One of the oddest places in the area. I've gone in the middle of the day and it's old white dudes at the bar and Jay-Z playing on the juke box. It's a real mixture of cultures and ages, but a great place to kick back. The food is great, the burgers look like the burgers in a photo. The bartenders are great and the drinks are worth way more than the 11am-7pm $2.25, happy hour prices. Being "Black", coming in and prejudging is easy... but if you can get past the country and rock songs they play in between the hip-hop and R&B (think old school skate land mix), and aren't bashful about talking to a complete stranger... you'll have a ball. Did I mention they have the best burgers in town..

Since it is our first time, she passed it on to the kitchen manager kyndell, who kindly brought us the palmetto chicken sliders. They were savory and sweet and amazing! The Bri appetizer was delicious as well, with crunchy bread to serve with. On to the lunch : both got the smash burgers, sweet potato fries, and regular fries. Regular fries were seasoned to perfection, and crunchy. Sweet potato fries were waffle and dusted with a little sugar. Both were great! Burger was crispy and you can tell it was a quality meat. House sauce was good as well! Dessert: we got the bacon wrapped dates which was the star of the show. Such a creative concept, came with goat cheese and honey! They were amazing, and I could have had 10 more. The flavors paired perfectly. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, Abby and kyndall really made our time special. We will be back to try the pizza and other apps!

If I could I would have given it 4 1/2 stars, because it was good but not great but definitely well enough not to drop it to a 4. Let's start with the location: very nice and everything seems real clean and cared for. Even the men's room was decent at 6:00 pm at night. Now our server: Sidney was very attentive to us. She took very good care of us during our stay. Now the meal: Again it was good. The wifey had the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. She tells me the sauce had a nice flavor but the chicken really had no flavor. Certainly not a Blackened flavor you would expect. The chicken itself was good and tender. As for me I had Shrimp and Grits. It also was good. It had onions and peppers in it and again the flavor of the onions and peppers just want there. Who knows. We also had the Brick Oven Brie. There was a really nice amount of Brie. So much that the toasted bread ran out way before the Brie. So as I said this was a good place and meal despite my small hits in this review. I firmly recommend this place because I do expect you to have a nice meal. Ps. To the owners: your link to your website doesn't work via Yelp. To potential customers: you will have to go your search engine and find the Charred site.

I had this in drafts, and forgot about it.*…read more Being originally from Columbus, OH I guess been to the original restaurant long ago in the late 90's. Due to the closeness of the station, our private ambulance/EMS crews ate there a lot. They even gave us 50% off on duty, and 25% off other times. The family liked it too. I do recall some of the patrons calling it "Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck". I'll explain that at the end. But, times change; I now live in Midlothian, VA retired from EMS after 31 years. We haven't been to a BWW in years, so we used a gift card that was left over from Christmas. Though the decor was "sterile" looking, the restaurant was rather dirty. Especially for a weekend meal, with the restrooms needing a bit of attention. Both my wife's and I had very over cooked/dry wings. With the patronage load being quite low the server was slow and had enough facial piercings to set off metal detectors clear out at Richmond International- but he was quite pleasant and articulate. I'm sorry y'all, but our visit was not impressive. I don't know what has transpired in the last few years, but the food and surroundings need some spiffing up to say the least. Oh, the "Weck" that I mentioned above. I was told back in my Columbus Paramedic days that it was a beef sandwich with the bun soaked with au jus. I had one of these later in NY state. Our Paranormal Investigation team was doing a haunted dry docked US Navy ship, and the restaurant we ate at served them. After trying it, all I can say is "You need this BACK on your menu, BWW!". Absolutely delicious!!! Thanks for your time! --J. "Doc" Lykins, VaPES Paranormal Team.

The food is fine, I'd call it more "okay" than "delicious". Last time the carnitas were not anywhere near the tender, juicy carnitas I'm used to trying at most any other restaurant and the general impression on all the other parts of our meal were similarly, just "okay". The place itself is nice enough, it's always clean. I've never had any sort of a cheerful or even smiling server, it's always more a basic "What can we get you...". The food runners tend to be very friendly and energetic however so it might be a much better idea to alternate those guys with the waitresses to at least give folks a sense of "Nice to see you. We're glad you're here." which is something missing from this more recent and all previous experiences. It must be a culture thing if no one's smiling and the customer-facing staff aren't outwardly friendly. Value for money is also just "okay", though with a little more scrutiny it's also easy to think the menu is a little over-priced if you consider the "meh" flavors and overall experience. In the end, if you're hungry, they feed you. If you're looking for something delicious, I'd suggest you keep looking...

After about 20 minutes the waiter realized this and asked if I got my food. I told l him no. I did not see him again for about 15 minutes, when he brought my food, well after my family had finished eating. We've been coming here for years but won't be back. I would have complained but the waiter was obviously avoiding us.

We thought…read morewe were going to have to wait for a while, but we were pleasantly surprised that the patio was open on a first-come, first-served basis, so we sat outside. It was a pretty nice evening with a light breeze. It was perfect, since they had over-the-top heaters and then a beautiful heater that came on at the end of the patio. We started out by ordering some old-fashioned drinks to sip, and they were amazing! Beautifully made and spot on with the flavor. For food, we decided to order from the three-course dinner menu. My husband started with a steakhouse wedge salad, and I had the chicken tortilla soup. Wow, both were so yummy. My husband could not say enough about his salad. My soup was bursting with flavor and full of chicken. And because we apparently needed to be extra, we had to order the lobster spinach queso because it sounded amazing, which it certainly was. It was full of lobster, spinich and pepper jack cheese!!! For the entree, my husband had the wood-grilled chicken, and I ordered the grilled salmon and shrimp. He said the entree was incredible. He loved the mushrooms and tomatoes grilled on top and especially raved about the parmesan mashed potatoes. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. My grilled salmon and shrimp were spot on. The shrimp were thick, and the salmon was grilled to perfection. Both were topped with a light aji amarillo sauce that was fantastic together. To me, the ancient grains pilaf topped the whole thing off, the salmon with the pilaf and sauce were a perfect three-piece combo that had me wanting more and more with each bite. For dessert, we both ordered the petite creme brulee cheesecakes. At this point, I was bursting, but the gorgeous vision in front of me could not be wasted!!!! The cheesecake had a perfect light crunch on top and paired beautifully with the fruit and dollop of whipped cream on the plate. Our server was kind and prompt with our food, even when she seemed very busy. Overall, it was fantastic, and we have plans to return.
