Since that time I have owned several boats and have dealt with different brokers, and what I found was that a lot of brokers were not too forth coming with detailed help when it came to purchasing a boat. A few years back I reached out to JR and wanted to purchase a 2008 Formula 350 SS. I was ready to buy it when JR told me I needed to do my due diligence and have the boat surveyed and checked out to see if it had any issues, He gave me names of Surveyors and Mechanics that he trusted and valued. After reviewing both the boat and engines surveys, and with the boat having some issues just like all used boat. JR was very helpful with the negotiations making sure a fair selling price was agreed by both seller and buyer covering any repairs that were safety matters and needed to be addressed. My wife, who doesn't trust a sole, looks out for me because, as she says I look through rose colored glasses, and she put JR to the test, and JR knew that if my wife didn't trust him, she would put him through the wringer. When my wife and I were ready to step up to a bigger boat, JR was the first one I called. He explained to me in detail how bigger boats require more attention than little boats and wanted us to be aware of that. He educated me on what to look for and steered me away from what he felt were not quality boats. 6 months ago, I stepped up to a 45' boat and JR was there for us every step of the way. We looked at many boats, and he wouldn't let us settle for just anything. Again, he helped us with the negotiations to make sure we purchased it at a good price. And when I think about that, I believe I've come up with the next evolutionary step of the "Cougar," which is the Crow. You see, my previously used term was "Mountain Goat," but now I think I like Crow better. The Crow's Nest has an interesting variety of burgers, sandwiches and flatbreads... It's been a few days since I've been there, but their Cuban sandich is delish.. Because I'm nice, I'll upload a pic of it. It's got a cool vibe and friendly staff and they take no lip from you. How do I know this? I'm scheduled for surgery next Wednesday to remove a fork from my face.
