I came here to remove my nail extension and gel. The worst service ever. They over used drill and then file my nail very hard. After an hour, You can see the outcome in the photo. They repeated used drill and to an extend that it hurts my nail. Uneven and over filed nails. There was no soaking off which is strange and a different approach from other places. I had a regular pedicure and the technician cut the sides of my big toe nail so much that the nail bed is exposed on the sides. They would have to grow at least 1/2" to cover the nail bed. I trimmed them before I went so it was totally unnecessary. The top of the nails were filed so much that now my nails are very thin. Why do they have to be excessive?!?? And forget about the polish, it was caked on that it took forever to dry and smudged everywhere. Overall, the whole experience was awful. I don't think these technicians have been trained properly and who knows if they are even licensed. And the 3% charge if you use a credit card and I asked what if I use a debit card which is DIFFERENT from a credit card and they said they would still charge 3%. I'm never going back to this place. My pedicure the last few times were meh but this time was just awful. I could have done a better job. Time to look for a new place. read more

Love this nail salon! I have been coming here for years. It's a big, bright, relaxing and clean space. It doesn't have that overpowering nail polish smell either! I had to call them for help finding the entrance and the person on the phone was very nice! Overall I had a good experience but I would not recommend booking an appointment later in the day. I booked a pedicure appointment here over the phone for 6 pm. Because they let me make the appointment for 6, I assumed it was okay. Then a couple hours before the appointment I got a text asking if I could come early, so I was able to get there 15 minutes early. They did do a really great job and it was a great experience but then it looked like they were closing and they had me put my shoes on before the nail polish was dry. Do not come here to get your eyebrows done. For double the price of neighboring spots, my eyelid was burned by the wax and I was left with a nasty scab on the day of an important event. I felt a burning sensation that was pretty strong once she removed the strip and expressed that to which she applied more gel to cool it down (the burning continued). When I got home, I looked at my the eyelid that was burning and found a red line that continued to get worse. Besides that I still see a ton of shorter hairs that were not properly cleaned. The Asian man who stands in the front of the store appears to be the owner is probably the rudest man I've ever encountered running a business. He speaks to you in a condescending way and seems to try to fit too many customers on his schedule for the $$. The nail tech lady was nice but seemed inexperienced. she did not do the flower design I asked for correctly at all and they look nothing like the photo I showed her. The colors they made me use were also off but I was too afraid to say anything as she already painted it. She also burned my hands with the hot towel and she did not do a good job cutting/cleaning the skin around the nails. I paid for the services without complaining at all. Tipping has to be cash or you can venmo it to that mans personal venmo account which I thought was strange but okay. As I venmo him, he's looking at his venmo and laughs at my tipping amount and insinuated that I was being cheap because I tipped $8. I received terrible service but tipped anyway for AN OVERPRICED SHITTY NAIL SALON. I came here a month ago to get my gel nails removed. I explained to the front desk that these were my natural nails (they looked very long) and I just wanted a gel removal and classic manicure. She told me I needed to wait 15 minutes even though I had an appointment. That was fine. But then I sat down and I guess the lady didn't explain anything to my nail tech who just started cutting my long grown nails and then filing it with the electric nail file. No soaking whatsoever and I kept speaking up, but she didn't understand me and just kept going. Later she told me that she thought they were fake extensions.... Uhm??? It hurt very badly and I was very upset that she cut off my long, beautiful natural nails. It's been 2 weeks now and my nails are very brittle and weak. There's white stuff on them because the gel wasn't removed properly. This was a really upsetting experience, especially because I live close by and wanted this place to be my new nail spot. read more

My new go to place for my nails in Jersey City. A little pricey, like New York prices-but it's very very clean. I feel very safe in terms of covid and the color options are amazing. Even if I get a matching color for my nails and toes (gel + regular) they are always a little off, but the selection is very good. Sometimes the shapes of my nails are a little weird/long for me, but I haven't had any peeling or other issues with my gel. Months ago, I came for gel mani and pedicure. I made an appointment for 10:30am and got here exactly at 10:30am. They were still opening and cleaning so I had to wait for 20 mins - what is the point of an appointment? Then, the receptionist told me that they can't remove the gel on my nails because they don't have a technician who knows how to do removal today. I mentioned that I need gel removal when I was making an appointment. I basically got here and waited 20 mins so that they could tell me that they can't do it. Also they have the worst receptionist - he didn't even bother trying to resolve the issue or apologize. Fast forward to today, I wanted to give this place another shot. BAD IDEA! made an appointment and came in- I waited 20mins AGAIN. This time it was to remove the gel on my nails and toenails and just cut, no color. Been coming here on and off and never really "wow'd". Thought it was decent and just okay but after my last pedi likely won't be back unless I'm in a pinch. The tech attempted to electric drill off my previous gel pedi instead of soaking and ignored my requests to please not drill and soak off until she was done with 2 nails (leaving 1 very, very thin. She tried to blame it on my nail and upsell a service but it was the only thin nail that, sadly, she damaged). She then proceeded to cut and over file my nails extremely short (they were throbbing after the pedi) and rounded in at corners instead of straight across. One of my toes is visibly swollen and "angry" from the pedi. The "massage" lasted less than 30 seconds each leg - more like slapped on some lotion quickly. After this I'm just done trying and paying so much for less than average services. This place is very convenient so sad to be moving on but very disappointed in my latest pedi and the need to now grow out my toe nails (which we all know takes forever) to have them healthy again after being butchered. read more

Just moved to Jersey City and needed a new go to spot for gel pedis. I love that they're open Sunday, and they were able to squeeze me in, same day, before closing. As soon as you enter, they have COVID precautions, which I really appreciated (temp check, sign in, and wash your hands). You'll notice immediately how clean and large the facility is, massage chairs, equipment, etc are all well maintained, and true to its name, it feels like a spa! I was worried once people started cleaning up and leaving, my experience would be rushed and ruined, but it was unperturbed. Ophelia continued to give me her full attention and services. She was very kind, attentive, thorough, and did a beautiful job! For $60 my gel pedi consisted of a spa soak, cleaning, cut/filing, scrub, lotion, hot towel, hot stone, and tons of rubbing/massaging of my feet and calves all throughout! This is the WORST gel manicure experience I had! I came to get a gel mani and pedi. During the pedicure, the nail tech was so rough with taking care of the cuticles that it caused the skin near my toe to bleed. That has never happened to me before. Even though it hurt and was unpleasant, I did not complain anything and left a good tip on the day of the service. However, the gel manicure started to chip off within 10 days. In my experience (including one time in this spa before), the gel nail can be worn for weeks without even the tiniest chip or peel. Something must not be right if the gel starts to chip off so quickly. My life style doesn't damage my nail polish easily. The most disappointing part is when I called the spa to tell them, the front desk staff (Jenny?) who picked up the phone told me this is completely normal. She said that a regular nail polish last 2-3 days and a gel one would peel after one week. I've had manicures for over 10 years and professional manicures I got last much longer than her 2-3 day timeline. Would you spend $40 and sit in the nail salon for an hour for a manicure that last for 2 days? This was not the first time I went to the nature spa. The first time gel manicure lasted until I cut them off. I'm disappointed and upset that the staff wouldn't admit when they did not do a good job. Her tone and attitude made it sound like I was at fault and that expecting a $40 + tip manicure from them to last longer than one week is unreasonable. She said she would speak to her manager and call me back. But she never called back. I could have overlooked the chipped gel nails but her attitude was very upsetting. My gel manicure started peeling two days after I got it done. (They should last at least two weeks!) I went in to get it fixed and the same mail started peeling the next day. I'm not surprised, because instead of soaking the nail to start over, they filed it down where the chip was and painted over that. They offered me a 50% discount on my next service, but honestly I don't want to back if my gel is just gonna chip in two days again. I've been a handful of times and it's just too inconsistent. I've been coming to this salon for the past 6-9 months and my nails would always chip after 1 wk or so, but it was still the best option in the area. This time it started chipping two days after I got gel, so I decided to come back to fix it. Called early in the morning saying that I want to come fix 3 nails at 6 pm. Got in at 5:55 and was sat right away to soak off. 25 minutes later, I was still on my own and they took 3 walk ins by that time. I started to lose my patience and the lady at the front said that someone will come by shortly. Another 5 minutes later and the fourth walk in taken... I just left.... Ok, I understand that you give preference to customers who'll be paying money at the end, but I had an appointment and called way in advance. This place is a very very bad nail salon and I would not recommend. First of all they made me pay first before the service which I had never experienced before. For reference I was the only black man in a room full of mostly white women. I saw other people coming in and not paying and people paying after their services were completed. Second this place is very overpriced. I moved to JC from Brooklyn and in Brooklyn a clear GEL manicure was 10-15 dollars or 20 dollars if you are going to somewhere nice. This was a clear polish manicure for 20 and it was only one singular swipe of polish where in Brooklyn I would get two layers of gel for 15. Finally the service itself was terrible. The service felt so rushed and the nail tech made no effort to remove any of the gel remnants from my last manicure, so you can still see the gel under the singular swipe of polish. Also the application of my polish is not smooth and one of my nails looks like I had been rubbing it against wood because it is so scratchy. Next my nails are not evenly filed so they are slightly jagged. In addition she didn't even give my nails any time to dry she just waved a paper towel over them and told me to leave. Overall I would never come here again I know there are really limited options in Jersey city but this is not a good option. read more

For example making a regular gel manicure $40 not including tip. Spending almost $50 for nails, no acrylic or anything special, that last about two weeks MAX is really steep. I always struggled to find a good nail place near jersey city and now I can surely confirm that I'm in love with this place!! Their COVID procedures are reliable and trustworthy! You have to fill out a form and they check your temperature as of entrance and u are required to wash ur hands before any service. I love how they follow the regulations.
