My husband hurt his eye Thursday Feb 19th, the white is red. Tried to get an appointment the same day. No luck. We were told to call back tomorrow maybe they could squeeze us in. No luck again. I guess NOBODY cares enough to see him and stay 15 minutes late. He is having mild pain. We have an appointment with Dr Sidu on Wednesday the 25th. I guess its time to consider another office that cares about the quality of care. read more

The doctor was very helpful in correcting a wrong prescription from years past, however the wait was absolutely unacceptable. I waited an hour before even seeing the doctor. I checked in online before the visit and still had to check in at the kiosk. The waiting rooms were full of people who have been waiting far longer than me. I understand that sometimes you fall behind schedule but this was way more than falling behind schedule. A woman in the waiting room who arrived before me asked what was taking so long, no accountability was taken in the curt response. I was late to work and the other woman had to reschedule her next doctor's appointment. You simply do not have to schedule several appointments in a short time frame, knowing full well you cannot fulfill them. Squeezing several appointments in a short time frame is a clear disregard to the fact that we all have schedules to maintain. Also, considering most patients are elderly makes it even more icky because some aren't able to stand up for themselves. read more

IF we could give you 10 STARS, WE WOULD!... The care, concern, and attention to detail of DR. CODY FRANK last week, along with HIS STAFF, were impeccable.... After final conclusive testing at his office, he highly recommended we head to St. Joseph's ER...he assured us we would NOT have to WAIT (with his paperwork/test results in hand). He was spot on. I could write volumes of what COULD have been and what WAS due to DR. FRANK's due diligence and expertise, ALONG WITH DR. WANG and HIS team at ST. JOSEPH's. ALL AMAZING! Would give zero stars if possible... Took my 86 year-old father to Southwestern Eye Center this afternoon he had a 1 PM doctor appointment. The appointment has been scheduled for at least a month. Upon arriving we were informed they had called earlier to cancel his appointment and yet called the wrong number. By the way I take FMLA leave from my job to transport him to appointments we have now wasted the entire afternoon we will not be back I highly recommend going elsewhere. Our appointment was with Dr. Cody Frank And was told he did not show up today. The office staff seemed not to care and the gal would only repeat that she was not the one who scheduled the appointment in the first place. Again, there was no resolution and we left without getting him his much-needed eye appointment. Customer service is not only lacking so is the care and concern for diabetic patients who are in dire need of appointments and who waited a month to get their appointment only to be told it was canceled when we showed up. read more

I recently saw Dr. Cody Frank for an appointment with my dry eyes and to have a lacrimal plug replaced in one eye. He referred me to some other practice for the dry eyes, however, he did replaced the plug. The cost was $640! THE NEXT day the plug fell out! and he was not able to get me back in for about a week. I went back and he reinserted another plug - and I received a bill for $700 for this visit!!. I called the office right away - was told someone would get back to me. No call back. I called again, and was basically dismissed as 'that is how it is'. The charge for this eye exam and simple procedure was 3x the price of anyone else. Shame on you. Won't be back and will definitely tell others to beware. 08/30/22 This is an update to my review above. Veronica from the main office of SW Eye Center contacted me and after review with Dr. Frank, they agree that I should not have been billed for the second visit. I therefore changed my rating; however, if you are paying out of pocket or other than a standard copay, I recommend you get a cost of your visit and the services that will be rendered. read more

Experienced and obviously warmly practiced, caring and capable, Dr. Cody Frank certainly knows what he is doing and does it professionally and efficiently. We were also extremely impressed by the rest of his staff, and Shirley is the most capable and efficient person I have ever met in her capacity. Clearly and obviously capable, with wonderful interpersonal communication all while still zipping through each of the many procedures. She took very good care of my wife. My decades of experience with eye care specialists is lengthy and vast, unfortunately. Shirley is the best! This office is home to a complete and smooth running crew, from the receptionist out front to Dr. Frank's assistant to Patricia setting our next appointment. We have made our choice for our eye care, and that is Southwestern Eye Center. Way to go, Dr. Frank! read more

They get 1 star because it's a new office, clean and nice in a professional medical plaza. Dr Charles Schaffer is very rude and abrupt. His attitude is far from professional. He asked me several questions and before I could even finish my sentence, he yelled in my face " NO NO NO NO NO! AGAIN I SAY NO!" He needs anger management or sensitivity training or something. He feels the need to correct his patients and staff as if he were scolding little children. The staff at the desk were chatting on the phones while elderly people waited to check in. The clinical staff member Shirley struggled with the spellings of common drugs and allergens. She got very frustrated with the computer because of her own grasp of spelling and grammar , then tried to rush through us. My family will be bringing our business elsewhere. Not people who should be "caring" for your eye health. read more

I recently had a routine eye examination from Dr. Cody Frank at the Anthem office while visiting the Phoenix area. The receptionist was extremely pleasant and super helpful in assisting me with the necessary paperwork. The optical technicians were very friendly and attentive. Dr. Frank was super cordial and put me at ease right away. He was extremely friendly and super knowledgeable. My visionary needs are a bit more extensive and I struggle with getting the right contacts so that I can see properly. Dr. Frank was up to the challenge and assured me that he would work with me to get the proper fit and prescription. He immediately ordered trial lenses and said we would keep trying until we got it correct. Best optometrist I have seen in a long time. I would strongly recommend Dr. Frank and his team at Southwestern Eye Center. read more
