It was my first ever visit. It's easy to book a session via the website. Pre-pay and heaven code is sent to open the locked doors. This business is open 24/7. It is unmanned. The place is squeaky clean. It's well organized. As a newbie I did have a steep learning curve to launch the game console and the projection system. I've never played video games. After 15 minutes of button pushing the control monitor and flubber-dubbering I finally got it up and running. So #1 recommendation: offer customers the assistance of an employee who teaches a newbie how to run the simulator. If it would cost an extra $15 that would be a good value. I had a planned routine to test 5 different golf balls. I ended up having to swing 125 shots for the record and another 30 for warm-up and repeats when I flubbed a swing or when the Uneekor system did not correctly track the shot. That took 75 minutes. I only paid for an hour session. The system did not lock me out after the 60 minute session expired. My one criticism is the responsiveness of the operating system. It was S...L...O...W... Choosing a routine such as a driving range took the machine at least 2 minutes to launch. I poked the touch screen multiple times to choose a function with no beep feedback response nor the function launching. I don't know if the machine (Bay #1) was glitchy or if this is the usual quality. Once I got the system to work, the simulator did track the ball flight and display the data pretty quickly. So will I use this facility for practice or a simulated round of golf? Probably not. The allure of golf for me is being outside in the sunshine, breathing fresh air. So being in a dark room smashing golf balls into a movie screen is a completely different experience. I will return if I'm tasked again to test golf equipment that requires data gathering.

If it were the rough, I could excuse it, but multiple times throughout the round, you can effectively get penalized. It sucks because the layout is actually fun to play through. That aside, the people here made the experience something else. They dragged down the experience. Multiple times groups would hit into the group in front of them; it was stupid, dangerous, and accomplished nothing. You would be waiting on the fairway on a par 4, waiting for the group ahead that's still on the green, and ball hit into you from the driver. They had the gall to yell, "Hit the ball!", but where are you supposed to hit it? Into the group on the green putting? The crotchery group hitting into them all had their own carts, instead of being paired; if they wanted to play at a faster pace, they should have booked a time that was earlier. The thing that really made this a 1 star experience was the attitude of the Marshall. There was a gap in front of us before even teeing off. A twosome teed off before our full group of four, and there was time in between. There was a gap of at least one hole before it was our time to tee off. In this marshall's brain, that automatically meant we were behind pace when he first saw us 3 holes in. The logic didnt add up, when he aggressively indicated that. This marshall was something else. He was overly aggressive and condescending. He even wanted is to skip multiple holes, despite being outpaced by a group half in size and built in cushion. He also made a remark about seeing off the wrong markers, suggesting to move further up. We ended up catching up too, to the group in front despite his asinine comments. We had to ignore him. I'm not going to pretend like I'm a pro, but I didn't have the best day out there and shot comfortably in the mid-70s, and ball striking wasnt the reason for the lost strokes. He was incredibly condescending to the people in not only my group, and in other groups based on everyone's accounts. Apparently he was even worse to other groups. I'm not sure what happened in that person's life to make him that cranky and have such a poor outlook on life; I legitimately felt a mixture of disappointment and sadness for him. I hope I'm never at that level of life. He also shot groups dirty looks throughout, and he really soured the experience. It made no sense. I've been fortunate to play at some exclusive places across the world, and this man was by far and away #1 on worst people associated with the course. He was incredibly smarmy and full of himself, and at courses worlds much higher up in prestige, never even got close to what this man gave off. All that being said, I cane excuse the conditions. It's tough to keep up perfect conditions, in this economy. The attitude from the Marshall though, that's free to fix. It was so bad that I won't be back again.

My 25th round yesterday. April 2026. Played with two guys who didn't know the course. I got to be…read moretour guide. The guys were 25+ handicaps. Whitney was a bit too challenging for them. They lost a LOT of balls, They seemed to enjoy scrambling around in the thick brush, marsh areas and the stands of trees searching for their balls and finding others. By ball scrounging they were net positive on the ball count by hole #18. No groups behind us so the ball collecting forays were not a problem. Whitney Oaks putting greens are wicked difficult. Not just the hard fast surfaces but from the roly-poly topography. Severe elevation changes on most holes. There isn't a flat green on this golf course. So if you are up for a challenge, come on down. As an indicator of the course difficulty the black tees at the tips have been closed. The blue tees are plenty diffiicult even for scratch golfers. Despite the challenge here, I love this golf course. It's scenic, woodsy, the air smells fresh. I always finish the game 4.5 hours later with a relaxed smile no matter how well or poorly I played.

We paid for a bucket of balls in the shop and were told to use the code at the machine. Since it was my first time there, I asked him where to go and he said to go where all the golf carts were. Well, I stepped outside and there were golf carts everywhere, so I just start wandering. I was walking up and down a line of golf carts and an employee spotted me from the maintenance area, and asked if he could help me. I told him it was our first time going to any driving range and we didn't know where to find the machine for golf balls. He kindly came up offered to drive us down in a golf cart and show us. I really appreciate when employees can escort you to where you need to go versus pointing in a vague direction. He drove us down to the driving range, and showed us the machine and buckets and talked us through it. Then he pointed out the chipping green and putting green. Very sweet and patient. It wouldn't be a big deal if you pass the clubhouse at the turn but you don't until hole 18. They need a snack/drink station somewhere on the course. Then when we finally ran into the cart girl at hole 12 she only had 2 waters and just beer and seltzers. Finally, after the round, I go to order a transfusion at the bar and was told they can't make it because they don't have grape juice. That blew me away because that is the staple golf cocktail. If anything get some grape juice, have more cart girls for a club with two courses, and some type of snack/drink station somewhere and this is a 5 star golf club.

We invested a considerable amount of money to play 18 holes, and every single hole presented significant issues. There were numerous workers stationed throughout the course, either attempting to repair problems or making excessive noise that adversely affected our golf experience. The course was in a state of disarray. The only aspect that was somewhat acceptable was the tee boxes. Every other part of the course was utterly unsatisfactory. I would also like to mention that we ordered beverages from the cart attendant, and we were completely respectful. However, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. Overall, it was an extremely unpleasant experience. It will take a considerable amount of time for me to consider playing this course again, and I am surprised that the members of this club do not express their dissatisfaction on a daily basis.
