I came all the way from Carson and I see just 1 girl working and she's busy, I do not blame her I blame the owner ! I asked her to make sure the lettuce is fresh cause no one wants a slimy salad. This was the first and certainly last time going here. I feel the photos are false advertisement, full bowls of salad...but that is most definitely not what I received. I ordered their new powerhouse salad. It was only after I had paid for my salad that I was told they were out of salmon. I'm not sure why they weren't aware they were out of salmon when I ordered or even before I paid. I was told since my salad is one of the more expensive salads that they could offer double the meat of either chicken or steak as a replacement. I considered getting a refund but made the mistake of giving it a go. I asked for the steak. When I got home I was shocked to find that my salad bowl was half full. Mind you, I realize it's not gonna be exactly like the photos but why am I getting only half the amount of ingredients? I called to notify them of the discrepancy. I was told that the appropriate measurements of the ingredients were added to my salad. Essentially, I paid $16 for something I didn't originally order and they couldn't possibly fill the bowl with romaine and spinach to give the "illusion" that I got what I paid for. To top it off, the steak was super salty. What I enjoyed most was the dressing and they gave me a good amount of avocado. All in all, quite disappointing...a total waste of time and money. read more

This is the first time I've tried the salad at Chop Shop; wow, the bowl was massive and veggies looked fresh. We ordered a junior Cobb salad and it was pretty filling, every ingredient harmoniously blended together in a symphony of taste and texture. I really adored the tiny croutons, just the right amount of boiled egg and cheese with vegetables. I like their ranch dressing but I wish I got more (I'm a dressing girl; calories be damned!). My first time in just to try it out. Got a Sante Fe Salad and it was fresh and good. This spot gives you another choice rather than burgers and it is far better than most burger joints. My real issue is the price of $15 plus the tip is on top of that. I can get a nice big salad at most restaurants for around $17 plus tip. I have eaten salads at many walk-in and sit-down restaurants with more toppings. BUT I must say, if you need fast food, quick to take home, this healthy spot would work for that. The place is quite small and only one restroom for men and women. I think most people take the food home to eat. The two people before me spent about $45 plus tip for two salads and drinks and ate there. I think if you are going to build your own salad it is best to look at the choices before you go in. I did not have time to go through the list of toppings and just a bit hard to read quickly. The location is really good for me being in South Reno. Plus I had friendly service. I feel everyone should try it once and if you find a craving for a fast salad, this is the place to go. read more

I'm actually a sucker for Salads and if there is one thing I have to say.... Salads are probably also one of my favorite foods in the world and it's good for you. I work in South Meadows and I was craving a good salad. I didn't have time to make my own salad at home so I ended up looking on Yelp to see if there was any good places with Salads or if there was really any stand alone salad places around. I was surprised to see that Damonte shopping center had a this place and to be honest, I truly think this is quite a good spot and the location is prime with it being in the walmart shopping center and being the only salad only place available in South Reno unless you are getting it to go from a restaurant, as a side from one of the fast pizza places, or the small pre made salads at the grocery stores. There's different salads to choose from here or you can built your own to your liking, which is convenient for others who may not like all the different toppings on their salad. I will say, the salads are a little more on the pricy side where you will find yourself spending a solid $20 for either one of their specialty salads or building your own with whatever you want. (Also depending if you made it a combo with chips and a drink).But if you want something healthy, fast, and a fulfilling type salad, then I will say Chop Stop is place to try if you are in the Damonte area. They have a drive thru, which as lazy as that sounds, It's very convenient for a fast lunch break. read more

Ordered the Vegan Choppuritto..... I'm in love lol, I love everything about this bowl. Everything is fresh and full of flavor. My favorite out of the entire bowl is the Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette OMG! Tried out the Chop Stop today after recieving a coupon at the Divas Day Out last month. I decided to have my salad wrapped in a tortilla and grilled. I did the build your own warm bowl. It was cilantro lime rice, romaine lettuce, purple onion, black olives, roasted corn salsa, fresh jalopenos, tomatoes and cucumber. I opted for no protein this try. I wanted to see the freshness of all the veggies. They were all very good. I got a side of Chipotle ranch and a side of dill goddess. This is why I gave 4 stars. After sitting down to eat, I didn't receive the Chipotle ranch, so off to the counter I go and wait behind a customer to get my sauce. What was supposed to be the dill goddess was actually blue cheese. So I had to get back up again and wait behind customers to get this one fixed as well. Now the cashier was the sweetest as she met us at DDO and was the one that passed out the coupons to us. Very sweet to say the least. The restaurant itself was very clean. It was really busy with dining and drive thru. Orders did come out quick, And once I got the dip situations fixed, it was very good. I'll be back to try other base ingredients and add ins. read more

One of those lazy days where you want to eat something healthy but really too lazy to go to the grocery store to buy all the things to make a salad. I was hungry for a Cobb salad, so I had my husband stop by and pick up a chicken Cobb to go. The salad was huge and delicious. It was really satisfying and the dressing tasted homemade. They have a range of choices including making your own concoction. If you order the Cobb, I would recommend asking them to omit the sunflower seeds, since the taste seems to overpower it. For this group, I had VIPs and did not want to serve sandwiches where people are stuffing food in their mouths with their hands. I wanted a fork & knife lunch that was uncomplicated but delicious...and not a hot meal. I chose three types...the Santa Fe, Cobb and Asian. The Santa Fe was the most popular. My CEO reported that the salad was delicious and he really liked the idea of having the variety. I did not take orders in advance - I did an equal quantity of each salad and let people pick. I added balsamic dressing on the side in case people did not want the ranch or bleu cheese that came with their salad. (The Asian had a delicious teriyaki vinaigrette!). Ashley at the store helped me tremendously and made sure the order arrived at the office on time. This was a TOTAL HIT! This place would actually be good if it wasn't so poorly managed. We used to get lunch here often, but most of the time they got our order wrong and after paying so much money for salads without any dressing we decided to stop eating here altogether. It's a big hassle to try and verify that they get everything right in the drive thru, especially when there are so many things they get wrong. I mean it's a salad place, how do you forget the dressing? Especially when the customer paid more for extra dressing?!? I tried calling them to ask for a refund, but they never answer the phone. Update: so the business owner replied to my review and claimed that all of my reviews are 1 star which is completely false. It turns out that he does this every time someone gives him a bad review, he just lies and accuses them of giving everyone bad reviews to try and cover up the fact that lots of people have a bad experience at his business. I couldn't find a salad that had an appeal, so I created and ordered online. Simple and easy to use the online system. I chose the 5:15 pm pick up time. When I arrived there were a few cars passing through the drive-thru, and three customers in line. The store is bright and Covid adherent. I arrived early, so my wait was sufficient and near the promised time. I was surprised the container was actually able to fill up two dinner salad bowls. Salad was actually better than expected. I don't like the bagged salads, and this didn't have the taste of one. Also ordered thousand and the raspberry vinaigrette to mix together, and it was perfect. My cost was $16.86 with tax, and as long as I could get two servings out of it it's within range. If they can make smaller serving salads, that would be perfect. To preface, I ordered Chop Stop through DoorDash. Thankfully, the ordering system through DoorDash is really simple. I customized my salad with avocado, iceberg lettuce, spinach, corn, cheese, red onion and had ranch put on the side. I also ordered some Popchips on the side. My salad was amazing! The taste was very fresh. My salad clearly had been rinsed as I didn't taste any off flavors. I have ordered a few times subsequently and when you ask for avocado, these folks are NOT shy! I got tons of little bits of avocado in most of my bites and it too had a very fresh, ripe taste! The salad comes all mixed together so it was ready to eat when it got to me. The portion size seemed price appropriate and I will for sure continue to order lunches from Chop Stop. If you're looking for a healthy lunch, Chop Stop is a great option.
