I found Southwest Bread at Palos Verdes Farmers Market. It was easy to love the long ferment sourdough. The stuffed bread roll are freaking awesome and I've never had a bad bite from here. I especially like the night owl (bacon, cheddar and red onion inside a sourdough bread roll). The sandwiches are fresh and well done. They also give awesome customer service. I first tried Southwest Bread sourdough stuffed rolls at the Palos Verdes Farmers Market. Wow they were fantastic! I loved the combinations especially the spicy ones. They're best right out of the oven when they're warm. I feel like the rolls were one of those special things you find when visiting a farmers market that you can't find anywhere else. I already wrote a review on Google but I'm writing another here since I truly have never had such a negative and unwelcoming experience like here before. The lady who served our food explained that we couldn't eat outside food in her store. We understood and put the food the food away right then. But she continued to rudely said "If I didn't make the food, I don't want it on my table either" and when she came back with the coffee, she made it obvious to look around the table. Your coffee is average but what left a bad taste is your customer service. We were a group of nurses who finished our 12 hour shift and just wanted to get some coffee, but you had to ruin the only time we had to relax and catch up. read more

This place is on another level of amazing. Everybody who works here is so kind, service is great. But the real kicker is the food. Every sandwich here is amazing. The Porto and the Pier are my personal favorites. Been here 5 times now and every time it was consistently great. The bread is insane try it!!! read more

Finally made my way to this cute establishment around the corner from where I live. Ordered the El Porto sandwich on focaccia bread and bagel with cream cheese. My sandwich was one of the freshest sandwiches I ever had! And their breads are freshly baked! So delicious. They also offer a selection of beverages (coffee, tea), freshly baked bread and catering (for Thanksgiving)! I'll be coming here often! read more

Ummm.... My fiancé and I are obsessed with Southwest Bread and their Sourdough Stuffed Rolls. We don't even live in El segundo but happened to be visiting the town and stopped by a couple months ago randomly. So happy to find them cuz since then we have obsessively come back into town at least 2-3x a week to get those rolls!!! I would like to start this review off by saying it's Father's Day and my husband lovesssssss the honey biscuits and I truly wanted to enjoy having the honey biscuits this morning for my family for church. I called a few days prior and spoke to a woman on the phone. She took my name number and order. This was for a pickup at 8am... it's Father's Day getting kids ready takes a toll so my apologies for not being as punctual as I should but that's why I called ahead to reserve my biscuits just in case something comes up.... I called at 9 am just knowing that my order would still be there.... SMH Now the new employee that answered the phone was clearly uncertain of the rules and the owner was giving her directions in the background instead of speaking to the customer directly which made me feel disregarded and dismissed as if my business wasn't worthy of accurate information or good service. The girl seemed confused and flustered and the energy shifted and she began to have a tone... as if I'm wrong to ask questions about their services and how things work... But again I was late and just trying to get a better idea of why my biscuits were sold when they're open until 3pm... from Thursday- Sunday Now this is my 3rd Attempt at these biscuits in 2weeks alone. 1st time I called at 8am and spoke to a woman and reserved 3 biscuits to pick up in the same day! They called me back with a man on the phone 14mins later letting me know my biscuits were actually sold and they gave me the wrong info. 2nd attempt I called days prior and the owner said we don't do days prior orders over the phone only same day orders on the phone... then this 3rd attempt where I called ,they honored me calling and placing an order over the phone only for it to be sold and the owner telling me we don't call to notify you we're selling your reserved food we sell it if you aren't on time. With no buffer then only to say we wait an hour... but no notification it's just very interesting how inconsistent and very rude this owner is. I've referred so many people here because clearly I enjoy the food... it's just very disappointing... a co worker of mine had a bad experience a few months back with feeling dismissed and not really tended too and I continued to eat there but yea I'm good now... I'm not mad or anything I just know when God tells me not to go places I'm not wanted and not to give buisness to places I'm not celebrated! And that's for my people of Color no knock on the food tho I know they will still get amazing business I just wanted to express myself and my experience.... I didn't feel heard or cared about and that made me feel icky and I decided to stand up for myself but me and my tribe won't be back read more
