Flight was delayed an hour and there was no one to contact via phone and ticket counter at airport was closed. Had to pay $250 for a taxi to hotel. RIDICULOUS has to be a better way to contact this company after hours. read more

DO NOT purchase a ticket ahead of time if there is any risk of flight delay. Fair price for transportation. Poor on customer service. Our flight got delayed by 5 hours; out of our control. The last shuttle was 6 p.m. and we arrived at 7 p.m. No attendant at desk. No pickup when calling their provided number. Had to purchase a more expensive Uber. Credit given is zero help to far-away visitors. Change the refund policy if you want to be fair to your customers. If clear documentation of the delay can be provided, give the refund and we'll use you in the future!! read more

Beware of the south tahoe airporter shuttle. We had taken a cab from the airport to the hotel, which was a massive rip off. But I didn't have much choice but to pay it because he got us where we needed to go. Fast forward 3 days and we were accepted to fly home at 730. I figured if we leave the hotel around 5 we should have plenty of time to check in and go through security. So I got us tickets on the south tahoe airporter leaving at 5. We get to the pick up spot about 30 minutes early. We wait and wait and wait and we see 5 o'clock come and go. Now we're getting nervous. Going through security moves much faster these days, but it's still an hour long drive. 530 told around and the shuttle is still not there. Around 545 as I'm about to call an uber, here comes the bus. It pulls up and about 20 people get off. Before we step onto the bus, the bus driver comes around and frantically shuts the luggage doors, gets on the bus and starts moving. A few of us catch her in the mirrors and we're asking her to come back and waving our arms. She stops, steps off and screams something that I couldn't understand. I still have no clue what she was saying. So by now it's getting close to 6 and I'm nervous that we're not going to make our flight. I ended up calling an Uber and he gets there in about 10 minutes. He got us to the airport just before 7. We just had enough time to check our bags and make it to the gate as the first group is boarding. I will have no clue if the bus ever made it on time. They say on their website that they do not give refunds. I figured after what happened to us, not riding at all, that someone might reconsider. So I reached out via email to roman it situation, but i never heard back. If we ever go back I'm not taking a chance with this shuttle, especially if we have a flight to catch. TLDR beware the south tahoe airporter. You may get stranded with no refund read more

This company took our money for a ticket and did not show. After an hour we gave up and took a cab so we didn't miss our flight. They don't answer their phone and don't communicate if you are traveling after hours. Their tracking application doesn't work so I had no clue when or where if they were going to show up. I'm writing this review because the previous reviews did not reflect our experience with South Tahoe Airporter at all, and I almost chose other transportation because of the bad reviews. We found the staff incredibly polite and helpful with any questions we had, and at the office we were able to get on an earlier departure to South Lake Tahoe due to our flight arriving earlier than expected. The drive both ways were smooth, scenic, and on schedule(weather was good and no snow or ice on the roads). Our drivers were warm and helpful with loading and unloading bags. I highly doubt you will find other transportation options with a better bang for your buck than South Tahoe Airporter, and I highly recommend using them if you're heading to South Lake Tahoe read more

It's a more economical option to go to South Lake Tahoe from/to the Reno airport. They have a few things that could be improved: more up-to-date directions, not closing sale window too soon, etc. But overall, we had no hiccups with the company and our driver was such a joy to be around (hello, Thomas Wright!!). If you're in doubt, read everything carefully and call them to confirm pickup locations as those can change due to various reasons (ours was due to some construction). read more

Have been using this service to get to and from the airport. My family also uses it to get to South Lake when they visit. Recently I booked a pick up at the casino, was confused about the change of location for pick up. I left a message for the office and my call was returned and questions answered. Was picked up promptly and left at the designated time. The driver was friendly; assisted many customers who had questions, pointed out wild horses and many cool views and the bus was clean. The bus left prior to the scheduled departure time, and in real time there is no way to contact the driver or any sort of customer service which left me to pay for a $200 uber instead despite the fact that I arrived on time. When I reached out to customer service they didn't even offer an apology let alone a refund. Know that the bus may leave you even if you arrive early so give yourself as much time as possible. read more

Not reliable!!! DON'T TRUST. We reserved the 6:10pm bus from Harvey's to Reno airport. When bus was about 10 minutes late we called and were told it would arrive in just a few minutes, it was delayed because someone at Golden Nugget had extra luggage. 10 minutes later our next call went straight to voicemail, indicating business hours were 8-5. Pressing 6 for emergency led to another recording. Multiple unanswered calls later, at 6:38pm we gave up and took an expensive Uber to avoid missing our flight. If there was an issue why didn't they proactively let us know??? Why when they answered our 1st call did they lie to us??? Do not be fooled by the seemingly inexpensive $32.75 fare. read more

The shuttle never showed up, nobody answered my calls or returned my messages and emails. After two hours of waiting in the cold I gave up and ordered a $150 Uber. I just waited 30 minutes for a shuttle that never showed up - I confirmed with multiple Edgewood staff that I was in the correct pickup location and I was there quite early. After waiting half an hour in the cold I had to take a $200 Uber instead because I needed to get to the airport... They also don't answer the phone outside of regular business hours and say there is a way to contact dispatch, but it is not a valid number. Would give 0 stars if I could. read more

I had a 7:50 pmreservation leaving from Ballys to the Reno Airport. I arrived up at the pick up point at 7:40 pm. The bus was pulling out of the driveway. I called the office and all I got was a voice mail machine. I had to get a taxi and it cost me $180.00. Then I get a phone call at 8:30 pm that the driver was at the pick up location. Shuttle never showed up, waited over an hour before driving friend to Reno myself. My friend was signed up/had reservation for 7:50pm shuttle from Bally's. At 7:45pm we saw the shuttle driver at Bally's valet area and spoke to him, he said he was just finishing the drop off loop and would be back for the pick-up loop in 5-10min. We verified he would be picking up on the North side of the hotel facing the new Event center. We called the office, no answer so waited a FULL HOUR before making the call for me to drive my friend to Reno myself. The driver said he'd be back but we never saw him, any large buses, or smaller van shuttles after speaking to him. This company is horrible with communication and pick-up locations are vague. Because it's a private company vs hotel provided service the hotels do not have much information about pick-up times or locations. I have used the South Tahoe Airporter before and knew pick-up locations were vague but not showing up after verifying that they would is unacceptable. I will not spend money with this company or recommend friends using them in the future. Thankfully my friend was headed to Reno the night before his very early morning flight vs. trying to get there that evening for a flight. read more

Took this shuttle in March from Reno airport to Heavenly Village. Booking online is easy and the bus is also easy to find in the parking lot. it came on time and depending on how many people are boarding it might depart a few minutes later than the scheduled time - if you are waiting for your baggage and see the bus outside you might want to check in with the driver first so you don't end up missing it by a few minutes and having to wait another 2 hours for the next bus. There is an office inside the terminal but not staffed with a sign saying just check in with the driver. It's door to door for the main hotels in Heavenly Village - if your hotel is not on the drop down list when booking just find a listed hotel closest to yours, in the village everything is pretty close by and within walking distance. read more

We have used this service for a number years to get to and from Reno Airport and South Lake Tahoe. The experience has been solidly and consistently good, convenient, and affordable. I feel compelled to write this review -- my first about them -- because Bus Driver Amy was above and beyond wonderful when we shuttled amidst the storm last week. Her attitude was so positive and heart-warming -- but realistic and not Polyanna-ish (she said, "It's a challenging day for all of us, so let's just try to be as nice as possible to each other" as we were pulling out onto the snowy road to the airport.). She elevated the mood and the overall vibe, and commiserated with us during checkin on the fact that most of our flights had been cancelled by Southwest. She even pointed out the wild horses grazing along the side of the highway near Washoe Lake (in dozens of trips, no one ever did that!) Really cool to see. One of her tire chains broke and she handled it quickly and like a pro. When someone complimented her on her great driving in the dumping snow (I felt totally safe!) she thanked them and said, "Give me three weeks and I could teach you to do it too!" Amy's kindness, skill, communication and professionalism was the brightest spot in our day (which turned into a loooong night spent in the Reno Airport!) read more

IF I COULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS, I WOULD. I booked a reservation over the phone over a month ago. I didnt receive any communication besides the confirmation email. When calling the company to ask where I will be picked up from the airport or who to look for, I could not get a hold of them after at least 10-15 tries. The hotel is not affiliated with this company and wish they would've given me other options because I waited for 2 hours at the airport on Christmas Day then ended up having to pay an Uber over $200 to get me to the hotel. I keep calling and no one is answering. Their fine print says reservation times are subject to change or cancel with no communication and tickets are non refundable so I was scared that they just werent going to show up. Turns out, a bus that had a different company name was here and I missed it. No one said anything, no signage and it would've been okay if they just answered their damn phone! We have used this service for years! And then out of nowhere in one weekend the shuttle failed to pick up our guest at the airport and she had to Uber to SLT. And now our other guest is stranded at Balley's and after her 8:57 shuttle hasn't shown up. She may miss her flight. No one is picking up the phone. What is going on? read more

I had booked a trip from the Reno airport to South Lake Tahoe in the early afternoon, but my flight was changed by the airlines, completely out of my control, with my new arrival at 9:20pm. I called to see if they would still be able to take me and my wife from the airport to our hotel after we arrived. The lady on the phone was pleasant enough, but I was told the last shuttle of the day leaves around 6 pm and they could not get me to South Lake Tahoe the night we arrived. Their only solution was for me to book a hotel in Reno and take a shuttle out in the morning. They have a no refund policy so I was unable to get my money back. TLDR, I booked this to save some money and ended up paying way more because my flight got rescheduled completely out of my control. Be VERY aware that any changes, even completely out of your control can ruin your trip and they aren't very accommodating. read more

Bus was OVER AN HOUR late taking us to the airport. They said they'd update us if the bus was late, but they never did. We called after 10 minutes, they said it would be another 20. We called again after it was 30 minutes late, and they said it would be another 15. We ended up taking an Uber because it NEVER showed up, and they NEVER updated us without us asking. If you have a flight, you're better off calling an Uber. We did not do this, but some people said that Ride Share drivers in the area will accept cash deals as they can get 100% of the money and you can be certain you'll catch your flight. Our uber cost $195. South Tahoe Airporter did not reimburse us, even though we paid for a service they did not deliver. Seems fishy..... read more

I am in the shuttle as I write this. We are in a small shuttle packed with people. All seats taken. A passenger has a dog. All good with the dog but if I was to be allergic to dogs, it wouldn't be good. That's not an issue. I gave them low stars because: 1) I tried to confirm with them the morning off. No one answered. I called again and left a message. I emailed. No one replied. 2) The shuttle has like 4-5 pick ups before it takes off to the airport. The driver literally took his time at every stop. Passengers needed to be picked up got in. After loading the luggage, He disappeared in every stop and left us waiting for him. The last stop (Montblue), no one was there to be picked (the shuttle is full so there was no way someone would be picked up). The driver still made the stop got out of the car and left. We waited. Car off. Windows closed. Full shuttle. I personally think it is very inconsiderate. This was my experience. I would rent a car next time. read more

Used STA on Friday, February 3, 2023. This was my second time using them. The weather was cold, but roads were clear. I took this shuttle from HardRock Hotel at Stateline to RNO. Shuttle was on-time, driver was friendly and nicely placed my bag in the storage locker. This was a large commercial bus that was very clean and comfortable inside. Temperature was comfortable inside as well. The driver Amy, was very informative about the ride and anticipated arrival time at the airport. We actually arrived about 5-10 minutes early at RNO, which I'm sure was a benefit to all passengers. When I return to the area again, I will defiantly book with this company again. We used it to go from Reno airport to Harvey's, and back. Both trips were seamless on time without a hitch hence the five stars. Bus seats comfortable. AC plugs available for chargers. Check in for the bus at Reno airport is at the Tahoe Airporter office, which is right behind National Car Rental. Before getting on the bus in Reno, you must first check in. You leave from outside Door D at Reno airport (in the center of the parking lot, green Amador bus). Pickup at Harvey's is right there at rear of the hotel. At Harvey's as long as you have already bought your ticket and made a reservation all you need to do is get on the bus. The bus driver already has a record of your ticket and reservation on his handheld computer terminal. We bought our tickets in advance online and did change our outgoing time reservation at their Reno airport office to give us more time at the airport before the flight. read more

Do not trust this company! They will leave stranded on the side of the road and tell you there is nothing they can do. We booked transportation for pick at 10:37am , we showed up to the pick up at 10:25 am and no bus came to pick us up. We waited until about 10:45 and then called the customer service and they told us the driver just decided to leave an hour early and there was nothing that they could do to help us. Even the confirmation email they sent me the night before stated that was an option. I cannot believe this business wasn't listed on Yelp just yet! I arrived RNO a few hours ago for "Yelp's Tahoe Getaway" this weekend, and I'm currently en route to Tahoe via this company's shuttle. I missed the 3:30pm shuttle due to a flight delay, but it wasn't a problem to get on the 4:45pm shuttle instead. I called to make a round-trip reservation the day before my arrival and spoke to Kalina, who was very sweet and patient with all of my questions. She answered them all and then booked my round-trip shuttle service over the phone. Mike is our driver and as he said, he's "a good driver and Kalina is a good people-person." That works for me! We're just approaching a very scenic part of the trip, so I'm going to stop typing and go check out the gorgeous views, but no complaints from me so far... If you're looking for a reliable and moderately priced shuttle transport from Reno to Tahoe, I recommend this company. It is worth noting that I'm using my own wi-fi though. I don't believe there is wifi on the shuttles. read more

Called and explained there is no way we can make it to new pickup location with family and bags. Refused to refund payment.
