I had the groupon "spa day" deal- and I really enjoyed my visit. Everyone was super attentive, from the greeter at the door, to each person leading me from one area to the next, they seem to take pride in their work and their smiles are infectious. The facial was nice with Sayde, it was of course painful and relaxing all in one hour. The massage with Monica was different, as it was fully clothed in a leather lazy boy recliner that was layed out in a flat bed (it really wasn't but that's how it looked), it was nice and relaxing until a woman came in to get a massage two chairs over and her and her masseuse couldn't stop chatting and snickering- it really took away from the ambiance and I kind of wish my masseuse would have said something, but nevertheless still a good massage. My manicure and pedicure with Kathy was really nice, she was super sweet and I enjoyed chatting with her while she painted my nails- she was genuinely interested in speaking with me and made me feel very comfortable. A few days later I ended up getting a haircut/stle here with Tracey who was just as friendly and accomodating as the rest. I would definitely recommend visiting this place (and these women!) if you need any of the above treatments, it's a nice place to come and take a load off. read more

I have been here twice for a hair cut, a treatment, a trim, color, for gel nails and it is by far the best customer service experience I have had in DC altogether. I love that the moment you come in you are made to feel welcome and they truly address your needs. I was asked what issues I have with my hair and was given a few options to maintain it but was not pressured into buying anything, instead I was given a sample to try and later decided to buy it. The people that work there are super friendly and I can go on forever about this but I really left that place feeling like I spoiled myself! The people there are very professional and experienced. I have been going to Zen, the lead stylist and part owner of Spa Logic, for more than 6 years. I followed her through 3 different salons and now that she has landed here and built her own space - I couldn't be happier for her. She is incredibly good at what she does, has a keen eye for customer service, will talk or not talk - whatever you are in the mood for and does amazing cuts and color. I have dirty blond/light brown hair and Zen does masterful highlights that look incredibly natural and grow out looking fine. I've also gotten Keratin treatments here and had silky, straight hair for months that I didn't have to blow dry. I highly recommend Nancy! She has been cutting my hair for several years and I follow her to whatever salon she is at. I've had mid-back-length hair for years and Nancy has always given me my trims and done a fabulous and fast blowout that lasts! This past year, when I was ready I decided to cut my hair very short and Nancy was really helpful. She guided me into making the right decision about style and length and did the cut. Went initially for a deep tissue massage w Sarah. The first session was deep and painful but undid all of my knots and I felt happy loose and was convinced to buy a package with her for 8 sessions. Each session was just as deep using her elbows and I began to develop a deeper aching stiffness just below my shoulder blade. I began to suspect that due to the force used I may be developing a new injury in a spot I've never had issues. I called the desk asking if I could schedule for another masseuse for my next and they admonished against it saying your own knows your body. I never went back and now with some stretching and yoga I am trying to work out the adhesion that the masseuse caused in the fascia underneath my blade. I still have sessions left too but I would not feel comfortable returning. read more

I've been to Spa Logic now two times in the last six months. It is a beautiful (clean!) salon with friendly staff, and is conveniently located near the Dupont Circle Metro Station. Back in July, Tracey added layers and texture to my long bob and it grew out beautifully. Today, I asked her for that same cut and a bit of toner, and once again I'm completely over-the-moon in love with it. Both times, I felt she was so knowledgeable, professional, and very easy to talk to. I love this place. I come here about 2 or 3 times a month to get a steam treatment, blow out, and flat iron (beachy waves) byTracy. She is amazing, by the way. Tracy colored my hair and keeps it touched up and looking amazing and healthy. I get lots of compliments when I leave. I'm so thankful that I found this place. The staff is friendly and accomodating. I used to go to Cole Stevens for my treatments but this place is way better on every level. I have recommended Tracy to many of my friends. I plan to keep coming back as long as I live the area. Like many others I found this place through Groupon. I got a 50 minute massage. Making the appointment was very straightforward and easy. The front desk experience is also fine and my masseuse (Sarah) was extremely friendly when I met her. The massage is on the 2nd floor in a quiet part of the salon. Sarah asked what my needs were. When I told her that I wanted her to focus on my neck and shoulders she immediately tried to upsell me on additional services - hot stone, a cooling gel, etc. I finally relented and agreed to the cooling gel. Sarah is an incredible masseuse if one likes a hard touch. She's super strong and identified my problem areas very quickly. At times she seemed rough with my body but she approached me with such confidence and talked me through the pain that I trusted her. The day after I realized that the pain I'd be carrying around for months was gone. While Sarah was extraordinary, I was unhappy with her efforts to get me to purchase additional services. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs deep tissue work on chronic pain. I'm definitely returning to see her. read more

The first time I had a facial at Spa Logic the technician kept trying to sell me products throughout most of the 50 minutes it was uncomfortable. I got my haircut from Myly a few months ago and I loved my experience. I didn't have to wait very long at all and I was early for my haircut. It was a very busy Saturday afternoon, practically every chair was filled. When I first met Myly I wasn't sure what to think because she was still carrying a conversation on the phone via he Bluetooth headset. At first I thought that this would be a very long haircut experience because I was worried she would be on the phone the entire time. Lucky for me she wasn't. In fact, she was very nice and apologized for having to speak with her husband while with a client. I told Myly exactly the style I wanted, a semi-dramatic inverted v bob, almost chin length. I needed something fresh and long hair was just bringing me down. The hair cut turned out great and I think Myly was really impressed how different it made me look. My new hair cut gives me the bit of edge and distinctiveness that I was yearning for over the past 4 or 5 months. Three months later and my friends still asked me if I recently got a hair cut. I don't know if they're bad friends or the hair cut looks that fresh. I'll definitely be back! read more

Garrett Johnson does a spectacular job with curly hair. I'm a 2C/3B curl and he's been working on my hair for over a decade. He is expert at coloring (especially all the gray I've developed since I met him in my early 20s), and does a great job of delivering a cut that doesn't turn in to a "mushroom" within a few weeks. I've had him cut off 9" to go with a super-short cut, and have also grown it out to mid-back length under his care. I've always been happy with the results. read more

Title: Overall good, could use some refinements. Pricing: They do Groupons, Yelp deals, and you can ask for discounted pricing Massage: had a deep tissue massage with Nathan. He gave a good, deep tissue massage with excellent pressure. He noted knots and focused on the areas I asked him to. Was awkward. With a bit of coaching he could be very good. Both massage tables had an exposed metal bar at the chin area. Facial: with Cathy and wasn't very good. She didn't do an initial consultation nor did she explain what she was doing throughout. She is too rough, for example pushed and pulled so hard she pulled my eyelids open and got lotion in my contacts. She did "extractions" even though I have dry, older skin without black/white heads. She told me she uses the same vitamin C products on everyone. Not at all relaxing. Refinements: - We were told to wait in the hair salon, waited until after our appointment time, and then went up late. They should have taken us up to the relaxation area to wait. (Note it was a morning appointment and not busy) - While we waited the person at the desk pushed us to pay the balance in full before going up. After, when we paid, we learned you can only pay cash for the tips, and, the tip money goes to the desk person and then where? - They were completely confused about what services we had made appointments for (simple massages and facials) and this got them quite flustered and put them another 10 minutes behind. - Nathan seems to be new to working in a salon and could use some guidance, e.g., how to interact with customers, what to ask before the massage, how to give instructions on where to put clothes, where and how to position sheets and towels, how to do the transition to the next service, etc. - I had to ask for a robe and the one I was given had trash (used tissue and candy wrapper) in the pocket. The next one didn't have a sash and so they took the sash from the dirty one and gave it to me. read more

After a weekend of continuous walking in NYC, I called Spa Logic for reflexiology using the Groupon voucher. I had Sarah for my reflexiology and I was hooked. I immediately booked her for an 80min session of full body massage. Best deep tissue session I ever had. She will find you the knots and problems you have never thought you have and you'll be kicking and growling (and in my case screaming and crying inside) but you definitely will thank her for giving you a new refreshed and more limber body. Was an amazing experience! If you've been looking for a person who can take your pain and still push through and do the best for your body, Sarah is for you. She has a killer reflexiology too and even Swedish if that's more your cup of tea. read more

Spa Logic is an ideal spa in an extremely convenient location. For my first facial, Sedi was amazing! She walked me through all the procedures and explained everything she was doing. From there, Sarah took me into my massage which was so relaxing. With the aide of essential oils, she worked out all my kinks and left me feeling great! I also got a mani pedi downstairs and they did a great job there too. I feel like the team there are all trained professionals who really care about giving everyone the best experience. I've been to Spa Logic for numerous services from massages to acrylic nails and I love them. The massages are gooooddd and very professional, and I have finally found a manicurist I like--David. They serve wine and water, which is a plus for me as I usually need a wind down after work. Spa Logic is great! This was my second time going there (using a Groupon deal), and all four of the services (facial, massage, manicure, pedicure) were amazing! Anne Marie did my facial and she was kind, efficient, knowledgeable (she actually took some time to educate, which not all aestheticians bother to do), and my face felt great afterwards. Donna did my massage, and she really worked to focus on my trouble areas and all the knots I have from sitting at a desk all day while sheltering at home, and recommended some stretches for me to do so my muscles don't get so tight from hanging out in my apartment all day. She was very friendly and has a wealth of experience in the clinical setting so it felt like she really was familiar with what she was doing. I don't remember the name of my nail technician, but I'm in love with my manicure and pedicure. I was wondering how they were going to practice safe social distancing with such intimate procedures but I felt comfortable the entire time - I wore a mask when I needed to, took it off when I had to (for the facial and face down in the massage), but everyone else was compliant and they had the separation plastic barriers between people in the nail area which I appreciated - I'm definitely planning to come back to see everyone soon! read more

I've been getting my nails done here since summer. They do a REALLY nice job on gel manicures. They go for 35, which is expensive for that area, but I'm always impressed. Thin careful coats that last for 2-3 weeks. Pedicures are nice too. Technicians are sassy and honest and I like it! read more

I've been here twice so far, once for a long hair cut and a second time to cut off all my hair into a pixie. The first guy is no longer there, but since I really liked the staff and salon I booked an appointment with Tracy D after reading reviews. Now, I had around 15 inches of hair I asked her to cut off into a really short pixie cut (faux-mohawk style) and she did the BEST job. She worked with me to combine the two pictures I brought, and cut it longer at first then worked on slowly cutting it shorter. She also taught me about each step she was taking to style it. After this haircut, I have nothing but great things to say about Tracy D. She was lovely and gave me an edgy haircut that everyone lovesss (woohoo!). $60 is a little expensive for my taste, but the whole experience feels worth the price. The sink woman gives a nice head massage, and wine/mimosas come with the price of the haircut/color. The salon also runs specials sometimes where a haircut will get you a discount downstairs. (I've had my eyebrows done three times, and each time everything went very well.) read more

I've been going here for over 4 years for mani pedis. And for 80% of the time I've been very satisfied. Last Saturday I got spa pedicure and gel manicure. My nails have been chipping and breaking every day since Saturday. I'm not sure what they gave me but it wasn't a real gel manicure. So I'm only giving 2 stars. Be careful what you're getting. I bought a package for mother's day, for my wife a d her friend. It took close to about 30 minutes to book it. Mostly because it seems that they are understaffed. At first the person that assisted me did not know about the package that was advertised on their website. Excuse number one, "I just got back from vacation". I asked that they get a couple's massage which he was nice enough to make that happen. Only that when they got there, after being asked multiple times for their names, they said that they will get the massage at different times. After my wife and her friend insisted that I booked a couple's massage, they were able to accommodate. My wife was telling me how terrible her massage was and that it was mostly a soft rub on her back and that at one point with no prior warning, the masseuse, started pulling on her hair. My wife said she felt "like I was on candid camera and someone was making fun of me." Both were Sweedish massages and according to the girls, they both received different massages. The facial which was advertised at 50 minutes, according to them, took close to a little over 30 minutes. When they got home, I received a phone call from the spa. I guess my wife complained about the bad services and they called back to offer an explanation. Greatly appreciated but it did not make much sense to me. First to the hair pulling part, I was told that the masseuse thought that my wife's neck was too sense and she applied a complimentary Thai massage, which I guess it involves pulling your hair back. She was never told anything. Because of the "tight neck" she concentrated more on that than on her feet or legs. Also the facial, they claim that the timer starts once your massage is over, because that package I bought was for a total of 3 hours. That includes a manicure/pedicure. My reply to that was "well, your add is a bit missleading" if you say is a 50 minutes facial, then make it 50 minutes" It seems that the prep time it takes to get a person ready for the facial, is part of those 50 minutes. I would like to add that this was a their 3rd time they went there and the previous times they were very happy with everything. Honestly not sure what happened this time. They will never go back to this place. They did offer an apology but I think it was not enough for ruining the experience. read more

I go all the time for nails, waxing and spray tans and even brought my boyfriend to get his hair cut there. Today I went in for a gel manicure, regular pedicure and to get a tip on ONE broken nail. I told the man doing my nails this. I go to check out two hours later and he tells me I owe $98. I was baffled because I've never paid more than $75 for these services and asked for clarification. He claimed that he put a full set of acrylic cream, which I assumed was a new base coat of some sort, as he was putting it on me -otherwise I would've questioned this. He then said he didn't understand what I had asked for sorry but I had to pay up. The woman who also worked there overheard and told me if I was unhappy she would cut all my nails off... !!!! So I paid the $98 and went to talk to the manager who claimed that the only solution to get money back for this "little miscommunication," as she called it, was to go downstairs after the two previous hours I spent there and have them cut off these "acrylics" and redo them all completely. This is obviously a ridiculous solution that nobody would agree to since I wanted to obviously get out of this place as soon as possible. They ripped me off and pretended to misunderstand me to my face in order to get me to pay $100 for a gel manicure and pedicure. At the end, I was offered 10% off my next service - as if I'd ever step foot in that horrid place again. Don't come here unless you want to be uncharged and forced to pay it or they will "cut all your nails off." read more

I have been going to Spa Logic since it opened. It was great then, it's even better now. The staff are extremely nice, professional, and qualified. The space is clean, modern, and tranquil. The owner, Kathy Luu, is an amazing businesswoman, and goes above and beyond to make the spa experience first class for all of their clients.
