I had a pesky side yard covered in weeds due to a large oak tree. I tried maintaining the area with pesticide and raking/blowing leaves, but it was constant. I'm thrilled with the job Southern turf did to add pavers and cover the area with turf. Now I'll have an easier time blowing/raking the area without pulling up tons of mulch and it looks beautiful. Wish I could cover the entire backyard but will need to save up a bit. Well worth the $$ and felt like very fair pricing. Install was done in a day. read more

We had quite a bit of work done recently in our backyard and quickly realized that our grass was not going to survive the transformation. As such, we were faced with trying to decide if we wanted to re-sod or make the move to turf. We contacted the Southern Turf team (along with 2 other contractors) to come over and talk to us and we never turned back. They were PHENOMENAL to work with. We tend to do a lot of remodeling - both inside and out - with our homes. As such, we've seen and have experienced the full gamete of contractors. I will tell you, hands down, that the Southern Turf team was the BEST team to we've ever worked with. They did exactly what they said they were going to do, at exactly the timeframe they said they were going to and at the cost they said they were going to. On top of that... they actually COMMUNICATED with us throughout the whole process. We received phone calls and/ or emails to let us know every step of the process. We are so happy with our brand-new Putting Green! Aaron and team were amazing. Very responsive, accommodating and worked with us as we changed our mind. He came out twice before the install to make sure we had what we wanted. The install team led by Sergio was fantastic and showed up right when Aaron said they would. Onsite for measurements, estimate provided, I accepted electronically, schedule provided (half day). I received a text asking for approval for the team to come almost two weeks early (heck yeah!), and out they came. They left a special rake, instructions were also emailed, invoice sent, BAM! We're done. That was a year ago, July 2020. I had two patches of turf installed for an older pup that passed away just as this was installed. My "younger" pup needed company, so I got a truly younger pup who has taken the turf through its paces running major zoomies over 1 patch and using the other patch to pee. I am eternally grateful for the extensive details provided about the various turf and recommending the best based on what might come in the future. After a year of hard use, sun, snow, and I've, the turf has held up beautifully, and I've only had to manage weeds at the edges as expected. read more

The crew came on 10/7 and wrapped up the project same day. Unfortunately there was a pierced irrigation line discovered during the closing walkthrough. While it would've been nice to experience no challenges during the installation, we were grateful that Scott honored the irrigation line warranty and organized his team to make the repair on 10/20. The work was scheduled & installation was done on time. We had to remove a tree stump at the last second and Adam didn't charge us for this extra work- that was so nice of him! The installation technicians were friendly and knowledgeable. We previously had turf installed by another company in a different part of the yard and Southern Turf did a superior job from start to finish. Well, where to start!? (Warning, long review) Soo... my husband and I have been toying with the idea of getting turf for at least a year, for half of our yard due to the mud and dirt that our dogs were causing. So finally, one day we decided we would get some estimates. We got 4 estimates and I can tell you that I may be one of the most pickiest people on this planet! Some of the estimates were less pricey, however no one reached back out to us, or returned calls. When Southern Turf came out, to give us and estimate, we were given a great 'mock up' drawing them -which was a perfect mock up and exactly what we wanted, however the guy (Josh) that came to give us the estimate was quite terrible to work with after he left. We called/asked/emailed for a specific detailed estimate about 2 days later, as we hadn't received one yet. He sent it a full day later -very vague, and then when we asked for a detailed estimate, and he responded quite rudely and basically tells us why do we need a detailed estimate.. since we weren't doing the work ourselves it wasn't necessary. WOW! Soo... needless to say, we found emails for some of the 'titled' employees at Southern Turf. (i.e. VP, DIrector, Sr. VP, etc... -thanks to Linked In).. We wrote a strongly worded email and wowww!!! That made a huge difference. Enterrrrr.... Amber! Talking about a huuuuge difference. She also had another guy Eric (from out of town/state, whom came out to take a look at our needs again, and gave us an estimate. (Take in mind, our yard wasn't a huge project, but also, we were still a customer). Eric made it so easy to work with, and then with Amber,. she was suuuuuper amazing! She was so so great with communication and answered any possible question we had and was very responsive. Even after hours. Sooo... all that being said, our job was done in the 2 days promised and the guys working were very nice and respectful, and very very courteous. No need to look any further, trust me... We've done all the hard work for you. CALL Southern Turf and ask for Amber. You won't regret it. It was well worth our time and initial grief. I'm glad we decided in the end to go with Southern Turf. They also have special financing and it's so easy to use if needed. Pricing is reasonable and competitive. The very next day we had a play date with my dog (1 year old Boxer) and my dog niece (7 month white Lab), and they are quite rough and run run run, and slide and zoomies... this turf didn't take any kind of beating at all. Ohh.. .also there were 3 drains installed under the turf, and the BEST THING EVER! We had a kiddie pool (larger than the normal baby pool) and dumped is out, and we never even felt or saw any puddling, and NO MUD! Basically, that turf pays for itself, immediately. The mud and dirt is such a headache, and this was just a game changer! DO IT! STOP LOOKING ANY FURTHER! SOUTHERN TURF FOR THE WIN! (the attached photo's are before and after). And we still have a few items that we personally had to do. - we had our reasons for keeping some real grass, and also had to re-install the black fence to separate the RV from the turf. read more
