    #5 Turkey and Salami
    Alexa K.

I love a good sandwich and I'm so happy to have finally tried this place! Located in the Galleria shopping center, it was surprisingly slammed on a weekday at noon. We waited 20 min for our sandwiches after placing our order. I have been back since my first visit and find that ordering online for pickup is the way to go. I got the #3 with turkey and it was great. The bread is tasty, there was a good amount of turkey on the sandwich, and the toppings were fresh. I like the house spread that they offer as well. There are a number of tables inside to sit but it can get pretty crowded inside. It is clean and the staff are friendly.

Ordered the "cranberry turkey" and "garlic pesto" as 4" sandwiches. Loved that you can customize it and sandwiches are made to order. Took five-ish minutes for our sandwiches. Bread was soft. Not super tangy like you would expect with sourdough. Cranberry turkey was good, but would recommend adding more cranberry. Garlic pesto was just ok. Tasted like a regular turkey sandwich, didn't taste the aioli. Inside was clean and casual. Would definitely come back to give the other menu items a try.

I have developed a huge craving for the fire roasted vegetable soup. It's not available every day and sells out fast because it is so incredible. Big chunks of well cooked vegetables are dunked in a flavorful broth. Served with a a side of their incredible sourdough bread, this is a meal in itself. I also order a large Italian salad to go. The salad is nice and crispy with lots of salami, cheese, red peppers, and artichoke hearts. I substituted the artichoke hearts for olives. It was enough for me to have dinner for three night. I have visited several times and the quality of food is always amazing. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable about the food, which is a bonus.

Went for an order from the "Too good to go app" which offers food that is left over towards the end of the day that is offered at a discount so it's not thrown out. I received two notifications today that there was a surprise bag of bread and one of soup. I was quick to claim as I was heading out to another nearby store and wanted to see what I could get! I looked at the menu for today and saw the soups of the day were Broccoli and cheese and Vegetable so was excited as I like both of those soups! I checked in with I presume the manager and he helped me confirm my order on my phone app. He brought me a bag of French bread odds and ends and a bag with two small cups of soup indicating today was Chili. I was disappointed but knew it's whatever you get as a "surprise" bag. The bags are shown to be worth $15 but you pay $5 fcan't be too choosy I guess! I don't believe the chili was worth $15 as it was two small cups but it was hot and tasted good. The French bread pieces were soft and there were a couple good size pieces included. I don't know if I'll get a "surprise " bag again but may go back for a sandwich as they have a good menu and it's clean inside.

I'm happy to see that this area of Sparks is getting more food options. Went online ahead of time and checked out their menu. The Buffalo Ranch Chicken sandwich caught my eye and decided to order this. What a delicious sandwich! The bread is super tasty and fresh. All the ingredients mixed well together to create a buttery-spicy chicken sandwich! The staff were really nice and focused on doing a great job. The inside is casual dining. I'm looking forward to trying more of their sandwiches.

Salami turkey sandwich with a cup of clam chowder.

We drove to the other side of town for a sandwich glad we did! Our food was really good! I had a pastrami Reuben sandwich and my husband got a turkey and salami sandwich with a cup of clam chowder. My Reuben was warm and on yummy crusty bread with a nice balance of meat, sauce, cheese and sauerkraut. My husband also said he really enjoyed his sandwich. They were really busy, and it took about 20 minutes to get our food. But the staff was really friendly and apologized multiple time for the wait. The only thing we weren't crazy about was the clam chowder. It was a bit fishy. We won't get that again!

Pathetic Caprese. Mayo instead of Pesto aioli!

The food quality is subpar & skimpy. They measure out amount of ingredients before making sandwiches. Caprese horrible. Thin sliced tomatoes, thin sliced mozzarella, ton of shredded head lettuce?! $15 for 6 inches? Do not recommend food.

    This is what I ordered

I ordered online for a pick up and it was ready very quickly. Service was friendly but the sandwich I was not totally impressed with. It had a lot of toppings and condiments, but the meat could hardly be found. $14 for a 6 inch sandwich I would hope to get a little more meat. Hopefully next time it will be better.

    Smoked Brisket

I came here on a Sunday for dinner we ordered smoked brisket and caprese. The smoked brisket was filled with so much sauce the wrapping was so wet this is probably why they wrapped it twice and tape it so much like it's a Christmas present. It mostly filled with lettuce and tomato not a lot of brisket. Brisket was actually very flavorful seasoned very well. The sourdough bread was very stale either it was old batch or it was overcooked in the oven but it was hard to eat. Caprese had a sweet and sour taste and the bread was the same stale. There was so much balsamic it had the similar issue with the smoked brisket Both weren't anything really special for $16 per "speciality sandwich" nothing really special...

Out shopping in the Los Altos shopping center and noticed this new family shop called sourdough so I decided to try it. I had a Reuben, which was very good on very good sourdough bread. That place was very clean. The workers were doing their jobs. They have a variety of soups and salads also so I would give it another try so you might want to try it too.

Pastrami and turkey sandwich with a pickle
    Mark F.

Amazing sandwiches on warm, crunchy bread. I've been here 4 times already and particularly liked the pastrami and turkey sandwich. All come with a large dill pickle. The owner is super friendly and works behind the counter making sandwiches. This is a great spot right across from Trader Joe's in Sparks and I strongly recommend you give it a try!

Each dish is from a different country, and I think they have a few specials that are more traditional plates. I love west African and Caribbean food, and Reno is severely lacking in both of these options, so it was very welcome to see some options from these locations. I got a rice bowl with Senegalese Mafffe. The food came out fast, and was very good, just the right amount of spice, and killer flavors. The pricing is very fair ($12 for a high quality dish). The portions were a little small, but that's probably a good thing. My biggest complaint is that it has scratched an itch I forgot I had, and now I want a more full fleged West African food experience.

The real dealbreaker, however, was the customer service. When ordering, we asked to add onions to the wraps. We were told, "the servings are already weighed out and prepped so we can't add onion." Fair enough. We then asked, "Can we just get a side of onions?" The two staff members simply stared at us and replied, "No, we can't do that because then we'll have to cut the onion." Even after offering to pay for the side of onions, they flat-out refused, simply because they didn't want to prep them. I would understand if they said they didn't have onions but that was never expressed by staff. I always like trying new places, but I will not be coming back here.

When visiting Reno, I highly encourage anyone that is looking for a delightful and relaxing lunch…read morespot to definitely check out "Süp". Located directly on S. Virginia St and adjacent to St. Lawrence Ave in the heart of the Midtown neighborhood of Reno, Süp has served up delicious and healthy sandwiches, salads, and soups dating back to 2007. This place has been on my radar for quite some time and I finally got to experience what it was all about. Since this is in a fairly busy commercial part of town, it can be a bit tricky to find parking. However, we were able to park only a block away and this was during the afternoon on Thursday 7/2/2026 at around 12:15pm. After making the short way to the business, I absolutely loved the exterior aesthetics and layout were represented. The business itself mimics a house complete with a large front patio area that actually snakes around to the side of the house for the more comfortable Reno days. The wooden tables with plastic chairs and covered tents to shield off the sun were a very nice touch. The inside also offers very generous indoor seating complete with ample space for a single person, a couple, or a family. Their menu are digitally presented on LED TVs complete with some of their specials that are handwritten on a chalkboard. My lady and I both decided to order sandwiches to get our fuel and energy for the day. I went with their "Char-Grilled Steak Baguette"; this came complete with their bistro steak drizzled with chimichurri sauce and topped with caramelized onions, New York white cheddar & sharp cheddar cheese and served on a cheddar poppy seed baguette. My lady went with their "Reno Deli"; this offered salami, pepperoncini & pesto layered with spinach, tomatoes, provolone cheese, and aioli on toasted sourdough bread. Both of our sandwiches came with a side house salad. Once given our number (we got Tahoe St), we decided to sit outside and take full advantage of the weather (as it was a perfect 78°F). What I particularly like is that the ambiance is the perfect vibe for daydreaming, people watching, and enjoying the simplicity that a city like Reno offers. Both our sandwiches arrived in roughly 10 minutes and were presented on white porcelain plates. My sandwich was made to perfection as the cheddar baguette securely held the fillings quite nicely. There was a lot of seasoned steak as the other sauces were not too overpowering. And considering the size of this, it got me quite full as I wasn't hungry until much later in the day. I will say that if you're looking for a reputable small business that offers healthy fresh ingredients, excellent customer service, amazing ambiance in a very desirable area of Reno, I highly recommend giving "Süp" a try. Their selection of salads, sandwiches, bowls, and soups are all wonderful choices as they focus on farm-fresh ingredients. And if time allows, I highly encourage everyone to eat here as I felt right at home during my 45-minute stay. Keep in mind that they are closed on Sunday but are open Monday through Saturday from 11am-9pm. With that said and done, I am giving Süp a perfect five-star review.

Or is it that epic side salad that comes with every sandwich? I like to think that it's a combination of everything above that makes this place a spot that people return to time and time again. For me, it's the friendly faces and the family owned lives that this place is dudes which bring me here from time to time. And the warmer Mo I don't often think about it, but they do have incredibly welcoming patio with lots of shade and great salads and sandwiches if you don't feel like soup. But of course there's always an awesome option of having a cup of soup with your sandwich just to round out the experience. From what I can tell, not a whole lot has changed about this spot and that's with good reason. The people have spoken over and over and over again in this community loves this restaurant just the way it is. When you come here, you can't go wrong with the grilled cheese and classic tomato soup but if you're feeling adventurous, try the soup sampler and taste a few at once to pick your favorite then find out when it's on the menu so you can plan your return based around it. Me I'm a sandwich guy and my most recent visit. I had to try the barbecue chicken on the jalapeño cheddar roll. Chicken with succulent, not overly sauce with light spice and the fresh veggies on top made for a really nice sandwich. The bread was a little bit thick and I ended up eating most of it open face so in the future, I'd say if there's an option for this barbecue chicken to go on top of the salad, you won't miss there. Speaking of salad that cute little side salad that comes with all the sandwiches is so good. Their house made white balsamic vinaigrette is just absolute fire and no meal here is complete without it. 19 years in and Sup is still hot. When's the last time you visited?
