I've had plenty of similar dishes from different places and this one just hits different. I must say it's always on point. Very similar to kapoon and other curry noodle dishes. My next go to is always the papaya salad Lao style. I need the sauce as dark as it can get. It's just my preference. With a side of sticky rice. I love the spring roll as well. Love the crunch they have in the center of the spring roll so you get different textures and I love that. Lad na combination was delicious also, very flavorful. The server was a sweet young man. He was very helpful and attentive. Came by to make sure we got everything we needed. I enjoyed the little restaurant ambiance. Very cute and traditional. I felt every piece of the culture.

It was my first time having Thai tea and I absolutely loved it. I even ordered one to go! I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and medium heat. Just a heads up if you don't like spicy I would not recommend medium. It was pretty hot even though I am a spicy kinda gal. Probably why their name is spice it up -- they did not hold back. They make their sausages in-house, and while they were good, I think they could be a bit larger considering the price, along with a touch more salt for a more savory flavor. Unfortunately, some items were out of stock, but that was completely fine. The decor is beautiful, and I love the lighting! The beef laarb was made with sliced beef instead of the traditional chopped/ground style, and the lime was overpowering, which threw off the balance of flavors. The fish cakes were undercooked and still slimy in the center, with a texture and taste that didn't resemble fish cakes at all. The chicken in the Tom Yum Gai tasted old and stale, and the Pad Thai was overly sour. To make matters worse, my mom didn't feel well afterward. Based on this experience, we won't be returning.
