I was lured in by their signage that states the food is "Crafted by Macaroni Grill", which I have always been a fan of, as I am a fan of its founder, Phil Romano. The place is not fancy. In fact, the interior is pretty basic. Concrete floors, steel furniture. Nothing very permanent looking. It's clear the emphasis here is the food. We were greeted warmly by Lexi when we arrived and she helped guide our first time visit. She is a super ambassador for them and made me excited for my food to come out. We had an appetizer of Mac & Cheese Bites with Alfredo Sauce to dip them in. They were delicious! I ordered a Chicken Parmesan Sub with Fries for my main. Also Delicious! This was a fun twist on Mac and Cheese! So many options to throw on your Mac meal. Seriously, there's a big selection. I ordered my Mac without meat and it was very tasty. This is quite a lovely place! As the other reviews stated, the staff are quite sweet and the food is excellent! Your pasta won't come out right away and that's a good thing since it seems like they would be preparing it from scratch? It was less than 10 minute wait and when I finally got my mac, it was a hot, gooey, magical cheesy deliciousness. The portion itself was huge! Tried this place for the first time because I'm a huge fan of macaroni and cheese and saw they just opened, and I have to say it was really good. They've got a lot of great options and it actually feels like a spot you can keep coming back to and try something different each time. The staff went above and beyond and were extremely kind, which made the visit even better. My only small critique is the overuse of parmesan in some items since I personally prefer American cheese, but that's just preference and didn't take away from the quality of the food. I really wanted to like this place and based on the reviews I thought it would be good. I ordered the bbq chicken mac n cheese and truffle fries. The fries were basic not bad but not worth the portion they charged. The real issue was the mac n cheese. Absolutely no flavor at all the sauce was watery and it tastes like the velvita sauce .the chicken was so bad they should embarrassed. The Manager/Owner met us at the register. We perused the menu which hung above our heads (would have preferred something to look at in my hand, don't like bending my head up). My husband & I decided on the hamburger Mac & cheese & the fried Mac & cheese (an appetizer). He didn't have a drink machine in yet so everything was cans in the cooler. I didn't see anything but water and I asked him what the yellow & orange cans were. They were Pellegrino (or something like that) and he said the yellow one was lemonade. He said it was really good. I decided on it. BOY, did I disagree. Ended up throwing more than half out. He brought us a free sample that was macaroni, mozzarella cheese, pine nuts, and I'm sorry but I can't remember the rest. It was VERY GOOD!!! He brought us our appetizer and entree. The fried Mac & cheese was fried Mac & cheese. The hamburger Mac & cheese was good. Had a little bit of a kick to it. We ordered the limited time brisket Mac and cheese and the chicken parm sub! Both were delicious but my favorite part was seeing the owner be so involved and hands on! They were going through a rush while we were there as well as trying to fix their soda machine and he was running food, taking orders, trying to fix the machine! This was our first time eating at Twisted Mac. They have been open about 3 weeks so far and the food was delicious. Talked to Jonathan (franchise owner/manager) and he was so nice as soon as we walked in the doors. Bring it is brand new, there's still very little traffic so it was very relaxing inside. We were also given a sample of the Pesto Mac & Cheese and it only proved that there are many other items on the menu that I need to try because it was also delicious. We recently tried Twisted Mac for the 1st time via DoorDash. Our order was missing 2 side salads and when I called the restaurant to let them know what was missing, the owner Jonathan answered and said he'd correct it immediately. Not only did we receive the missing salads, but we also were brought 2 other free menu items to try, along with 2 slices of cheesecake. To top things off, Jonathan delivered the items himself! The food was great and the excellent customer service was exactly what you would want as a diner. Came here on a date and ordered the truffle mac, and the manager (who seemed like he may have been the franchise owner, not sure) brought out a few free fried mac and cheese bites for us to sample, plus an extra brisket mac that had been made on accident. The portion sizes are HUGE, especially for the price. The truffle mac only cost us $12.50, and it was more than enough for both of us to eat until we were full. This place was absolutely amazing. For a really new business, they seem to have everything really figured out. They said they were still training their staff, but the quality was better than most places I've ever been to. The food was great and the customer service was some of the best I have ever seen. It also has a really welcoming atmosphere that sets the bar high, and they match that high level with everything else. I can't wait to see how this place will evolve over time.
