The food looked great, but sadly it became apparent while we were waiting for our sandwiches that the cook in the kitchen was not wearing a mask or gloves. He even came out with three bags of to go orders without a gloves or mask on. This was surprising because the woman taking our order had a mask and gloves on so why didn't the guy handling the food?? I enjoyed the hot sandwich I got there and this deli has replaced Schlotsky's as my goto sandwich of choice. What I enjoyed most was the bread. The owner told me he ONLY uses a high quality UNbleached flour and it shows in the taste. The one downside of the place is the parking in front of the restaurant is limited however the owner told me they have have additional parking in the back and sides. read more

Stopped by today to grab lunch for a friend and myself and WOW! The fresh baked bread is everything it should be. I had the blackened chicken and avocado and my friend had the Rescue sandwich. Neither one of us could eat more than half of them. They were both incredibly delicious. I tried the potato leek soup and it was delicious as well. My new favorite sandwich place!!! read more

So as the name suggests the bread is outstanding and was the highlight of my sandwhich, however the meat itself (I got Turkey and ham) were average at best. just tasted like regular sandwhich meat from subway. The potato salad that came with it was pretty good also. I would say it is a decent sandwich with amazing bread. read more

Someone had posted a little recommendation for this local restaurant through the Nextdoor.com app. Since I work down the street, I decided to stop by after work and give them a try. Very nice man working there. He asked if this was my first time there, then explained the menu to me. I ended up ordering a Reuben Sandwich. I can honestly say it was the best Reuben I've ever had. They bake their sourdough bread fresh every day. I also had a small sample of their potato salad. I didn't have high expectations for the potato salad as the bulk ones sold in the grocery stores aren't very good. Surprisingly, I really liked theirs and highly recommend it. We will be back!!! This is the best sandwich place I have found in Plano. They have a great price for their lunch special, but other items are equally reasonably priced. Wow, What a gem!! 5 stars is not enough for this place. We went for lunch today and were beyond satisfied. EVERYTHING is fresh. They make their own bread which I would liken to Schlotzsky's, but better. We had four of their sandwiches. The Philly , Chicken Cordon Blue, Chicken Parmesan and the Chicken with pesto and avocado. Super fresh chicken, like I said the bread they make there, the flavors are right on and you get huge portions for the price. I would HIGHLY recommend, like someone else I am sure pointed out, don't let that this place is next to a gas station put you off. They are super nice folks, the place is spotless and the food is WONDERFUL, you can not go wrong here. This is an old school Deli, mom and pop place that I wish they had more of. You can tell they care and as so many places like this get taken over by large retail dining chains we should help support them and help them survive this crazy time we are in. I know this is my new to go place for sandwiches. I noticed they have pizza now as well as a large array of sandwiches, so may try that next time. read more

This place is a must go! If you like sandwiches at all you will love it! I've been wanting to try this place for months and finally my husband and I did.. it was great. It is a small place in a kind of hidden location but I will not forget it is there any longer. As a few have already mentioned it is run by a couple and they are very nice and welcoming. Since we were new comers the man kindly walked us through the menu and patiently waited for us to choose our sandwiches. My husband got a pastrami and I got the chicken club. We both loved them. First of all the bread is far better than any sourdough sandwich bread I've ever had and I'm a little convinced anything would be good in between a couple pieces. I'm usually not a pastrami fan but I had a bite of my husband's and I gotta admit ...it was good! But I have to talk about the chicken club. It's grilled chicken (real grilled chicken not some heated up frozen chicken) melted provolone cheese, bacon (perfectly cooked btw), lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo. It was delicious! Te owner is very nice and the small deli is immaculately clean. My expectation was of San Francisco style sour dough but it was like Schlotsky's. Not crusty and puffy soft in the middle. That said the tuna was great s was the small sides of potatoes salad. read more

I should have written this review long ago! I have a family of five, two of which are quite picky. It is by far everyone's favorite place to get a sandwich. The menu is extensive regarding protein selection. We love the perfectly seasoned tilapia sandwich and if you insist of watching your carbs ( you are REALLY missing out on excellent bread though), every sandwich can be made as a salad. I am blessed to live a mile from the shop, but I would travel 30 minutes just to eat here! If you want truly authentic 4 ingredient sourdough, this is the place to go!
