I had the most incredible Advanced Lymphatic Lift Facial with Paola this week. The spa itself is nestled above the cutest part of Abbot Kinney and is charming and welcoming. When you walk in, you instantly feel relaxed by the ambient sounds and the soft natural light flooding in. It was the perfect combo of a facial (using all of the best products), deep face & shoulder massage, and microcurrency. Paola described the microcurrency as stimulating the muscles in your face- like a workout for your skin. I could definitely feel my facial muscles being used and my skin felt tighter immediately after. It's been a few days since my facial and my skin continues to look glowy, tight, and lifted. Spa Sophia is fantastic! I see Paola for monthly facials and the difference in my skin from when I started until now (about 8 months) is incredible. At the start of each appointment, she thoughtfully decides what treatment to do based on how my skin is looking that day or what kind of results I'm looking for. She also recommends products to compliment the treatments she does so that you can look great in between the appointments as well. She's fantastic at massage if you can book a separate appointment for that, but if not, she does a little while your masks are working which is honestly heaven on earth. I was instantly greeted by Margarita at the desk who was so welcoming and kind, and Vanessa truly went above and beyond my expectations during the treatment and cleaned out my skin so well while also guiding me through my specific skin concerns and even was honest about certain things I should get checked by a dermatologist for, (something I had been putting off) which I so appreciated her thoroughness and honesty. Not only did I leave feeling refreshed and more confident, I was also able to get into a dermatologist recommended by them that put my mind at ease. First hydrafacial at Spa Sophia was with Liz, who did an AMAZING job and left me excited to come back! This time, because of my schedule, I booked a hydrafacial with Paola. Paola had the perfect mix of listening & tailoring to my skincare needs and skin type - but she still pushed me a bit out of my comfort zone and I'm SO glad she did. We added dermaplaning and the results are beautiful, plus she recommended other treatments I'd normally be nervous to try.. but upon doing research, I think they'll be perfect for me. It was beyond a generous gift, and there would be no other place that I would go after the experience I've had. I bought a lymphatic drainage massage and that's not what I got. The therapists fingers were feather-light touches across my skin, with a little bit of pressure on my stomach. It was honestly so odd because I have had lymphatic massages since and they are not like that. Also, I'm fairly certain she didn't use any oils or lotions at all during the process. read more

Liz is a miracle worker! After years and years of trying everything under the sun to clear my acne (from the latest TikTok viral skincare product to prescription meds) i felt super defeated. What I love about her is how she just breaks things down in such simple terms and never made me feel foolish for having tried the wackiest things that I thought would fix my problems.
