I loooove Togos Turkey and Avocado for lunch, so when my boyfriend suggested Togo's for dinner I was a little suspicious. For some reason, I enjoy more of comfort like... Hot foods for dinner. He then suggested to try a cheesesteak.... So I did. I ordered online and added red onions, Jalapenos and Chipotle mayo and it was the best hot sandwich I had in a loooooong time. Hubby and I wanted sandwiches for lunch I remembered a Togos had opened a while ago so off we went. I remember Togos when I lived in Phoenix, the menu is the same. The classics and they've added some new items too. My turkey, salami, and provolone with Togo's toppings ( plus the usual toppings) was delish! The bread-yum. There is a great ratio of bread to yumminess inside. They have tables inside and a few tables outside in the shade which is where we sat and it was perfect. You can order on the kiosk inside, at the counter, or online. There were a handful of people eating there but lots of people picking up 'to go' , lol. We will return! read more

Nice clean interior. However, they only had one guy working and took prob 10 mins for our food to come out with no one in the store (multiple people picked up orders tho). When the food came out, I couldn't eat it. The guy making the sandwich put WAY too much pepper on it. Combined with the already pepper-y roast beef, it was barely edible so I just tossed it all. The new location on Vista is open! Grew up with Togo's so we were happy to see a local one opening up and they did not disappoint. We were a party of 3, but I didn't get pics of the other sandwiches because my party devoured them. Lol Loved the specialty Philly cheese sandwich as well as the cold black forest ham and turkey. All sandwiches were made perfect to our liking by a group of fun and energetic staff. There were only a handful of customers but there is sitting inside and outside with ample parking out front. Usually, I love their sandwiches but lately I've been totally noticing that they're totally understaffed, which is understandable but it's to the point where it takes about 20 minutes for a single sandwich order. I disliked that I noticed that I was not the only customer in the place that felt like it was too much of a wait as we were all polite, but you could definitely tell it was too much of a wait for a sandwich. I went to high school in the Bay Area in the late 80s. There was a Togo's in town that I went to frequently. It was the kind of place where I'd order a regular size instead of a large because they'd stack it high with meat and fixings. When I ran across the location today while running errands I was excited to have a Togo's sandwich for the first time in thirty years. I should've left the memories in the past. It was just 15min after opening. Initially I was the only person in the store. The staff is just rude AF. I was checking out the menu because it's been a while since I've ate at a Togo's. The two girls just stared at me. Finally I decided and verbalized my order to the person most in front of me. Instead of answering, the other girl to my left said she would help me and proceeded to walk to the register. I placed my order, and then the next girl took the ticket. While peering over the counter, I could finally see the fixings. I asked for her to leave off an item. She told me "I work off a ticket. Next time, tell the person at the register." This was done not in a polite FYI tone, but an "are you stupid?" tone. I got home and found a rather disappointing sandwich. Many of the contents were falling out. It had at best a light dusting of lettuce. The only reason it has any kind of thickness is due to the three 1/2" peppers holding the bread open. Just under $13 for a 9in. sandwich. Fond memories were crushed. If it was the lunch time rush, I might forgive the service. Clearly they need to remind the staff that customers keep the doors open. Lots of sandwich shops in the area. Spend your money at any place else, and you'll have a better experience. read more

Okay so I had to see what the hype is about with this California supposed legend. On this occasion I ordered via Door Dash so I'm not sure if prices were juiced up on that platform but this sammich was pricey ($15 plus-tax delivery fee etc which is no fault of the restaurant I guess?). I tried the "new" pastrami cheesesteak, which seemed like a no-brainer. Wasn't what I'd refer to as an authentic cheesesteak but nevertheless it was very good. Comes with a very generous pile of pastrami, mushrooms, sautéed red peppers, red onion, and melted American cheese on sourdough roll. Again, very good but not a cheesesteak. 1 star deduction because I requested no mushrooms and they were still there. Drives me crazy when restaurants don't follow instructions. Otherwise I coulda easily given this delicious morsel five stars. I'd definitely eat this again. read more

I was not able to get pictures because my phone was dead but Courtney the manager had the best customer service that I have seen in a long time. On their Sandwich board it is not clear that when there's nothing underneath the sandwich it automatically comes with a chipotle mayonnaise spread. There was a customer that had ordered something off of that menu and was not aware of this and when they handed her her sandwich they told her that it was on there. She apologize profusely for not realizing this and had asked if they can make another sandwich that she would pay for and Courtney immediately told her that there would be no charge they would remake the sandwich no problem and just kept reassuring the woman that it was not her fault. My sandwich was the brewhouse chicken which was delicious and my son had the Philly steak that he was also very impressed with. But if you want to have a great sandwich and great customer service definitely goes to this Togo's location and say hi to Courtney because she totally rocked it read more

I was so happy when Togos came to town. They are my favorite sandwich shop from back in the day in San Jose. But let me tell you, there is a massive difference between the Togos sandwich shop of the 1990s, and this current corporate entity. There is absolutely no love in this sandwich anymore. First of all, the reason we used to go to Togos was because the sandwiches were massive. They were loaded with stuff. That's what made them. Now they got the scale out. So I'm gonna do some math for you guys. A regular sandwich with 2 ounces of pastrami is $11. You have to add double meat to even have a sandwich. So we have a hoagie roll that cost a dollar, we have lettuce tomato and Swiss combined that cost maybe $.50 and 4 ounces of pastrami that cost two dollars. How is it that that sandwich right there and a small bag of chips just cost me $20 out the door? This isn't inflation, this isn't anything other than corporate greed. That is HUGE mark-up. If your overhead is such that you have to charge $20 for five dollars worth of food. Then I am done eating out. And you should close your doors because it's not tenable anymore to own a sandwich shop. For the customer or apparently for you. I feel shame for you for charging me $20 for a sandwich, and I feel shame for me for doling it out. So sorry Togos, this was our last dance, I'll be making my pastrami's at home now. read more

This was such a surprise that we found TOGO's again. My fiancé was so happy when I said that grub hub had TOGO's so we ordered our favs and let me tell you when I bit into that Roast Beef and Turkey with avocado and bacon it brought back so many memories. My mom and I always had our girls date on Saturdays in the 1990's in San Jose CA. and when she passed I always missed those days so biting into my sandwich for dinner was the best night. I love Togo's and grew up with them living in San Jose and Sacramento. My dad and I have only ever ordered one sandwich, the classic #16 Italian. I loved this location until they inexplicably decided to change the dressing from Italian vinaigrette to balsamic which I've never heard of anyone putting on a sandwich before. It's insane to me that they would make such a significant change to one of their longest running sandwich's and not even have Italian vinaigrette in house anymore so people could customize with it. Immensely disappointing. I moved to Truckee after 40 years in Orange County CA, where TOGO'S was a dependable great sandwich store. This store opened in Sparks about 2 years(?) ago and is consistently terrible. Each time I ordered a pastrami sandwich and there is so little meat that it cannot be tasted, over the abundant Lettuce, etc. Even taking all of the meat off of one side of the sandwich and putting it on the other side it is barely there. The many years practice of decreasing ingredients to keep prices down completely fails in a sandwich. This TOGO'S location has increased price and decreased meat. A pastrami sandwich is a Lettuce sandwich with scant meat. Not enough meat to be even tasted. I've tried this store 3 times since they opened and it remains a complete failure. Pastrami is sliced micro thin and there is so little of it that it cannot be tasted. TERRIBLE sub shop. Don't waste your money!! read more

Hands down THE BEST quick sandwich stop I have ever known! I love their #9 which is their Hot pastrami sandwich and their #24 which is their Turkey and avocado. Both are heavenly and I crave these all the time! Their bread is always so fluffy and I love that they have whole pepperchinis for their sandwiches instead of slices because I get mine on the side and one bite of the pepper and then the sandwich and I am in heaven! As I am a native Sacramentan transplanted to Reno, I was excited that Togo's was making a comeback to the northern Nevada area. I grew up on this stuff. Long story short, the new Sparks location is just like the old Reno locations that closed down. I guess they think they're bringing a taste of Northern California to Nevada, but I could do without the mold, thanks. And, the only thing that made me notice the mold was after I snapped a picture of the lack of the normal generous amount of tuna to send to my sister in Sacramento to marvel at. I know I'm probably naive to compare one location to another, but if this is the supposed flagship store for a resurgence in Nevada, try harder. I think going to Togo's will now be a treat when I go back to Sacramento to visit family. read more

I was surprised that the restaurant was full of employees, especially since most places have been short staffed. The service was great, they stopped by our table to check on us. We had a party with friends that also grew up with togos so we got 2 of their catering boxes (12 sandwiches each box, cut in half) they were great! Just another average sandwich shop. I swear they use the same yoga mat bread that Subway uses.(I asked for sourdough, and this bread literally fell apart after a few bites-real sourdough is hard on the outside and has substance!) Turkey was just sliced lunch meat, not fresh sliced from a big whole turkey breast like it used to be at the old TOGOS... They were very generous with the avocado, which was freshly smashed and tasted great. The employees were super nice and efficient. The store was clean and the menu board very clear.
