Appointment time was kept promptly, which to me is the hallmark of a well run practice. BTW, some of the whiners giving bad reviews complain about delivery times. All practices (even Wal-Mart and Sam's) are at the mercy of the optical labs. While this has not been my experience here, it's an issue for any optician's office - small or large. Like only 2 companies dominate the market world wide.

I was finally told "oh yes, they're in." I never got a call to find out any of this from them! I was hoping for an apology or something from them, but nothing. A common and fixable problem, not a huge issue. But I recommend you confirm they cancelled an authorization you don't use.) The experience with the doctor itself was bad. I cried after I left. I felt she was annoyed that I was there, that her time was being used at all, and she and her daughter were making jokes about having a "chip on a shoulder" that felt like a code to make fun of either me or someone else, which did not feel appropriate in front of a patient. The very kind office staffer who checked me out was such a gift after that experience. Again, I cried after I left. I know she has an otherwise good reputation, so that should be noted. The other doc was abrupt and impatient and he didn't want me to ask any questions. His demeanor indicated that he just wanted to check my eyes and get on to his next patient. Afterwards, I felt like I'd been on an eye assembly line! Next!!! For this visit, Dr. Reeves came in, looked at my "chart" and looked at my eyes and he talked. He patiently answered all of my questions. He also took the time to discuss a genetic eye disease that I just found out that I have. From beginning to end, I was treated like a special patient and when I left the clinic I was totally at peace with the care I'd just received. I've already recommended Dr Reeves to a friend, who's already made an appointment to see him.
