I told her I wanted to grow them out and fade the harsh edges, and she recommended combination of highlights and low lights. I know nothing about hair, so it was a relief to have a stylist listen and suggest techniques. My hair looks so much better and very natural! The cut was great as well. I just wanted a trim, so she cleaned up the ends and added some subtle layering. She kept me updated on what she was doing, and it's clear she knows her stuff. I will definitely be a repeat customer! Zhen is my hairdresser and she's awesome! I've been seeing her for many years. I'm so deeply impressed with her level of professionalism and commitment to incredible work ethic. She's easy-going to talk to and very attentive to how I'd like my hair colored and cut. My hair is wavy and thick so she gives me hair cuts that is manageable for everyday. She does a great job every time. She's always introducing me to new hair products to help me protect my color and styling for work or a night out. My husband and children gets hair cuts with her too so it's a family friendly salon. MyLy tattooed my eyebrows and eyelids a year ago and they still look great. I wake up in the morning, wash my face and look refresh. I can skip two step when I do my makeup now. Yay! I recently had my first foot Reflexology massage and it was wonderful. I will definitely go back for a full body massage. The massage floor is quite and has a tranquil décor so it makes relaxation even easier. Had a great massage w Sara and would definitely recommend if you're good w an intense deep tissue massage. Girl works! She worked very hard and mixed w some stretching which helped my very stiff neck and back. I had a gilt city and she certainly did not skimp bc of it. I am considering coming back for another despite the rather steep price (or id be getting them once a week!). This was only my second facial and Sedi was very kind and patient. She also had great suggestions for helping my pores and didn't laugh when I cried like a baby during extractions lol. I called back later and the day and heard, "may I put you on hold?" I declined. I called again and asked to speak to the salon manager. I heard, "may I put you on hold? I declined. It appears that Spa Logic does not want business or to treat its customers well. I had looked forward to a good relationship with Sadi. I had a great experience today at Spa Logic. My nail tech was Mike and he was very nice and professional. The spa was clean and calming. The tools they used were sanitized and sealed before use. They have a great selection of nail color and I found their prices to be very reasonable for what you get. read more

I found Spa Logic through a groupon deal and was so impressed by the service and ambiance- it is definitely the best value I've seen for massages in the area....and I've tried a lot of places! A lot of people talk about how good Sarah is...trust me she is really good and has kept me coming back, but tonight they booked me for a Swedish massage with Donna. Listen y'all, Donna is AMAZING!...I get massages often and I can honestly say, she is the best I've ever been to--at least for the Swedish massage (I'll keep this review apples to apples). Hubby was mad stressed so I treated him to the works: massage, facial, mani and pedi. And because I'm such a good wife I got the same treatment. :) He was in love with his massage, which is saying something for his bougie self. His whole mindset and attitude was completely different after his treatments. Only thing I"m mad about is having to pay an additional $70 because we were late, and the staff's attitude about it. I knew I was late and definitely called to let the staff know. Upon entering the establishment and telling them my name, I was immediately told "you are late, this will affect your treatment times..." ma'am, I am well aware of my tardiness...which is why I had the courtesy to call. My husband had to park so we entered separately, and he told me later on that he was greeted with the same attitude. Yall don't know what happened to cause someone to be late...there are always random Nats games during the summer, there could have been a vehicle accident, or other emergency, etc etc. Once we were getting our services done the staff was much more nice. My review is for Sara, the massage therapist. Sara originally gave me a free shoulder massage while I was getting my nails done at Dupont Nails & Spa. She did a fantastic job so I decided to try a 50 min deep tissue with her. Sara does a mix of western deep tissue, thai type techniques, and something like a chiropractic technique (popping). It works very well and shes very thorough. I am a thai massage fan and I generally am picky about massage and id def get another massage with her. She doesnt play she does a great job. Get the hot stone upgrade, do 80 min if you want alot of stretching! read more

I usually don't write reviews, but I was so pleased with Myly that I decided to write one. At least in my case, it is extremely difficult to find a good hair stylist as I have long thin hair that breaks easily. Never in my life has anyone been able to style my hair the way Myly has- she did not just trim it, she actually STYLED it! I no longer have to use blow dryers and straighteners that used to cause my hair so much damage, she really made my hair work for me. I have been going to her now for 2 years, and have never been disappointed. She has also done a great job with coloring and highlights. Spa Logis in general is a really pleasant salon, and it's nice that they offer so many services - it makes it easier to get my hair and nails done all at the same place, and all over a glass of wine :) read more

I went to Spa Logic on Friday for a hair cut and a balayage. My stylist was Tracy D and she is AMAZING! She listened to what I wanted, provided suggestions as to how she thought my hair would look best, cut my hair perfectly, and even eased my concerns about the coloring process (I was a little nervous because I hadn't put color in my hair in years). The color and cut are both phenomenal. We chatted the whole time. It was great. I gave the four star rating for a pedicure I had a few weeks ago. I paid for the spa pedicure and I don't think I would do that again because it seemed like the only difference is that stuff they dip your feet in...blanking on what that's called... The man who did my pedicure did a fine job, but I did leave with some rough patches still on my feet. I have to be totally honest and say I have had better. But everyone is really nice, which is really important. Overall a good option for nails. read more

I purchased a Groupon for a Keratin treatment here and am so happy I did! While I can't remember my stylists name, she did a phenomenal job. This was my third time getting Keratin done (my first time at this salon) and she was so meticulous and detail oriented - my hair has never looked better. It's drying straighter then ever and it's definitely from her hard work and attention to detail. On top of all this, the salon was very nice and clean. They had fruit out and offered a variety of beverages to make sure your salon experience was relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this salon! read more

Visiting DC and I Just got done having a deep tissue massage with Fatiha and she did a great job! I literally could fall asleep during the whole thing, the pressure was just perfect and the environment was so serene. I purchased the "spa package" from Groupon, which included a 50 minute massage, 50 minute European facial, and Classic mani-pedi. First off, the value that they advertise on Groupon seems to be off compared to their actual prices. On Groupon, they advertise the massage as being "$165" in value, when on their website its actually $112 max. They advertise the mani-pedi as being "$65" in value when their website says it's $41. They also say the European facial is $100 in value, and it's not on their website, but I wouldn't be surprised if the actual value was less as well. It seems like they're inflating the value of the Groupon to make it seem like you're getting a better deal than you actually are. Onto the actual services: The massage was the worst massage I have ever gotten. I think my masseuse was either new, poorly trained, or both because she had no idea what she was doing. The whole massage was just a random mix of rubbing and firm patting - there was absolutely no technique or methodology to it. She would start working on one section of my body, then after 3 seconds switch to another section, then go back to the first section. She didn't use enough oil so it felt like she was tugging at my skin at times. Her nails were also a bit long so I felt light scratches at times, and the "head massage" basically felt like she was scratching my head. The whole time I could not wait for it to end. The facial was ok. The woman was good at explaining everything to me and I enjoyed the facial massage, but the extractions were a joke. It lasted all of 10 seconds and when I went home and looked at my face, I could still see a bunch of blackheads on my nose. The mani-pedi was fine. They have a great color selection but they could have been much more thorough with the callous removal. read more

I booked the spa package for 2 that includes massage, facial and mani/pedi on Groupon. Heads up take Lyft/Uber or a cab here. It's all street parking and almost impossible to get a meter. Massage 5/5 The masseuse was very polite and professional. The massage experience was amazing. Very calming and relaxing. Facial 3/5 I wasn't impressed. She just put a bunch of products on my face and left me oily the rest of the day until I could wash my face. This review is being written 4 days after the facial and my skin doesn't feel or look any different. Mani/pedi 3/5 My only issue with the mani/pedi is the lack of color assortment that was included in the Groupon package. They up charge for certain colors. I guess coming from California/Las Vegas we are used to having a big wall of colors to choose from. I requested to upgrade to gel for an extra $20 and just get a regular color for my pedi but they don't have matching colors. So my gel nails shade look way different then my pedi shade. At the end of the spa I went to the register to pay the gel mani charge and I was asked for my feedback. I brought up the feedback about the lack of color choices that didn't require an up charge and the lady assisting me was challenging me and saying yes there's a lot of colors to choose from. Don't ask for my feedback if you don't really care and just tell me otherwise. My cousin had a worse experience during her manicure, just being sloppy. I guess as a courtesy my cousin and I were each discounted $10. And I kept my mouth shut about giving more feedback. I have been getting facials for years except for the last 2 (I was in Texas for 2 years and didn't find anyone I liked enough) and now that I am back in dc I was looking for someone to replace my old cosmetologist that no longer works. My boyfriend booked me a full spa day at Spa Logic for my birthday. I had a massage, facial, manicure and pedicure. Overall, I had a great experience. TL,DR: I would recommend Spa Logic to a friend looking for high-quality spa services for reasonable prices, with a caveat that the environment is a little more busy than the typical spa that focuses on calm and relaxation. FACIAL: Kathy did an excellent job with the facial. I felt pampered and relaxed, and although she was mostly quiet, if I asked a question she would provide a thorough explanation. The blackhead extractions were a little painful, but she was quick about it. No cons to this experience -- I loved it! MASSAGE: Sarah did an excellent job with the massage, although it wasn't what I was expecting. I booked a Swedish massage, and expected it to be calming and relaxing like I've experienced at other spas. Sarah's massage was closer to a deep tissue massage (again, based on my experience at other spas. I am not a professional). She quickly found two large knots around nerve endings in my glutes and shoulders and was working on them, which was quite painful (not her fault). I asked her to lessen the pressure and she explained that the pain was coming from the knots in my body, not her touch. She had me confirm that my body could not handle the necessary work to get the knots out that day, and encouraged me to come back another time for a deep tissue massage with hot stones (the stones, she explained, help relieve the pain). Her work from that point forward was much gentler because she avoided the knots. She moved my legs and arms around to stretch and massage different muscles, and at one point even climbed on the table to get better leverage. If you're looking for a massage to help you relax or that you can sleep during, Spa Logic is not the place to go. But if you want your body to be in better shape after you leave the spa, and a massage therapist who understands anatomy and can explain what's wrong and how to fix it, I recommend Sarah at Spa Logic. My only complaint about this service (beyond it being different from what I expected, which isn't necessarily a complaint), is that the massage table wasn't as high-quality as I've experienced at other places. In some cases I could feel the metal or wood of the table under the padding, and it creaked throughout the massage. NAILS: The manicure and pedicure were both excellent (I do not remember the technician's name, unfortunately). She was polite and didn't speak much, which I prefer because I don't like to chit-chat during a nail treatment. They had lots of color selections and the pedicure chairs were luxurious. My biggest con was that the place was crowded and it's a small room, so the environment wasn't relaxing. OVERALL: The staff at the front desk was professional and polite. I liked that the front desk handles all of the payments for the different services, including tipping. I didn't have to run around handing cash to everyone, and it made my overall experience more pleasant. My one star deduction is for the overall ambiance of the spa. All of the spaces in the building were busy, so despite the dim the lights and calming music, the throng of customers and staff rushing about kept me from feeling relaxed. The folks on the phone and at reception are polite and very helpful, but the real star of my visits has been Sarah. Her massages are absolutely amazing! On my first visit, two weeks ago, I had a 50-minute Swedish massage, with a hot stone add-on, which left me floating. Sarah worked deeper than I had ever experienced, but in a good way. She checked on how I was feeling throughout the treatment, and I really appreciated the extra attention to problem areas. We agreed that my stressed out body could use some additional attention, so I visited again today for an 80-minute Swedish - again, with the hot stone add-on. Now, I'm all in - appointments with Sarah are going to become a regular regimen. I'm hooked! read more

I go to Spa Logic for cut/color once a month with Mary. Mary is stupendous! I have been seeing her for 30+ years. My children now also get haircuts by Mary. Besides Mary being a beacon of light, I also like how I am treated by staff. I have a disability that requires I use a cane. All the employees are very caring and deferential to me. I haven't ever had a bad experience here. I recommend the salon for haircuts/color/and massages. I haven't tried any other service there, so I wouldn't want to comment. read more

I began coming to Spa Logic a few years ago, but it was my most recent visit that made me proud to be a customer. My best friend & I were looking to glam up after being quarantined for so many months, & I knew Spa Logic was the perfect place to do it!! I came across a Groupon package, & we immediately booked an appointment!! They booked us simultaneously, she went off for facial as I began my massage, and we ended up meeting at the same time downstairs for our manicure and pedicure. Kathy did my facial, SHE WAS AMAZING, I received facials there before, but she made me feel like she really cared about my skin. She gave me some sound advice, that I followed and can now see the difference. All the services I received were done extremely well & with care (cleanliness was also top-notch). My friend and I booked appointments the following day for our first-time lash extensions & got Kathy again!! She was great again and meticulous, looks like I was born with these luscious lashes, I receive so many amazing compliments!! One star is for be massessue. I used a Groupon for a 50min deep tissue massage. First, the masseuse didn't give me a 50minute massage. It was 40min. She actually counted the time that it took for her to get me from the first floor, fill out the intake form, and getting undressed before the massage. Then, she didn't even give me a deep tissue massage. It was a Swedish massage. Finally, she was sitting down on a chair half the time while giving me a massage. This was the worst experience I have ever had! First of all the top pic is what I asked the nail tech to do and the bottom pic is what she did (smh). The tech's name was "Lee" - (I think that's how you spell it). She was very rude, wouldn't listen when I express my concerns, and I was charged $75 of which $15 was for the Ombre dip polish that I didn't even want in the first place. During the whole two hour experience other techs sat and watched as I expressed my concerns but nobody did anything to help. One of them even said that doesn't look like the pic. I even explained to the receptionist exactly what I wanted done and she explained it to "Lee" and yet she still fucked up. At one point I even told her I don't want it to look like this and she said, "Just let me finish." Once she was done she forcefully put my hands on the table and took a pic for her records without my consent. When I was leaving she came and sat at the desk and listened as the receptionist asked me to give them feedback. It was so uncomfortable, thus here is my feedback. I wouldn't recommend having Lee do even a mannequin's nails. I got the polish and everything removed within 2 days due to the pain I felt in my cuticles from her polishing over them. I received a Deep Tissue Message today, first time ever! They are very professional and the message rooms are very comfortable with soothing music to help you relax even more.
