I bought the groupon for a mani/pedi, massage and facial which was a great deal. The mani/pedi was fine although the cost to upgrade to gel didn't seem reasonable given the cost of gel manicures in DC. That aside the massage was great. The reason I am writing this review and gave the place 1 star is the awful experience I had with the facial. The therapist did not provide any consultation before starting and did not ask about my skin and its quality, what I was hoping to get out of the treatment etc. She started doing extractions and it was the most painful experience. Typically if an extraction won't budge the therapists stops as its not appropriate or ready to be extracted- not this therapist. For weeks after I continued to break out and my skin has still not completely recovered. Extremely disappointed. read more

And now I keep coming back to Sedi for regular facials. She is a miracle working, leaves my skin looking so bright and fresh and gives realistic recommendations for how to take care of my skin. It was my first time going to Spa Logic, and they were very accommodating. I have extremely jet black hair, and I wanted to do something different without bleaching it. The end results were great, although I was scheduled to do a dye job, AND a cut. When it came time to cut (which I only wanted a light trim), all the stylist did was literally snippet a few things here and there, and I got charged like 60 bucks? I could understand how the price of the dye job was expensive, considering the stylist took so much time and diligence on it, but to have been charged 60 bucks for a snippets I could have done at home? Ridiculous. Literally spent, maybe not even 5 minutes on my hair (cutting wise)? How was that equal up to 60 dollars? Anyways, enough of that rant. I would honestly only suggest if you want a huge job done, like coloring hair etc. I honestly feel like you'd waste your money if you wanted a hair cut that won't do much difference to your overall appearance. You could honestly go anywhere else and probably get the same look for less. Overall, my experience wasn't that bad, just not sure if I would go there again due to the fact that I felt like I got ripped off a bit. P.S. The coloring of the hair was great, total A+. Just not sure about the cut job. Literally spent more time blow-drying already almost dry hair than trimming. The worst place ever in terms of quality of acrylic products. I gave them 6 chances and my nails still yellowed. They kept blaming it on me. They also charge you differently each and every single time. And $15 just for a clear layer of gel over regular nail polish! The prices depends on who is there at the time. Not a way to run a business. Oh, and I went elsewhere and got my nails done and there's NO yellowing at all...so who's fault was the yellowing? Cheap products, that's what. read more

Let's just say my overall experience at Spa Logic was great! Service was on point, my requests were attended to in a timely manner, and I could not have chosen a better birthday gift for myself. I purchased the spa package with complimentary wine through groupon. I went yesterday so everything is very fresh in my mind. There was a mishap at first, because I went online to schedule my appointment but somehow their website was having difficulties so they could not find my name when i called a few days before to confirm ( a couple of days later, it crashed, so go figure). The phone conversation was not the best, the guy seemed very clueless and put me on hold for a while. It's not a big deal. They just need to work on it. I started with a mani-pedi. The women who took care of me were great and very attentive to my needs. ( I am so bombed I forgot their names) Then, they escorted me upstairs to meet Sara the masseuse. She was AMAZING. She took care of my shoulder problems and massaged my whole body. I felt like a goddess when I left her, literally, so ask for her. Then, Sherry, I believed, did my facial. I did not take the organic upgrade because I am very careful about what i put on my face, organic or not, and I did not need the extra care. It was very soothing. This spa is great. Front service can be improved and what not but if you care about the main deal like I did, then you would definitely give them a 5 star like I did. Just go there, if you can afford the package, hurry to Groupon before it runs out, and let nice people take care of you! read more

You need to see Susan, like now. She's hands down the best! I've had many services with her; waxing, facials and spray tans -- and yes, brown girls like to get bronzy, too! I like to even out my skin tone and have an overall glow and she delivers. Very even all over every single time. She has a great touch when it comes to facials and is very thorough and exemplary when it comes to listening to my concerns. Also, even more importantly, she's got an amazing attitude and a warm spirit that when paired with her skill set makes for a truly enjoyable experience. You can be a 20 year veteran and have waxed from Spain to Timbuktu, but if your attitude and delivery make me feel like "just another client", I'll probably never return. She's also in a great location with metro access. If you're looking for an amazing esthi, check for Susan. A true glow getter!! read more

I truly don't enjoy writing bad reviews but I feel compelled to share. I came to Spa Logic for a Groupon 50-minute facial, and was looking forward to it, especially since the spa has good reviews for the most part. I've had dozens of facials in my life and this was probably one of the worst. I didn't quite catch the technician's name but I believe it started with an F. She didn't ask me any questions about my skin, other than if it's sensitive, and she didn't examine it under a light. The facial was super, super rough and painful. She mostly just aggressively scrubbed/massaged my face, often hitting my ears, before leaving me on the table with a mask for fifteen minutes. During this time she came in and out of the room and at one point used the bathroom that's attached to the spa room, which I found rather odd. She ended the facial by putting a heavy, greasy moisturizer on my face. I don't think anything was done for my skin during the 50 minutes other than hydration and moisturizing. I couldn't wait to get out of there. As I said before, I feel bad leaving this type of a review, and I'm sure this technician doesn't reflect Spa Logic as a whole (it does seem like a nice salon), but I wish I had been given this sort of warning before buying my Groupon. read more

I visited Spa Logic yesterday, September 24th at 3:00 pm. My family bought the Groupon spa package for me. The experience started out very good. The facial went well. Susan was very personable. The massage therapist did a wonderful job and was interested in my needs and went above and beyond expectations. However, I was very disappointed with the mani/pedi. The manicurist did not give me a proper greeting and didn't offer me anything to drink. So I had to ask for champagne. At that point I should have been told what the choices were, instead she bought me a mimosa without explanation. Oh and by the way, she had already started my pedicure and proceeded to pour my drink with her GLOVES STILL ON! Of course I didn't drink it. Nonetheless, the pedicure was good ,the manicure was bad. My nails have already chipped. I will never come back. read more

I get facials and spray tans from Susan on a regular basis and I absolutely love it! I have really dry sensitive skin and I have had some nightmarish incidents with other estheticians. From the beginning Susan knew what she was doing when it came to my skin and thanks to some of her skin care recommendations my skin has never looked better. Get the 50 minute facial it is seriously the best. She also does spray tans which last for about a week and a half and are a much better quality then your standard tanning salon. read more

I followed Thomas Shelton to Spa Logic -- because Thomas is the best stylist and the nicest person (read my Yelp review of Thomas under "Thomas Shelton Hair Design") -- and I love this salon. Like everyone else, I find Spa Logic to be a very inviting, friendly, clean, professional salon. It is a very comfortable place to be without the pretentiousness of some other salons. It is clean as a whistle, everyone is friendly, and the nail salon downstairs has now become a tradition after I get my haircut. I moved to DC a year ago and have been hopping around trying to find a stylist I can go back to every month, and I think I have finally found the stylist I can trust. Tracy is amazing, she genuinely cares about healthy hair and it really nice and sweet. I had to cut off a few inches because my hair was damaged but I'm honestly not that upset because Tracy did the cut really well and made my hair pretty.The salon could be managed a bit better, just noticed the 20% off discount for new customers from another reviewer that I wasn't offered, but I am happy to overlook it to go back to Tracy. read more

They did an amazing job on my new daughter-in-law's color, styling, nails, and makeup for the wedding - and were as friendly and accommodating as anyone could ever hope for. Wonderful facials. Beautiful, newly renovated, clean and fresh facility. And if a customer is not pleased for some reason, they will make it right!! Extremely welcoming group of people. Amazing place. I decided to treat myself to a spa day while visiting DC for my birthday. I called in the morning and set up an appointment for that afternoon. I got a Swedish massage, facial, manicure and pedicure. I was very please with all the services I received and the customer service is amazing. The receptionist was very helpful and informative, I believe his name is Eric. My masseuse Monica is a God send!!! Yelp had a $150 for $100 so I only ended up paying $109 plus tip. I will definitely be coming back every time I'm in DC. read more

I would give it less stars due to my original stylist not showing up in time for appointment, but I give it 5 stars for the stylist(s) stepped in, who did my hair and make-up and had me looking like a star. Kathy was GOOD and quick,. She even took me next door to look for a couple accessories to complete my outfit since I was running late. Loved loved loved it here! ! My first time having a facial and full body massage. This was a gift from my daughter. My face felt wonderful and looked more youthful per my daughter, the full body massage was awesome I had trouble with my left arm and leg movement but after the massage I could move without any problems. Before the treatment I could not lift my arm above my head or put my arm behind my back but after the massage I could lift my arm above my head and place it behind my back. Very relaxing atmosphere, very wonderful people who work with you. I also had a mani-pedi , Nam was great massaging my hands. Loved the professional, friendly staff. I had a very negative experience with Spa Logic. While I was purchasing the groupon for a haircut and blow-dry, I called to check if they have an appointment at the specific day/time I needed it for (as I had an important event at that time). The appointment time was confirmed in the call, in which I mentioned that I had a groupon. They later inform me, after I myself called, that they can not do it anymore at that time because the stylists who take groupon customers (I guess lower profile stylists?) would not be available and the ones available (better stylists?) do not take the (low profile?) groupon customers. I made my purchase decision based on the confirmation of the appointment time and that is why I called before, to later have it cancelled. Very poor customer service. I now know that's a place I should never reconsider going to again. read more

The people are very nice, and this was only my first time there. I tried to get balayage done, but ended up with just really highlighted hair. The three star review is not only because of the sub-par dye job, but in addition I got a pretty poor haircut. I honestly could have given myself a better cut in the mirror. read more

Went there this past Monday and the entire staff treated me like a Queen for almost 4 hrs!!!! I mean from head to toe was taking care of. Had a full body massage, mani, pedi, and facial.
