polite. Many menu items including sandwiches, salads, soups, chips, cookies and drinks. I opted for the 6 inch Italian sandwich. I believe it had turkey, salami, pepperoni plus I added pepperoncini peppers, provolone cheese and held the tomatoes onions and lettuce with their sauce on sourdough, warmed. It was ok, too much sauce, saturated, very messy. Plus I got the drink and chips to make it a combo; adds $3.50+ to price. The bread was great. Generous portions of meat. Ambiance is like other chain stores. Places to sit inside and eat at the sandwich shop. Not busy but lots of door dash type pickups while I waited. Approximately $17.50 for sandwich, drink and chips. All other sourdough I go to my bread is fresh and warm even on a cold sandwich, this place it was not warm at all. In addition it's run down, the soda machine was broken, the were out of coleslaw for the sandwiches, ran out of napkins, even in the bathroom amd the bathroom toilet seat cover holder was broken and sitting on the back of the toilet. I won't be back to this location. Service was just OK. The girl blamed her manager for not having any napkins. This Sourdough & Company is located in the Delta Shores shopping complex between AT&T & Coldstone ice cream. The shop is neat & clean with indoor & outdoor seating. There is a bathroom for customers. It is your usual sandwich shop vibe where you order at the counter & they make the sandwiches & call your number. They have a choose/ make your drink machine, chips and cookies all available for purchase. "Admin" served us. The sandwiches were presented well and so tasty! The meat, cheese & bread along with the toppings were so fresh. Their sauce is so yummy too. They have Dijon mustard also. Oh my, so good! I could go on and on about the sandwiches here. Food was great. Service was not so great. Walked up to order food and asked the gal how her day was. No response. Ordered food but was told no bread bowls were available. Another person in my party also ordered something that was unavailable. Sat down to eat dinner and found there were no napkins available to customers anywhere in the restaurant; I had to go to the bathroom to get paper towels for our dinner. Two employees working and yet the poor guy after us wait for the male worker to finally acknowledge there was in fact another customer. Female worker did not even attempt to let the male worker know there was another customer. As my group and I were eating our food, the male worker kept insisting we write a review. Kept saying how he'd give us all a cookie for each of our reviews. Kind of felt like he knew they had failed us but wanted to make sure we gave the store a good review. I've been here for over 30 minutes on a moderately slow evening, there's one guy working the place and he moves like a lava lamp. I've watched two customers that came in after me (no pre-order) get their orders, and a DoorDash guy bail after waiting 15 minutes without getting his order. Bread & veggies are fresh. The sandwich is nicely wrapped. The roast beef is pretty salty and even thought the rest of the sandwich is ok, you can get overwhelmed by the saltiness. My friend had the veggies sandwich & she said it's pretty good. I may go back to it another try. read more

After spending nearly 1/2 a day at the beautiful outdoor Delta Shores Shopping Center in the Meadowview area of Sacramento, I built up my appetite. And when you have a TON of food options to choose from, it can be difficult to narrow down a place to eat. Since I was craving a sandwich, I had multiple choices including "Jersey Mike's Subs", "Panera Bread", "The Sandwich Spot", & "Subway". But I finally settled with "Sourdough & Co" simply because it has actually been many years since eating here. I came here on the afternoon of 11/21/2020 at around 3:00pm. There were no customers during the time of my visit since it was during non peak hours. The inside was a very typical setup that I have seen at other Sourdough & Co locations with a dark easy to read menu against a fake brick wall. All indoor seating was closed off due to the COVID-19 pandemic while masks were mandatory before entering. Since it was well past my usual lunch time but not quite dinner, I decided to go with a 6" size of their "Ham & Turkey" sandwich on sourdough bread (the only way to go when the business has "sourdough" in its name). I also got a side of Mrs. Vickie's Salt & Vinegar chips and a small Sprite. Total price for everything came to about $14 (after tax). Fortunately there was seating outside so I took full advantage of that on such a beautiful sunny autumn afternoon. After unwrapping my sandwich, the real winner here is definitely the bread as it had the perfect crunch factor. They were also generous with the meats but there were more lettuce, tomatoes, and onions to make it appear more full. The prices are a bit on the higher end of the spectrum (nearly $10 for a 6" sandwich) so you are paying premium prices when you can get something at a lower price at your neighborhood deli supermarket. All in all, "Sourdough & Co" is a decent sandwich shop that has a ton of places to compete with in a very large shopping center. Service was good, portions were generous and filling, and prices were higher than average. With that said and done, I am giving them a respectable four stars. read more

We were in the Delta Shopping Center and found ourselves working up an appetite. This shopping center has a large variety of eateries within it's location, but since I'm a Sourdough & Co. fan, we didn't look any further. Honestly, I have been to other sour dough places before and had OK experiences, but this particular eatery fulfilled my hunger pangs to the max! I loved that the selections on the wall menu would satisfy most tastes and appetites. I got a 6"tuna salad with all the fixings, while my BF got a cobb chicken salad. The soda dispenser has so many flavors to choose from! We both got our favorite carbonated diet drinks. Our food was fresh and tasty! Because of the covid-19 situation, we ate our meals outside. It was windy, but we still managed to enjoy our food the best we could. I look forward to eating indoors again when the time comes. This was the first time my family and I tried this place. We ordered the clam chowder and bread bowl, and I must say that the sourdough bread was high quality. We say this in comparison to Boudin. We really liked the softness and texture of this bread much more. The sandwiches also taste like quality as well. We are glad we gave this place a try and will come back for more. Ehhh overall I prefer West Coast Sourdough, the other sourdough deli chain in the area, to this one. The fire-roasted vegetable soup was ridiculously bland and watered down (almost seems like staff are cutting corners by adding a bunch of water just to increase this soup's inventory). The chicken Caesar salad was much better as the chicken was pretty tasty with all of its seasonings. Good amount of chicken in the salad as well. The sourdough bread pieces that were included with the salad were alright. The sourdough bread was soft, but the one at West Coast Sourdough is crispier and tangier. West Coast Sourdough also warms up the bread before sending it to the customer (the sourdough bread here is served cold). Not bad if you're already in Delta Shores and are craving for some sourdough bread. Just avoid the veggie soup! read more

Ordered for takeout. They had a poster up of the sandwich specials: the French dip sandwich and their Smoked brisket sandwich, which my boyfriend and I ended up getting. The French dip sandwich was meat and bread - can you even consider it a sandwich? It comes with a soup to dip it in, which spilled in the bag they gave us. The meat was bland and the soup was way too salty to have a flavor. I ended up throwing away half of it. My boyfriend got the smoked brisket sandwich which he said was good- it had sandwich essentials like tomatos and lettuce, which I think he liked. If I were to go back, I would just get a classic sandwich. The sandwiches are pretty small, especially for the price they charge- I'm not even sure if they can justify the prices as the quality of ingredients was not distinguishable from cheaper chain sandwich shops. read more

I finally got to try Sourdough & Co after many years of wondering wha tit was like. I came in yesterday with my mom and we were pleased with the selection. They had three soup options, and they even had bread bowls. Several sandwich options and three different sizes which I really appreciated. And a handful of salad options. They also sold their baguettes to go for $3.99 and huge cookies to go for $1.75. After having the garlic pesto 4 inch sandwich I was so pleasantly surprised. The sandwich was amazing. The standout was the garlic pesto and the bread. The bread was sourdough, obviously it's in the name, but it was the softest sourdough baguette I had ever had. when I took a bite the toppings didn't slide all around because the bread was too hard, it was just a perfect melody of bread to filling. My mom had a small Cobb salad and it was such a generous amount. I don't think either of us would have been able to eat a large size. The salad came with a piece of sourdough on the side too. We didn't get to try the soup this time but in the future we plan too. Also, the lemon cookie was one of the most delicious and surprising treats. Hands down... BEST spot for a great pastrami sandwich and grilled chicken Caesar salad. I never give negative reviews, but this is a matter of getting what you paid for based on what was advertised. We wanted a cold sandwich on a hot summer night and ordered via Uber Eats. I'm a vegetarian and my husband is not. His sandwich was fine and he enjoyed it. He ordered for me the vegetarian sandwich which was advertised as including lettuce, tomato, carrot, cucumber, bell pepper and cheese. That would have been great. My sandwich included two ingredients...shredded iceberg lettuce and cheese. Not quite what was advertised. I was hungry and I ate it, but very disappointing and not very filling. read more
