This morning hubby and I were up early and decided to go out for a homestyle breakfast. Diane greeted us at the door with a happy good morning! Our order was taken by Christine, which was promptly placed, and the food arrived in a short period of time. It looked delish!! Well, it did not disappoint! My grits were made to perfection, the croissant was nicely toasted, and my scrambled eggs with cheese were just right. Hubby says that his was an excellent meal! Cooked perfectly and delicious! We have found our favorite eatery that feels so much like a diner. I grew up in a place where diners were the go-to spot where the menus were vast and delicious! We're happy to find this gem! The place has a welcoming feel and tables nicely spaced so there isn't the lack of privacy. Very homey and friendly atmosphere! Say hello to Diane and Christine when you visit! Kudos to Chef Greg!!!‍

Finally got to try The Southern Table, and it did not disappoint! Fairly busy at 9am, but we were seated right away. Great menu, with lots of selections. Christina was our server, and she was very fast - our order was taken right away, and the food came out a few minutes later. Chicken and Belgian waffle was great. The side of gravy was a nice addition. Biscuits and gravy were very filling. I split the two sides - they were both quite big. Will be back for lunch next time! Thanks, Southern Table!

This place is the quintessential greasy spoon. It is everything you can ask for from a southern diner. The service is oozing with southern hospitality. The restaurant is clean and well staffed. The food is homemade and expertly prepared. The menu is simple but interesting. I had the smoked sausage and egg platter with covered hashbrowns. The coffee was meh but everything else was better then I expected to be. The hashbrowns and sausage were absolutely amazing. If this was a platform for just Diners this place would be five stars with a bullet.

My wife had craving for fried green tomatoes and we found Southern Table had what she needed. We went an hour before closing for brunch and the crowd had thinned out. She ordered fried green tomatoes for her meal and I wanted the chicken Philly. They brought out soft cornbread that was like cake. Her Fried Green Tomatoes were very tasty, and the chicken Philly was delicious. We will be eating there again my friends. Service was very good as they had several staff members checking on everything.

My hubby had been working outside all day and asked if we could wait for an inside table. The host personally went and cleared/reset a table for us. My husband tried to tip him and he would not accept it. Our server was Cassandra and she was amazing. After dinner and dessert we asked for some recommendations amd she had some great ones. We had the lamb, a filet and a ny strip. All were cooked perfectly. The standout for me was the fried chicken. You can add a breast or thigh to any meal. I had a thigh and it was one of the best I have had. Crispy, tasty and the chicken itself was tender and juicy. When I come back I am definitely ordering the chicken! If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try. There is free valet parking, which is helpful since there is not a lot of parking. The valet were hustling! Did I mention the heat? Don't forget to tip them. The faster they move the higher the tip in my opinion.

While I waited, I looked over the menu. I really wanted to try the french toast or the waffle, but opted for the bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant and cup of their cheese grits. The latte came out quickly and tasted exquisite. Sometimes you get decaf and it tastes watery, but not this latte. My friend ordered a salad with grilled chicken on top. Everythign came out quickly. It was just after noon on a Friday when we arrived and there was a 10-minute wait for a table. Upon being seated, we were presented the menu. We both considered ordering the Reuben Sandwich but I opted instead for the Club Sandwich on Ciabatta (as recommended by our server) and a side of Seafood Chowder. We both just ordered water with a slice of lemon to drink. Our server eventually came back with my wife's Reuben sandwich served with a bag of chips and she also had my cup of chowder, commenting how the club sandwich will be served shortly. My wife liked her Reuben, with tender meat and sharp sauerkraut. She also liked how the rye bread held up to the strong flavors. My chowder was equally good but it wasn't served with crackers. We waited a while for our server to return so I could ask for some crackers but she went ghost on us. Finally, more than 10 minutes after my wife was served her sandwich, a gentleman, who we can only assume was the manager, came over to ask if I've been served my club sandwich. Of course I pointed to a clean table to indicate no sighting of my sandwich and I also asked for some crackers. A few minutes later, the same man came back with some crackers and apologized for a mix up in the back. That's when I told them to forget the club sandwich so we can be on our way. To the manager's credit, he had the club sandwich boxed up and gave it to me free of charge. He was very apologetic. I was still a bit miffed and thought about leaving the sandwich there but my wife convinced me otherwise. Needless to say, service wasn't at the forefront during that dining experience. Despite the service mix up, however, I was still inclined to give this place 4 stars for the taste and quality of the food. The staff can have some inconsistencies and I tend to believe that's not the norm for this establishment which has earned high marks on Yelp.
