I FINALLY found my nail salon, in DC, after 2 years! Mandy is AMAZING!! Honestly, everyone at Spa Logic is welcoming and efficient (but Mandy's my gal, so I need to give her a shout out). I love going to Spa Logic and am now looking into using them for other services such as micro blading, for my brows. I STRONGLY recommend checking them out! They are different than most salons in DC - you will need to make an appointment. This team of people have a lot of regulars so it's important you respect their schedules and call ahead. read more

I went for a facial, mani/pedi and massage. The technicians are very nice and ok with services but the salon itself did not make me feel safe because of the poorly enforced covid measures and the roach infestation. Would recommend bringing a bottle of Raid with you if you decide to venture there. First, they did not enforce covid-related measures and let people come in for services without a mask. I had to raise the issue for them to do something about it when a woman set three feet away from me for a manicure and talked on and on while maskless. Second, they have a serious roach problem. I requested the VIP room with a friend and paid extra for the room, as expected. I look up and see roaches crawling just a foot away from my head and on some shelves. I was horrified and the technician looked completely unfazed, like it was just the norm. I rushed out with my pedicure halfway done and finished it outside in the general area, trying to put some distance between me and the critters, but the salon did not refund me the cost of the VIP room despite the infestation. When I got home, I put my purse in a plastic bag and left it outside for over a week because I was so terrified of carrying anything back from the salon home with me. You can pay for services by credit card but tips are cash. They say cash tip is recommended but it's basically it's the only option. You can't add a tip to the credit card payment. I have been going to Spalogic/Dupont Nails and Spa for two years now. During the height of the pandemic I wanted some normalcy and I found this salon and my favorite nail tech ever, Tina T. She has hooked me up with the best shape, designs and pedicure I've ever had. My nails last sometimes for a month before I need a refill, although I come back more regularly than that. I've had a few services at Spa Logic in the past but this 5 star rating is for the most amazing foot massage/reflexology experience I have ever had. To start, I am a huge fan of foot massages and have been a little spoiled by trips Southeast Asia where amazing massages are considered more of a basic service than a special treat. I got a Groupon for two 50 minute sessions at Spa Logic to try out their reflexology services and couldn't have been more thrilled with the result. Foot massages are offered in a group room that can seat up to three people, but is dark and zen enough for you to feel like it's a private room for just you. The seats are large comfy recliners that open in the middle so your feet can soak in a tub filled with stones. This was the first special touch of many. While my feet were soaking my technician, Helen, started the massage with some aromatherapy and a facial steam before massaging my head and face. She then moved to a neck massage, followed by each arm and hand. At each stage she made sure to check in with me on pressure and temperature. After the upper body was thoroughly worked on my feet were dried off and given a wonderful massage. I have had foot massages before where only the foot and lower leg is worked on which leaves your body feeling fairly unbalanced. The full appendage focus at Spa Logic is the ideal that I've been trying to find and now that I have I can't stop singing it's praises! read more

The customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE. Shall we get started? My appointment was at 3PM, I got there at 2:55. The lady that cut my hair, her appointment before me got there late, so they asked me to wait 30 mins so she can cut the persons hair that got there late. Absolutely ridiculous, I said no. Now as I sat down, she's telling me that I need to pay an EXTRA $20 because my hair is long. If that's a policy, then why are they omitting to mention it to new customers? Oh, it gets worse. They charged me $6 for some COVID "thing". I know businesses are struggling due to COVID and I wouldn't have mind paying the money... had they told me about it upfront. WAITTT, there's more. She rushed through my appt and they're some parts of my hair that's longer than the others. Never ever am I going back here. They're bunch of frauds. So I drove all the way from Virginia (in the snow) to D.C. for their Groupon deal and let me just say, IT WAS WORTH IT!!! I got the half-day spa package, (message, facial, Mani, pedi) and I enjoyed every service. If you get a message, ask for Sarah (you'll thank me later). Sady did my facial, and minus the pain from the extraction, it was awesome. Amanda took care of my mani and pedi, no complaints. But when I return I'll ask for Vivian...I hear good things about her. My husband and I used a Groupon for a foot massage. First thing, one masseuse wasted our time giving is a mini-tour it the facility. Ummm...not interested, but for some reason, she thought that was important. Maybe she thought it would increase her tip. It didn't, although, disappointingly, that tour was the better part of our experience So, the massage. Let's start with the fact that it was clear the two masseuses, one for me and the other for my husband, didn't much care for each other. So, that was already throwing things off. Then, my masseuse puts my feet in a lukewarm water and calls herself giving me a shoulder massage. I don't know if she had arthritis or was just trying to conserve her energy, but she barely gripped my shoulders and the little she did amounted to about 4-5 quick rubs or pats. I started to ask her if she was congratulating me for something. Probably so- for being a sucker and buying a Groupon for that shoddy service. Anyway, it was very awkward. She took my feet out of the water and began her joke of a foot massage. So, she had me recline and, with arthritis or energy conservation in mind, gave me the weakest massage of my life. But, she was so proud of herself. I'd never use a Groupon here again. I think they didn't give their best masseuse. In fact, I wonder if they were just trying to give them more masseuse hours at clients' expected. In any case, I was not happy. I will give two stars for effort and friendliness. I was very disappointed in my service. I had been looking forward to trying this place out after a girlfriend had raved about a facial from spalogic. I scheduled a full set gel, gel pedicure, and Brazilian wax as an appointment. My appointment started at 1230 I didn't leave until 445. The guy that did my nails was ok...just okay... he took FOREVER to do my nails causing me to be late to my other appointment. He put too much glue on top of my nail when he was shaping them it looked lopsided and I showed another man in the basement who ended up giving me $20 off because how saw how bad it was, there was nothing he could say. I asked the nail tech could remove the glue under my nails as that causes them to break when you dont remove them sometimes and he didn't have the tool to do so. He didn't have a small drill to clean up under my nail ...how do you not have that. I've been getting full sets for almost 10 years how do you not know what I'm talking about . My pedicure was okay. I told her not to cut down my toe nails to low. She didn't listen but at that point I was over it. The photo I attached is 4 days old. This is also the same nail that I complain about with the glue...it ended up breaking like I said it would. Moving on the wax- she did not know what she was doing. I feel like it was just someone who was available to "try" waxed my vagina. It was incredible painful. She burned me with the wax twice. I had two burn rashes on my vagina and I was leaving for Jamaica the next day. She put a glob of wax bigger than the size of my palm on my entire left side and then would try to pull the wax off before it was fully ready causing multiple pulls at once. I've been getting waxed for the past 7 years....it's not supposed to hurt like that. I also wax myself from time to time you are NOT supposed to wax an entire side like that without trying small sections 1st. I will never go back here. The prices do not match the service. You should have a licensed person performing Brazilian waxes not someone who is just available. Be ware ladies. read more

I was fortunate enough to sit next to MyLy at a model casting for DC Fashion Week a few months back. We struck up conversation, and it turns out that she had cut my hair once before at a different salon in VA years ago. She told me that she had moved to a new salon and to schedule an appointment with her if I ever had a chance to test the waters. From that moment on, the life of my hair changed forever (and for the better)! As an Asian male fashion designer, it has been extremely hard for me to find a stylist in the DMV area that is able to cut my hair properly, but also, give me a hairstyle that's edgy, modern, and unique. Providers were professional. The establishment was clean. The price was a bit high for things but I suspect they are in line with local prices. You should know that tips need to be in cash only. I'm a student at Georgetown University, and I was constantly hearing the difficulties of finding a decent and affordable haircut in the District. Often time, I just told to go to either a Hair Cuttery or to find a salon in Virginia. Having had bad experiences with chain hair salons, I knew I wanted my first haircut in years to be at a well-rated, higher-end salon. I am glad I found Spa Logic. I booked an appointment on a busy Saturday for that afternoon, 12:30pm, with Miley, who was recommended for Asian hair. I arrived slightly before 12:30pm, and Zhen, who was waiting at the cashier, asked me whether or not I minded taking her instead of Miley, who was busy with another customer. As soon as I agreed, Zhen sat me down and asked me what type of cut I wanted. I had Asian, medium-length, straight, thick hair and knew I wanted a boy cut. Zhen, who has been cutting hair in DC for almost a decade, presented me several large lookbooks and helped me choose a hairstyle, completely understanding what I wanted--a softer boy cut with a rat's tail. As soon as we decided, Marifel, a genial shampoo-ist, led me towards the back of the salon and gave me a luxurious hair wash experience and hair washing advice (that I had asked from her). Then, the lovely Zhen began cutting my hair while we chatted. It was perhaps a 30-40 min cut, but it certainly did not even feel that long! I was--and am super happy with the results that her expertise yielded, and so were the other stylists at the salon! The cashier snapped a couple of "after" pics, lamenting that she had forgotten to take a "before" picture, but I offered to e-mail one to Zhen. I was so happy with my haircut that I swallowed my vanity and sent her one of my most miserable pictures with my original hair just to make my current cut look even more amazing. To this day, compliments on my hair abound. Also, they offered drinks a couple time throughout the process and didn't even push products to sell, which I hear is a common experience at hair salons. Since it was my first cut, I paid ~$50, but it was worth every dollar. Plus, my male friends regularly pay even more than that for stylists to cut off just a couple cm of hair! I have been to SpaLogic twice. I was underwhelmed visit 1 so I figured I'd give the place another shot. My overall impression and experience was the same. I would describe SpaLogic as a strip mall type nail salon just near Dupont Circle. The facilities are decent, nothing extravagant. I did use a groupon both visits. I will warn you that I would never pay rack prices for their spa or nail services. Beware if you do a groupon they will try to upsell you on other services. Dont do it... I did. Speaking of which... they charged me $20 for more for a Shellac manicure... I was very specific about my request for Shellac... what I got was an opi gel base and top coat with Shellac polish sandwiched between which will take far longer for me to soak off... at anyrate. I had less than stellar experiences with both massage therapists. Neither time was particularly relaxing... the 1st time I was stretched like a pretzle which was a service I didnt sign up for the 2nd lady wouldn't shut up... talked the whole time and kept asking me to do breathing exercises and to reposition myself... and kept asking me for feedback on the massage etc etc. Not relaxing. Unless the spa is the only area within walking distance from your home... skip this place. Perhaps for many of the reviewers this is their 1st spa experience hence to great reviews? I've had many massages in my time... and to sum up this review the services are over priced and lack value staff is less than stellar. Not impressed. read more

What was the problem? This is not a doctor's office. There are no emergency hangnails. The young man at the desk was evasive, unhelpful. Having just moved to DC, I decided "new city, new hair." For more than I decade, I desired the long, lustrous locks of Kim Kardashian, Carrie Underwood, and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Problem is, I have a lot of hair, but it's thin, lacks any discernible volume, and is kinky, in the bad way, so my long locks were forever locked away in a bun, French twist, or braid. Something had to change. And the REAL rockstar named MyLy was just the pair of God-like hands to assist. I came in with long, frizzy, brassy hair that looked a bit like it had been ridden hard and put out to dry. I showed her my Sassy Tina Fey pic, and we discussed the glaze she would use to Un-brass it, she handed me some delicious wine (!), and away we went! Some one hour or so later, after a wonderful shampoo, I watched in amazement as she perfectly cut away the bedraggled lengths and revealed a prettier, chicer and maybe somehow thinner looking version of myself. She is an ARTIST. She listened well, and made me feel prettier than I have in, well, years. All of the staff are wonderful, the place is clean and nicely decorated, but most importantly, their staff has a ton of talent. MyLy, you are a goddess! Thank you for making me feel so beautiful! I have a short asymmetrical hair cut and it looks like I go to a celebrity stylist, she styled it after and in minutes and I learned a lot about how to effortlessly polish my look. I posted pictures to back it up. My hair wash was luxurious, inclusive of a head massage and then I was offered tea, coffee, water or wine! Vivian is the only person I will ever go to for my nails!! She is beyond incredible. I usually get a spa pedicure and a dip manicure - no one does a dip manicure better than her! I have gotten my nails done in various places in the DMV, as well as in California and she is without a doubt the best. She makes the dip look so thin and natural on your nails, and it lasts one month every time! Also, she refrains from using any UV light or filing down your nails so my nails have gotten thicker and longer because of her. She's also incredibly kind and always accommodating to your schedule. For my birthday I was gifted a Groupon that included a spa package for a massage facial and manicure/pedicure. I wasn't sure what to expect when I first arrived at Spa Logic but I must say first impressions were very good. I was taken upstairs and asked to fill out this paperwork regarding my massage preference as well as Covid questions. I was taken into my massage Room in from there forward everything was amazing. My massage and facial was done by Fatiha. She was so sweet and pleasant throughout my entire visit I am definitely going to return and request for her services again. I do like that when you enter you are given slippers and a robe to walk throughout the spa when you are receiving your services. After my facial and massage You do change into your clothes and I was taken downstairs to the basement level to receive my pedicure Angela did my pedicure and I must say again she was phenomenal as well. Great job spa logic you have just earned another loyal customer! I am not sure if this place has an elevator or not but for the elderly or someone with mobility concerns please know this spa has four floors so depending on your service you may have to walk up or down some stairs. read more

I bought the groupon for the massage, facial and mani/pedi combo and had an overall so-so experience. Massage: 5/5 The massage was great! The woman was very friendly and made sure to ask if I wanted more or less pressure. I also enjoyed that it was a head to toe massage that included my scalp and feet. Facial: 2/5 I was not satisfied with my facial at all. To be fair, I am an esthetician so I have high expectations but my esthetician did a 30 second "skin consultation" under her mag lamp and then started working. The only question she asked me about my skin was if I'd had a facial before. She was rougher than I would've liked and did not tell me what she was using at any point. I still have no idea what products she used on me. Also, during my mask, she left the room for 15 minutes. Typically when I do facials (or when I've had them done by other estheticians), during the mask, a neck & shoulder massage or hand & arm massage is accompanied to past the time. I've never experienced someone just leaving the room. The entire facial was just very underwhelming tbh. Mani/pedi: 3/5 My nails turned out OK. The experience was decent but nothing to write home about. I'll probably stick with mimosa salon for my future nail services.
