Even compared to the other Longmont dealers these guys are horrible. The managers like to tell you anything that's wrong with the car is just a sensor but never offer to fix even that! They break the law with half of the four cylinders on the lot, clogged emissions equipment, burning oil and blown out shocks. *****Posting on behalf of my Sister In Law ****** I normally don't write reviews, but what happened at South Creek Auto has left me without a vehicle and in a really difficult position, so I want others to be aware. In March, I traded in my 2015 Acura MDX for a 2011 Toyota Sienna that South Creek Auto sold for $15,000. I told the salespeople, John Neel and Erik Laura, that I needed a reliable vehicle to get to my new job. I'm a recent widow -- my husband of 17 years passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2025 -- and I've been living with my brother while trying to get back on my feet. This car was supposed to help me rebuild stability. Both salespeople assured me the Sienna was reliable and had been thoroughly inspected by their mechanic. That turned out not to be true. By April 25, just weeks after buying it, I had to take the Sienna to Corwin Toyota for a full inspection. They found $15,611.95 worth of repairs needed, including: * Damaged and leaking engine oil cooler lines * Timing cover gasket leaking oil * Rear passenger shock completely blown * Water pump likely failing * Both front lower control arms cracked * Full four wheel alignment required These are not minor issues -- they are major safety and mechanical failures I believe South Creek Auto misrepresented the condition of the vehicle. The appropriate restitution, in my view, is the $15,000 they sold my traded in vehicle for. I communicated with South Auto Creek multiple times, and they assured me that if I removed the negative reviews I had posted, they would resolve the issue as promised. I removed the reviews in good faith, but they did not follow through on their commitment. I removed the reviews and South Auto Creek did nothing to help. So not only are they unscrupulous in their business dealings they are also liars and should be avoided at all cost. I'm sharing this so others can avoid going through what I'm dealing with now. I trusted their word, and it has left me without a usable vehicle and facing a huge financial burden. read more

I went searching for a mid-2010 Toyota Tundra with low miles. Found a very nice show room quality 2014 Tundra Limited with the Crew Max cab with only 50K miles for a very good price. I live in Idaho and worked with the guys at South Creek as a remote buyer. I had a great experience buying the truck in all regards. They found me really good financing locally for a very good rate. John and Cisco were very open to any questions that I had. Cisco sent me tons of photos of the truck before I made the purchase. They even delivered it to Boise for a very equitable fee and I got to have a nice conversation with the drive Abel who was a very nice easy-going person to deal with. Shopping for a car here is similar to shopping for a BBQ grill at Ace hardware. You will probably find something that works, you will definitely pay far more than anyone else charges for the same grill, and nobody will be around to support you when it fails. Don't waste your time here. These are cars that no other reputable dealer chose not to sell and went to auction. Yes, you might be lucky and be the rare one that finds a gem, but the odds are not in your favor. It's more likely that you will be pouring money in the unreliable vehicle that you purchased here and looking for some other sucker to unload it to! The owner/management doesn't want anything to do with confrontation even though they're more then happy to sell you a broken car without disclosing any of the problems that it has. LEMON CITY PEEPS!!! If you are buying a car from Essex South make sure you are prepared to have tons of mechanic work done. They pass these cars off as being great cars and they aren't. The car we picked out couldn't pass emissions TWICE. When we got upset about the car not being able to pass emissions, they couldn't understand the frustraction about the time we spent at the emissions place TWICE and one of these times left me being stranded at the emission facility until the car cooled down...oh and this was after 2 hours after purchasing the car. It couldn't even last 8 hours before it broke...NICE!!! They only cover the car for 3 days (if it fails emissions within those 3 days they are not responible for the repair)...so I had one more day for it to pass. if it didn't then I would be responsible for the fix. NOT COOL!!! BAD-BAD-BAD If you buy a car there...you're taking your wallet in your hands, not to mention your safety with a dud of a car...consider yourself warned. read more

Visited the lot Mid-May of 2018, about 45 mins to closing. Eloy showed and test drove several cars, as if it was 15 mins after opening. He was attentive, engaging and open. When I expressed hesitation, he didn't pressure me or engage sales tactics. John (owner the past 7 months or so) didn't step on Eloy's efforts, yet supported him and added to the offer and my comfort. The entire team (sales, accounting, ownership) take pride in their job and communicate with each other. SouthCreek appears to be going through a revamp and my suggestion is to take advantage. Any car purchase requires homework and due diligence (on the buyer's behalf) but SouthCreek will do its part to will work with you and what will make you happy;) read more

I wish I can give these guys zero stars they sold me the truck and codes came up almost one week to a day after the purchase went through. When I called them and ask them if these issues were known about of course they were denied. Very unprofessional I will never recommend them or bring my business back to them they are scam artists. We found a car that we were interested in and the workers were very very pushy with us to buy it and get it off of the lot. Owner refuses to let you take cars to a mechanic, but won't explain what issues the car has. This is a huge red flag for me. Have test driven a few cars here and discovered issues that they just "failed to mention". Perhaps they didn't know, but that goes to show they really are not invested in what they do if I am able to figure it out within 10 minutes of driving it and they had no idea. Due to the total inability of salesman to report known issues and the lack of allowing customers to check out cars themselves, I HIGHLY suggest avoiding this dealership. read more

As I still been ignored by south creek and they have not been able to proof in paper that they actually fix the vehicle. I'll be organizing a peaceful protest in front of the dealer. I already checked with the city of Longmont and it's completely legal to do so. We will have signs encouraging people to shop somewhere else. BEWARE!!! My sister and myself looked at 2011 chevrolet aveo. We were not sure if we wanted to buy it, because we are both older, not much money. However, Cisco kept calling us. (They needed to dump this car on someone) He seem nice and honest...NOT!!! We tell him air conditioner don't work. They were going to charge it, but found out needed a new air conditioner compressor. We left it, because we would not have bought it without. We went to get it, drove down street and engine check light came on. It needs a catalytic converter. So left it to be fixed. Well they had it 2 almost 3 months. Just got it back engine light came on , had it tested catalytic converter is not good. They tell us tough luck you bought as is, but they forget we asked if any problems, good to travel in and Cusco assured us good car. We now have another car to park in drive way. My advice have car md come out worth money you spend to get a car you won't have to take home that needs $$$ repairs. They act nice but believe me they lie, won't keep you informed and once they have the money they walk away laughing. Try happy motors on colfax they are good people and actually check out their vehicles. Oh forgot to mention air compressor they put on shredded serpentine belt twice. Got a ride from SD too purchase an Audi A4 I spotted online. I went into this realizing that an Audi can be a finicky car. A couple problems showed up on the test drive and the price was discounted slightly. It was dark and pouring rain, my ride waiting patiently and as such I did not get all the due diligence in that I would have otherwise. The next day when I hit the highway to return to SD with it it was immediately apparent that the clutch was about gone, trying to use 5th and 6th gear was tricky. I got home and called the seller, realizing there is no legal obligation I was hoping that there was enough of an ethical compass for them to do something, anything to offset the additional cost. Of course that was a short conversation. My polite request and concern were dismissed in a few short sentences. Some businesses will step up in the spirit of making things right. This is NOT one of those sellers. This turns out to be a far cry from an "extra clean car ready to go". I wish I had noticed these reviews before doing business here. Buyer beware! I bought a car here and before 30 days were up it was completely broken down and sitting in the shop! The dealership I took it to for repairs assured me these were issues they had to have known about and sold it anyways! The owner refused to make things right and allowed the salesman to run me around for a week playing phone tag and telling me he was "sorting it out." He was in no way shape or form helping me, he just told me he was still working on it. The salesman was very nice on the day of purchase and assured me that the vehicle had been there for 2 weeks going through the shops testing to ensure that the vehicle was a good car for them to sell. He also assured me that the warranty I was purchasing was great and that they often covered things that weren't included in the warranty if necessary- should have been a red flag on my part! Post breakdown the owner and salesman were rude and blatantly refused to make a bad situation better. They are fake to your face and have no problem stabbing you in the back once they have your money! I made a very costly mistake buying from Essex South/ South Creek Brokers! Sold me a lemon! Immediately needed a 3000k dollar repair. They get their vehicles from other dealers which were trade-ins, and auctions (even worse). What happens is this way the service history and knowledge accountability is effectively wiped so that they can hide behind the "as is" sale. While I understand what that means, that does not morally absolve them from doing the right thing (which of course is to take it back), which they refused to do. Shady, shady people. They claim to have thoroughly inspected and even driven it themselves (not just around the block, they said, but even to the extent of using it to and from work to really get a feel!) I only drove it to the bus station just a few miles down the road. It turns out that the car they sold me needs a new engine. I called and spoke to their manager, Heath, about it. Only so I could drive an hour the next day to find out that they sold it. I stormed off in a rude manner and said some words I shouldn't have. Went there to look at a truck. They were over priced and would not negotiate at all. That's fine and all but the guy asked me to go inside and talk numbers. Why say that if there isn't going to be a talk about numbers at all. They also charge a dealer fee like most which is fine but he told me the fee was for the cleaning and inspection of the truck. Problem was the truck hadn't had any wax or any treatment in the outside. The interior was very clean but the outside hadn't been touched past a spray wash. That fee was $450 if I remember correctly. Wouldn't take the drive up there again to see them. Not worth it. read more

They were rude and unprofessional, the staff hung up on me several times when I have called for solutions for issues that came up.
