This is an authentic Cuban restaurant. The available food is delicious and the location is nice with only outdoor seating available. They are quick and served me with a smile. Omggggg what a sandwich! I had the pleasure of running across Soy Cubano at yesterday's 12th South Farmer's Market. I walked around for a loop to really see what the farmer's market had to offer. Yes, it's a Cuban sandwich, but it's a really good Cuban sandwich. Roast pork, ham, Swiss, pickles, and mustard all carefully layered between bread that has been toasted to perfection. Also heats up really well if you manage to save half the sandwich for leftovers the next day. Only thing is that the pork, although a generous portion, was a little dry for my taste. read more

I'd seen a couple friends mention this place on Facebook and decided to give it a try. I ordered online and picked up curbside. The guy that brought my food out was super friendly and seemed to take pride in the food and business which usually confirms the food is yum! I had the Cuban with rice & beans, sweet plantains, & elote. Everything was deliciously flavorful except the rice & beans, which were still good but my least favorite item of all the food I had. We know Cuban food well, having lived for so long in South Florida, and this was good Cuban. Friendly, conscientious service from someone who seemed to be either the owner or manager and chef...,who delivered our food to us in a nearby bar because it was cold outside. (This is one of four restaurants in a popup-kinda place in an old car wash in a hipster part of town....very unstructured with shared exterior tables for dining.) Some hot sauce would have helped the beans and rice, but the yucca was garlicky and flavorful and perfect. We both had varieties of chicken and next time would try the pork, which smelled amazing. Incidentally, the cocktails we had at the bar, named Bay 6, were creative and delicious, served up by an owner-bartender named Bo/Beaux who was friendly and a talented mixologist. read more

As Cubans from Miami, we always want our cafecito and look for a place to visit for coffee when traveling. Boy am I HAPPY we found Soy Cubano! Everything about this spot is great. The food, the staff, the service, all incredible. Probably some of the best coffee and Cuban food I have had in years! Did not disappoint. We had the breakfast sandwiches, tostadas and guava and cheese pastries. They were all fresh, well made and tasty. Born & raised in South Florida- I have missed Cuban food. Real Cuban food. The cuban I ordered (take out) nonetheless is by far the best cuban I have ever found outside of my hometown of Sarasota. The bread is cuban bread (which is actually hard to find if you order one out). It's sweet, pressed, and flaky. I'm honestly in shock at how good it is, even take out! Do not pass this restaurant up. Cuban food in Nashville! Woooo hoooooooo Frijoles yuca and platanos... oh my I'm very happy my wife found this place on Postmates. We were searching and searching for something new to try, and were starving. Soy Cubano.... It's not tofu, they have meat! We tried the Noche Buena bowl. I was told by the owner (a very nice friendly guy, that brough our food right out to my car) that this was a typical meal for Xmas. If it's good enough for Xmas... why not for a Saturday afternoon lunch? I got a little info on the place. He said they serve diner during the week, and lunch on Saturday... so it worked out perfectly for us. He cooks out of Citizen Kitchen. Ok, the food. Good stuff! The dish included black beans ( I think that is how you can tell if a place is any good or authentic. If the beans have flavor and not just a side waste of space the rest of the food is probably good), boiled garlic yuca, platanos fritos, and roast pork. Everything was flavorful and moist, platanos crispy and sweet. We added salt cause we like food extra flavorful. The meat was clean and not fatty, a big plus. I've only had the Cuban sandwich with a side of plantains, yuca and a Materva Yerba soda. It took several minutes because it was MADE for me not sitting around to be handed out. Best Cuban sandwich I've ever had outside of south Florida. Loads of mojo pulled pork and perfect balance of ham, cheese, pickles, mayo and mustard on crusty pressed Cuban bread. Went with a friend to Soy Cubano last week. 5 stars all the way. Prices are very reasonable, service is excellent, and the food is delicious and abundant. My buddy and I ordered a Cuban sandwich, it was huge, loaded, hot a delicious. I also ordered the plantains, again, delicious. It is outdoor seating but that was fine, we found a table quickly and the food was brought out to us within 10 minutes. I highly recommend Soy Cubano for a gastronomic treat. read more

Absolutely phenomenal. I lived in Miami for 3 years and was really missing some Cuban food, and more specifically cafe con leche and croquetas. Found this place and it is truly like I was transported back to Miami. The food is amazing. I ordered cafe con leche (sub oat milk), pan con lechon, and ham croquetas and they were all equally my favorites. This will definitely end up becoming a regular place to dine out for me. I did get the guava & cheese pastelito but I haven't had a chance to try it yet.. but just on looks, it will also be perfection. You can tell the authenticity of the food, which is such a treat to get all the way up here in Nashville. This place is yummy! It's in a stall at "The Wash"- a walk up food hall in east Nashville. There is outdoor seating to eat or it can easily be taken to go. Be mindful that there is very little parking available though. The sandwiches were so rich and yummy! The rice and beans were the perfect side item. OMYGOSHHH!!!!!!! I am from Florida and I haven't found any Cuban, Puerto Rican or Dominican restaurants here just a lot of Mexican restaurants!! I gave this a shot and MAA'M, SIR umm WOW!!! DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! You guys make the yuca just how I like them! It was perfect and the platano maduros and the rice and the beans. I saw a review from a lady that said the beans were acidic!???
