I have a very large dramatic Alaskan Malamute who loves swimming but hates baths. However, with the season change, she needed to be groomed badly!!! I was nervous how she would be but Spa Le Paw took such great care of her and did an amazing job! They spent over 3 hours on her and were able to remove around 5 lbs of fluff that needed to be removed. No shaving. No terminator. Just good ol fashioned brushing and blow drying. They trimmed the hair around her butt and cut her nails. She came out looking like a different dog and wasn't stressed at all! I have definitely found our groomer! read more

I should have checked the reviews before I took my buddies to theses people. I brought in my two dogs and when I picked them up, they were both extremely stressed out. Once I got them home and they didn't smell any better than they did when I dropped them off. The smell of the shop certainly masks their failed efforts at dog grooming. Upon further inspection I found their ears had not been cleaned. One dog still had dirt under his arm pits and his ears smelled very stale and were by no means cleaned. If you have ever owned a Basset hound, you know what I mean; you know if their ears have been cleaned or not. I called and spoke to the owner and expressed my disappointment in the services. She asked me to bring them back so she could at least see what I was talking about. I couldn't get the basset in the car he was so stressed out and refused to get in; again if you own a basset you know what I mean. I took the other dog up and when we got to the door she put the breaks on and tail between her legs; that told me everything I needed to know. We got in and the owner approached my dog with another technician hovering and touching her, she quickly retreated behind me. Again, my dog didn't need to say any more, I understood right then. Afterwards the owner assured me they were bathed and then remarked about using nail clippers on my Basset after I specifically instructed them at drop off not to use them at all on him. My instructions were clearly disregarded and my dogs were still filthy and I was out $175. Brushed and nails clipped $155 + tip The only option she would give me was to bring my dogs back to the Stress Spa for another round of who knows what at this point. Why would they have to be bathed again if you already did it? My buddies and I'll not ever go back and I will disregard my own stress, hectic day to day life and bath my dogs myself. Avoid them all his place. Their specialty is stress and dirty dogs. read more
