This small to-go spot is a must try! When I walked in the place was small, but very calming, clean and not chaotic. The ladies working there were super kind and polite. They packed everything nice and neat and reminded us of everything we ordered. The food was amazing! We ordered egg rolls (mixed chicken and veggies), combo plate with the beef skewer (comes with fried rice, chow mein, and 1 egg roll), popcorn chickens, spring rolls, and grilled chicken skewers. The fried egg rolls and popcorn chickens fried to a perfect light golden color, making it tasty, light and crispy. Egg rolls came with dipping sauce but it's optional in my opinion because they were already flavored perfectly! The popcorn chickens were lightly battered and crispy and came with Sriracha-mayo dip making it a perfect combo. For the chow mein, and fried rice, I was expecting them to be typical Chinese style, which isn't bad. But, to my surprise, the noodles had a hint of sweetness and garlic aroma in a way that makes it very Cambodian. The fried rice tasted like it was prepared the Cambodian way, where the rice had a smoky flavor. The skewers were delicious! They were tender and the flavor was just right! They threw in some tempura green beans which I missed on the menu, and those were delicious. It tasted fresh and the batter complimented it and did not overpower. I tried their amazing food at the farmers market! It was right around the closing time of the market, but they were still taking orders. They ran out the chow mein and the fried rice, but it's okay, this ends well! They had so many customers, so having patience was a good friend to have while waiting to not only get some crunchy popcorn chicken but some leftover fried green beans on top that were generously added. We heard about Southeast Asia Grill from cuzzo eats on instagram. Was excited to try . I ordered chicken teriyaki and my man ordered skewers 1 orange chicken and 1 beef . We also ordered chicken egg rolls . Lady who took my order was super sweet. This food spot is a takeout only. Very small business with a couple chairs for you to sit on while you wait for your food. When I picked up food the lady who took my order informed me she put some popcorn chicken in my bag free of charge. Very kind. Food was good! Chicken teriyaki wasn't like the chicken teriyaki that I was used to and had more of a barbecue flavor but it was still good. Chicken egg rolls were amazing they were thin crunchy and delicious. I went here about 2 weeks ago and have been curious about the food. When i stepped in the door i was greeted by a friendly lady. I ordered the family meal to go that comes with chowmein, fried rice and bbq skewers, the staff also gave me a complimentary fried green beans to try. My husband and I went to Southeast Asian Grill after reading all the great reviews so, we were expecting the best. Unfortunately, it was a little disappointing- we ordered the chicken teriyaki, chow mein, 2 beef skewers and the vegetable egg rolls. We liked the chicken teriyaki and egg rolls, but not the beef skewers. The chow mein was just okay. We were surprised that the portion sizes were so small and thought the prices were high. The takeout containers are much smaller than what we're used to getting. Total cost was $38. We probably will not be back. read more

This place is a hidden gem. First they won me over with their service. Helped me through the menu. Very kind and generous. Seems like a family place. Mom was in the back cooking everything to order. The food sealed the deal. The beef flavor is amazing. Addictive. The chicken was really good as well. My son couldn't speak just "mmmmmmmmmm." Orange chicken is very flavorful. The chow main has really great flavor and I highly recommend. The rice was good was well and I'm not big into rice. The green beans, were very fresh and so good you almost don't need the dipping sauce. I preferred the teriyaki with them ultimately. Overall I was really impressed with the food. Was at the Modesto farmer's market and they have a booth there. Ordered some fried green beans and an orange chicken skewer for my husband. Had the chicken egg rolls for myself. The fried green beans were hot and crispy and served with a cream spicy sauce. My husband ate them all and was wanting more. I'm sure he could kill at least two of these! The chicken egg rolls were super crispy, even after the drive back to Turlock. I love tiny egg rolls like these! Served with traditional sweet chili sauce. My husband didn't realize that his orange chicken skewer would be popcorn chicken. They dipped it in the orange sauce and then wrapped it in foil. He would have liked more sauce on it. I'm so glad this place is super close to my work it is absolutely delicious! It's a little hard to find the first time but it's definitely a hidden gem. I'm not big on traditional egg rolls my best friends grandma is from Thailand and I absolutely love hers and these taste exactly like hers I'm so excited to be able to get them whenever I want now! I love the beef skewers they have the best flavor to them and just enough char from the grill. The rice and chow mein are also great and good sized portions with the combo meal. I'm glad that my coworker found this place and told us about it we all order weekly from here. Just got a popcorn Chicken and the Noodle Salad at the farmers market today, and I was so disappointed. Everything tasted so bland. The popcorn chicken was not really popcorn chicken. The batter is totally off. I could barely eat half of it and that's only because I was so hungry. The noodle salad was bland and the portion was ridiculously small for $7.
