The salon is nicely set up and clean. But i would never visit again i walked in the salon and was completely ignored. A nail tech walked pass me looking me directly in my face so i said "excuse me who do i go to to get service" he cleared his throated looked the other way and continued to do what he was doing. The lady at the reception desk finally told me i can come over to her. When i got there she asked what services i needed i only need a chip gel polish repair she told me they didn't have anyone to do it. I told her i can wait she nomore room tonight. Sara for INTENSE DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE and REFLEXOLOGY. Sara has to be hardest-working deep-tissue massage therapist EVER (I've had plenty over the years). She immediately detects areas that need the most attention and she doesn't give up on a muscle until it's supple. I swim and run. Sara applies BIOFREEZE on tense leg and back muscles and uses HOT STONES for a intense and unique sports massage. She gives 100% for the full 110 minutes. I feel BRAND NEW after our sessions. I purchased a series of six 80-minute sessions with 30-minutes of reflexology. I find purchasing a series of six massages helps me maintain a weekly schedule where Sara can work on specific problem areas. read more

I had a great spa day at Spa Logic! I used their Groupon deal and added a couple services on which was a great half day of pampering. Special shout out to Helena who gave me my facial- she was so nice and fun to chat with. I upgraded to get a gel manicure which seems a bit pricey ($21 to upgrade) but they look wonderful. Booked a facial and massage for me and my boyfriend as a treat on a rare day off and couldn't have been happier. I had a swedish massage + hot stones, which was AMAZING and he had deep tissue which he says was equally great. Our facials were also excellent and we left feeling pampered. The treatments didn't feel rushed, and we felt we got everything we could ask for. Wow what a great surprise! We came to DC for my daughters 33rd Birthday and she wanted a Spa Day that included a Mani/Pedi on Her Day ....so after a lot of research I came across Spa Logic on Yelp! After reading several reviews that mentioned a package Spa Day for 2 on LivingSocial I went for it. So that's how we got here. Now let's talk....I called to set the appointment and spoke to Aaron he is very informative and patient. My daughter has special needs and he listened to and accommodated our needs. Once we got here everyone was so helpful and worked so well with my daughter it made me so happy to be able to give her this experience and for her to be comfortable. Sadie did our facials and she was amazing! She went above and beyond assisting with a Birthday Cake because with all the planning I forgot that little detail (can you say Mom fail) Sadie made our skin glow! The massages were great very relaxing and the Masseuse that worked with my daughter even assisted her with getting dressed as she had a small issue with her distressed jeans, like I said above and beyond. The nail salon was clean and quiet and didn't smell of acrylic and was very pleasant and relaxing. We got our hair done too, this place has everything! I just got a gel manicure from someone named Lovely and I'm not too happy with it. I got sparkle gel polish and the sparkle distribution is totally out of whack. I've never done a sparkle polish before, but it should be evenly distributed on my nails. Some have WAY more than others...the sparkles should be packed on the nail, and if that's not possible then they shouldn't have the sample there showing that it is. So that was disappointing because I was expecting it to look nice as my other gel manis have in the past. The reason for my low star review is that "Lovely" didn't listen as I was telling her it didn't look even. She rushed my manicure and was very aggressive/not super careful. I don't get my nails done often, so for me it's a splurge to go to a salon and pay all that money for a gel manicure. read more

Had an excellent experience this past weekend. I got a relaxing deep tissue massage, facial, and mani pedi. The young lady who did my facial, Susan, was excellent and very informative, she answered all of my questions and gave me feedback on my skin care routine. I would definitely go back! The tech who did my mani pedi was very friendly and nice. She held good conversation as well and did an excellent job on my nails. The massage felt amazing and was very soothing. The whole spa package started off okay - easy to make the appointment. The first part was the facial, which went okay. A good experience, relaxing, etc. Then was the massage - which was the one thing I was looking forward too and was one of the worst massages I've ever had at least I got a little rest. I was told on the phone it would be a chair massage and I wouldn't need to take my clothes off (not what I thought it would be when the group on was booked). It was a massage in a chair that fully reclined. The therapist was horrible - no idea if she had any training. She made no accommodations for my body like a pillow under my knees, didn't ask if I had any areas that needed attention, etc. The mini massage with the facial was 10xs better. At one point she reached over my body and used my body to steady herself as if I wasn't a person. The foot massage was just a lot of oil rubbed on my feet - there was not a lot of massage to be had. The next step was the pedicure but the therapist insisted on putting my socks back on - she has no idea where she was. I was also not offered water at all during either treatments. Odd for a massage. The mani/pedi were nothing special - the traditional massage. The majority of people there were bored staff sitting around taking up space. I never understand why the TVs are on but with no sound or closed captioning - why bother otherwise. The mani/pedi would have been okay except it took forever and it already looks like crap. Its winter no one is wearing flip flops out - I was sprayed down with quick dry and then I put on my socks and shoes. Not one of the 8 bored employees offered to help me or put plastic wrap to protect the pedicure. I know I could go back and ask for the toes and thumb to be fixed but I don't have time to explain the error to the numerous staff that doesn't talk to each other or time to park, wait, etc. For the amount of lotion and oil that was used during the pedicure I would at least have soft feet - but sadly that is not the case. This was supposed to be a 3 hour relaxing experience. I took a vacation day to do this - so I'm rather pissed about the TIME and MONEY wasted. read more

I bought a Groupon and had a massage, facial, and manicure/pedicure. The massage started late and was about 20 min shorter than it was supposed to be. I was very frustrated by this and complained towards the end, however, because I had already paid was told that the best they could do was discount a next service. The facial was good (my first), however, I felt a bit shamed for not having a better, more regular skin care routine. The advice was good, but considering my goal was to spend a day relaxing, I was not in the mood for a lecture and was a bit off-put. The nails were the highlight of the three services, and I have since revisited that salon and used the discount, however, that business seems to be separate from Spa Logic, with a different door. Also, I find the inability to tip with credit cards VERY annoying! Bring cash, or be prepared to pay the ATM fee. read more

Horrible customer service experience. I had a Travelzoo voucher for a discount facial and massage. When I arrived, they didn't quite know what to do with me, as I wasn't assigned a masseuse. I was supposed to receive a glass of wine, which was never offered. I'm giving it two stars because Sadi who did my facial was great. Laura who did my massage needs to work on her technique, as there was no consultation and she bruised (i.e left broken blood vessels) on my back from her overly enthusiastic deep tissue massage. When I called the next day to inform the spa, the person who answered the phone told me I should have mentioned it at "check out", so they can talk to the person right away. I indicated that I couldn't see bruises at that point and told her there wasn't really a "check out" because a lady was at the front counter complaining that the price for hair services increased. The person on the phone ignored me and proceeded to greet someone walking into the spa. I will not be returning, how disappointing. read more

The receptionist at Spa Logic is rude, which makes for an unpleasant experience, especially when you're paying a pretty penny for their services. I was able to overlook a few things I didn't appreciate about this salon because I LOVE how great my hair always turns out with Shawnna, even the rude receptionist and inconvenient location for their shampoo station (I couldnt fully relax my legs since people walked along that conduit to the closet, resulting in my not bring able to fully relax). read more

I have had my haircut by the owner of Spa Logic before and my cut was great and she was lovely. I was running late for my haircut this morning with Shwanna and called to let her know, the receptionist said that it was no problem. When I arrived, traveling quite far, Shewanna said that she would not be able to blow dry my hair. I said oh I didn't realize and she snapped, "I've been here a few years, I book up." This information could have been relayed on the phone so that I wouldn't have traveled out to DuPont Circle and it certainly did not have to be so rudely said. It was freezing outside and I could not go back to work with wet hair. While she may book up immediately, word of mouth is a powerful source of recommendation and a lack of kindness and inconsiderate behavior does not maintain clients. read more

I am truly not a person to write a review but this place deserves more than 5 stars. I began my journey getting my nails done with Angela. I had just moved to DC and finding a nail salon is a harder task than people think but one day after work I encountered this place due to their flexible hours (they close at 11pm!!) and on my first visit I found her! She is absolutely amazing, from start to finish she does a fantastic job. She takes her time and really does it as a true professional nail technician. Not only is she amazing but also, she is extremely consistent. I've gone to her many times now and every single time I leave completely satisfied. I've lived in many states in the US and she sets the bar extremely high for anyone to even come close to a comparison. If you're looking for nail technician in DC, I highly recommend to call and schedule with Angela. The main reason I decided to write a review is because from getting my nails done today, I took a chance in trying out their hair salon. I just want to share that I've gone to many hair salons in DC and California (where I grew up), many that have cost a fortune to get a haircut and have great reviews. I've always asked for the owner and every single time I walk out, I leave unsatisfied with my service but today I walked up the stairs and by a pure luck Mr. Metin Celik was available to assist me. I truly don't have words to express my gratitude to this gentleman. I've never in my entire life felt as beautiful as I do right now. I blow dry and straighten my hair everyday and with time my ends have gotten damaged. Many other salon owners have cut it in a way that doesn't get all of the damage out, my ends would still be split and I would go home and try millions of treatments but Mr.Celik has a level of skill that is truly beyond this universe. His hands have been truly blessed. I can't even express how amazing he is, from start to finish I could see my hair transforming into a glowing healthy self. The damage is completely out!! I can't even believe I am writing these words now. Something I've struggled with immensely over the years. Not only did he remove the damage but also shaped my hair in a way to flatter my face that I've always dreamt to have and he did that for me. I am beyond grateful to this gentleman and I hope that he may read this to know how much it meant to me to receive his service. Lastly, I want to add that they offer the "Perfect Blowout" and they don't lie when saying that. I came out looking ready for a red carpet and I am looking for things to do to show off my look. I absolutely love spa logic. Their hours, prices, and service quality are hard to beat. I just had my hair cut and blown out with Metin and it was one of the best hair cuts I have ever had. I tend to shy away from hair cuts because I love my hair long. I've had cuts that didn't do too much for me and I'd notice dead ends still present after washing the my hair after the initial cut. Metin exceeded my expectations. He seriously was amazing and took his time perfecting his craft. He knew I liked my hair long and would check in with me each time before a big snip. I called to get a second appointment with Thomas only to be told he had moved on and they had no idea where he went. Okay? So I just had them put me with whoever was available at the time I wanted, which turned out to be Tracy. She was very sweet, not too talkative but personally I like that, and I had complete faith in her. Flash forward a half hour and my formerly chin-length bob is now almost up to my ears, uneven, looks like a boy's cut in the back, and won't curl any more because it's been thinned so intensely. Unfortunately, as my hair was still wet and I hadn't played around with it myself, I didn't realize any of this until I got home and tried to style it myself the next morning, at which point I was in tears. I've never ever asked for my money back or any other form of compensation after a bad hair cut, but this was just too much. I called the salon and asked to speak to a manager or owner, and was put on the phone with Zhen. She immediately offered to refund my money, and asked if I'd like to come in so she could see if there was anything to be done with my hair. I went in but was very clear that I didn't want it cut any shorter, as it's probably going to take me about 2 months to grow my hair out to normal length again as it is. We decided to just leave it for now, but she gave me a gift certificate for a hair cut with her when I'm ready. Zhen was extremely kind and understanding, and I felt dealt very well with my problem. So A++ on customer service, but F on my original hair cut. I honestly can't believe it turned out that badly. I asked for a trim, explained how I wear my hair, etc. everything I normally do that results in the hairdresser giving me a great cut, but not that day. read more

I especially like that Sarah seeks feedback in the process, so she finds out where the pain points are. Massage with her is great! I recently went to Spa Logic for a haircut and partial highlights with Tracy D. and absolutely LOVE the result!! I'm usually very picky about my hair, but had read positive reviews about Tracy on Yelp and thought I'd give her a try. I was truly amazed. In the past it's taken months, if not longer, to build rapport with a stylist, but Tracy understood my hair right away. Instead of just nodding along when I told her what I wanted, she listened intently and asked pointed questions about the result I wanted and which highlighting/coloring techniques I'd tried in the past. I've been getting balayage for nearly three years, but Tracy explained other methods that might be better for achieving my desired look. She walked me through all the various options for correcting my roots after the balayage and explained the ramifications of each. At one point, she even brought over another stylist to provide an alternative perspective. In my experience, that type of humility and collaborative spirit is pretty rare. Ultimately we decided to "weave" in partial foil highlights. I didn't even know was an option for someone with thin, wavy hair like mine. She listened just as closely when it came to the cut, checking in with me along the way and being careful not to chop too much off. She actually blew it out after cutting the ends so it wouldn't be too short. The end result was gorgeous, and she was genuinely thrilled with my reaction. DO NOT USE MILEY!!!! While I cannot comment on the salon overall, Miley gave me the worst haircut. She did exactly what I asked her not to and now I'm furious. I walked out of the salon and straight to another to have them fix it. She also kept hitting me in the eye with the brush when she was blow drying and would laugh when it clearly startled/hurt me. I went to spa logic today for the first time after hearing friends rave about their experiences there. I received a cut and color from, Myly, and she definitely did not let me down! I've never been able to find a stylist that I like enough to go see more than once, but I will absolutely be going back to Myly for as long as I am in DC! She layered my hair without taking too much length off and colored it perfectly! Myly obviously has a lot of expertise, and I would already put all my trust in her with my hair after going to her only once. (Myly gave me layers throughout my hair and angled it so it would frame my face better. She also mixed up some brown/reddish/violet dye which resulted in the most beautiful color.)
