Birthday wish granted. Southside Pizza for lunch AND dinner! While staying at an Airbnb in Chattanooga for my birthday, my husband spied a magnet for Southside Pizza on the refrigerator. I am a straight up fool for pizza, and as it was my birthday, I decided we should check it out. When we walked in, Hunter greeted us and made some suggestions. We ended up ordering the sausage and an Alfredo with mushrooms and spinach. Both were so good. I mean, so good that we ended up ordering a whole pie and Cesar Salad that night ... AGAIN. Love this place. Being from NY-I am a STICKLER when it comes to Pizza-and NOTHING BEATS Southside! They serve by the slice-(which is a delicacy), their slices are YUGE, and the taste is MMMMMmmm Mmmmm DELISH! Not to mention they carry Bravazzi Italian hard sodas-HEARD! If ya haven't tried one, get the blood orange or clemintine flav-its the best! So glad the Southside has the best Southside pizza! read more

This used to be a great pizza spot but they definitely changed ingredients recently. The cheese is terrible now - flavorless with plasticy/processed vibes. The sauce used to be great - simple but fresh with a little bit of a kick. Now it's bland. This used to be one of our favorite pies (and the best NY style pie in Chatt). Not sure what's going on - I'll try it again in a couple months to see if it's back to normal but if it has this cheese/sauce we won't be coming back. Bring back the old sauce and cheese! read more

Drove by and was really excited to see all the lights on and sort of a festive feel, especially on Christmas while I was looking for a place to eat, when almost everything's closed. Apparently they were just having a holiday party. No sign up or anything, which could have been helpful. Bummer looked like it could be good from their pics. Also noticed they haven't claimed their listing to fix hours and such. Would be nice for potential customers if they would claim that. read more

They have slices ready during lunch for quick pickup. They have a slice of the day too. The service was quick and friendly. The customer service here was exceptional. I love that I can get margherita pizza here by the Slice and the ingredients are awesome! The slices are the perfect size and the beer is very reasonable! Cheapest beer in Chattanooga I'm pretty sure! The service was quick so if you need a quick bite, I would definitely recommend. There is also room to sit and hang, but not that much, so not recommended for huge groups or lengthy stays! I love be vibe and believe this is the perfect addition to Southside. Currently they close at 10 but would love for this place to pick up so it can be a late night go to for Southside and the Chattanooga community! I was able to grab lunch here with a friend, and this pizza is one of the best that I have ever tried in Chattanooga. I'm not kidding it is SO good!!! The crust is the perfect amount of crunchy, and the cheese is perfectly cheesy and NOT too greasy. That balance alone will make me definitely return to Southside Pizza. The slices are on the larger end, so you don't have to worry about not getting full. The customer service is also very attentive, and they do a great job with making sure that you have what you need! This has become one of my go-to pizza delivery places. I'll admit the very first time I had this pizza (shortly after it opened) I felt it was okay, but it has really grown on me over time. Typically I like thick crust but their crust is a nice blend of being thin but still soft. I am not a fan of thin and crispy crust personally. I do think their items are a little over-priced; buying a whole pie is definitely the most cost effective way to go. For the first time this week I ordered 2 slices of pizza and their house salad to go; this came to a total of $17 with tax. The small salad was $7. Now the salad was super fresh and tasty, but for the size I think the appropriate price would be more like $4-5. I have not had a specialty pie I didn't like yet. Of note, the patio is NOT dig friendly. Unfortunately, this is a con in a dog-friendly city so you'll have to skip this place if you think about swinging by with your pooch (or just have to order to go). read more

Cute place and great customer service. I just wasn't a fan of the pizza I tried. I got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of cheese. It was good but it had the small pepperoni circles and there were a lot of them. I like the larger slices with a better cheese to pepperoni ratio, but that's definitely my preference. My hubby got the Spicoli and I had a taste and that was actually really good. He also got a slice of the chicken parm and said that was good as well. We have been on the lookout for a decent pizza place since moving to Tennessee a few months ago. Well on out family day trip to Lookout Mountain, we happened to stumble across this place. HOLY CRAP DID THEY NOT DISAPPOINT!! The pizza was absolutely delicious and perfect!!! Best we have had in months! Big pie, great sauce, scrumptious toppings! The only down side is its a 2 hour drive for us, but for this pizza, Id do it every week! Great service, great food, oh and even pet friendly!! I guess two words to describe it would be magically delicious! the crust is perfect...the crust wasnt as thin as i like however it compensated by being in my opinion a very basic yet artisan style crust, nice and charred and it stands up to the full flavors of the pizza pie! I stopped by here last night (a Monday night) to grab a few slices on the way home from the dog park/bar, and I was impressed! Their slices are huge, and they had about five options. My husband and I each got one of the margherita, and then I got a slice of the bianca and he got a cheese slice. They threw the slices into the oven to heat them up some more, and then we were on our way. The whole exchange took about 5 minutes, though they weren't busy. We devoured the pizza when we got home--it was so good! I love the crust especially (I'm picky about my pizza crusts.) They have a patio, so if they're dog-friendly I'll definitely be back to hang out and eat a whole pie there soon. read more

Stopped here on a road trip (with for kids) Found it on Yelp and glad we did. We tried six different slices and all were super fresh and tasty. Would totally have done five stars, but one slice was slightly burnt. Kitchen happily accepted it back and quickly replaced it. Great quality, quick, and casual.
