Zero customer service, defective tub: I purchased a tub back in early December. My tub has a defect and appears to be used. They use delay tactics in hopes that you will just go away. For a while they promised a replacement tub. That never happened. Then they told me that they had scheduled a field repair. They even gave me a date. But of course that never happened either. Buyer beware. PS: I'd love to post pics. Then you could decide for yourself if the tub was used. read more

We bought an Artisian swim spa from Spa World two years ago. We love it & have never had any issues with it. Our issue is with the attitude & customer service. We have never heard another word from them once we closed the deal. We would have gladly bought ongoing chemicals but never was given any additional information. We needed to replace the three filters recently & called the store several times. The phone was never answered by a real person and the message I left was never returned! Guess they aren't interested in additional sales. So we went elsewhere. They must be very busy to not return calls. We love our swim spa, but if we ever need service or equipment we will go elsewhere. read more

We recently bought our first hot tub here - a South Seas 735L - and were very pleased with the experience. The salesman Kelly O'Toole was friendly and helpful without being too overbearing or laying a heavy sales pitch on us. Just purchased a beautiful hot tub from Chuck @ Spa World. He was so helpful and courteous. We had never had one before so didn't even know what questions to ask. He asked all the right questions and we decided on the most perfect one for our use. Then the day before the scheduled delivery, Sean called and said he would see us the next day between 9:30 & 10. Spa world. We purchased a beautiful spa last year. Last month we found our spa was acting up. So my husband called the service department. He proceeded to describe what the problem was to the gentleman on the phone. The gentleman told my husband he needed to empty out the spa and refill it and see if that problem happens again so we did then after calling back again the man told my husband that he needed to send him an email of the issue that we were having and he would get back to us soon. After a week goes by we heard nothing. So I asked my husband to call him back and the gentleman told him that the part was on order and he would let us know when the part came in. After another week goes by, we still hear nothing no email no phone calls no nothing. So I proceeded to call customer service and the service man told me that my part was on backorder and he didn't know when it was going to come in but as soon as it did the tech would call us and set up an appointment he apologized that I was frustrated and he promised to get back to us as soon as he could. But yet another week goes by I called again and at this time he told me that the part should be here the next day and when it does come in that the tech guy will call us and set up an appointment My biggest complaint is customer service, there was no phone call no communication letting us know what was going on there was no letting us know anything we were basically stuck in the dark with a spa that doesn't work. We had to call ourselves to find out what was going on. I understand different situations but this was a little ridiculous not very happy with their customer service department. All we heard were excuses!!!!! A positive note: The tech called us the day he received the work order and called to set up an appointment with us. I'm very pleased to know that we still have people that care. read more

We have been wanting a spa for forever and finally decided to get one. We went to another spa dealer and were going to buy one from them, but then we saw and advertisement for a labor day sale an decided to go in. The sales guy, Kelly O'Toole was very knowledgeable and helpful. He didn't pressure us and showed us everything. He even allowed us to sit in some dry models, something the other dealer didn't do. We were really impressed with prices and the friendliness of the staff, so we bought one. They called me sooner than expected for delivery and we had it delivered today. The two guys who delivered the spa were absolutely amazing!! Better experience than I thought it would be and I am extremely happy. They were very friendly, courteous and really made sure we understood the chemicals controls and everything about it. This was by far the best experience I have had and I would highly recommend them for all your spa needs!! read more

We purchased our spa just over a year ago on a "info seeking" visit. The knowledge that Chuck has about spas is astounding. It's kind of overwhelming but he patiently explained all the bells and whistles that are possible and the different combos that are available. Before you know it...we purchased one. Well....we thought over the winter it would get alot of use--and it did...BUT what surprised me the most was the fact that we used it through the summer just as much. I love that the spas they carry are made in Las Vegas and can stand the weather in Arizona. We have had minor hiccups but they have been right out to tweak the problem and have always been a wealth of tips to help us preserve our spa... this has been the best way to relax and unwind after a long stressful day. I haven't seen my chiro in a year and a half. This was a major purchase but every time we sit in it....its worth every penny!!! Thank you spa world, you all know yr stuff and we are so happy with our spa!!! 10/29/2018 We are still enjoying our hot tub. Unfortunately had to take off a star as the service has seemed to drop off a bit. We ordered a part that had broken on our spa and after a month of not hearing back from them we had to call again and were told they must have lost the order. Luckily it was not a part that prevented us from using our hot tub. We reordered it again and did pick it up a few days later, but with no real apology for the mix up. read more

We have had our spa for a week now and couldnt be happier! Our experience from the beginning was the best! We searched the web read the reviews for a lot of the spas/comoanies that are close to us. Spa world grabbed my attention with their FAQ list on their website I learned so much. They are made in USA! The service is done through their own company not a third party! When we first walked in we were greeted right away and we were shown and explained each spa. I was surprised when our salesman Chuck told us we can bring in our suits and try out each spa. We were never offered that at any other spa place. He explained we are making an investment not just a purchase.The electrician that came out was very professional and friendly. Our delivery guys were amazing ad well. Sean the delivery man took his time explaining the functions of my spa as well as how to take care of it. I have health problems and ever since the spa was delivered last Tuesday I have been in it everyday atleast 4 times a day because of my pain. I highly recommend Spa world by Water Specialists!!! When our old bodies told my wife and I that it was time to stop traveling the world, we went to Spa World to see how much of our youth we could retain. Our sales gal, Kay, did a great job of walking us thru sizes and features and options. The movers who brought the tub in and gave us final instructions were very detailed and professional. Kay insisted that we add a couple of items encase our age advances ......the nicest is the hydraulic lift for the cover. A flick of the wrist and up it goes,...no tugging, no person on the other side....just simple and easy. Now when the children visit, we have to chase them out of the spa, so we can enjoy it. read more

We purchased an Artesian spa 3 months ago and have really not had any problem until today. We were told to check the spa at least once a week, which we did except when we were on vacation. Today, we checked the spa and found algae everywhere (gross!). After calling Spa World, we were told exactly what we needed to do. She walked us thru it step by step and never got upset with all our questions. It was refreshing to be able to ask things and not feel like you were being foolish. When I searched for a spa, I wanted one that was easy to care for and one that offered more than just sitting in a tub of circulating hot water. I went to Spa World and met with Kelly O'Toole. This guy knows the various hot tubs and understands all of their spa features as well. With his assistance, I selected a 7' X 7' Antigua model with 52 jets and 5 amazing seats. It was installed on Dec 20, 2016, and I have been relaxing in this gem almost everyday since then. It rocks! Purchasing this spa was easy. The installation went well, and whenever I call Spa World for advice on using some of the features or advice on maintaining the tub, I receive answers to my questions regardless of who answers the phone. I bought my first spa from these guys a few years back! I have had much enjoyment out of my spa. Family and friends enjoy it immensely every time they come to my house! Chuck was very helpful, when I went in to ask questions about upgrading recently. Ralph, the owner, and Toni have always been very helpful, knowledgeable and hands on through out the years for any kind of warranty situations, or maintenance problems. If I can't fix something they give me the number of a service tech who is always very friendly and helpful! We purchased an ECO-4 SPA from Spa World last year at the Home and Garden show at UOP stadium in March 2015 and had it installed June 1, 2015. When we bought it, they touted all the benefits of the ECO spas. About a month ago, ours quit heating and the jets did not work. I called twice and left voice mails asking for a return call. Nothing. When I called for the third time I finally got someone. This was the first time I got the run around that things have been so busy and they were just getting ready to call me. I was told the message was passed on to service and they would be calling me. Of course I didn't hear a word, so after a couple of days I called again and talked to Service. They were helpful on the phone, but told me they would have to contact ECO-SPA to see what to do. Again, no call back. After a couple of days I called and left another message. Surprise, surprise, still no response. I finally found ECO SPA on the internet and they were extremely helpful. They told me Spa World was no longer a distributor for them. The service rep from ECO SPA on the phone was with me for 1/2 hour troubleshooting and finally decided that the pump gave up the ghost. They sent me a new pump and the serviceman they designated is due here today to install it. Spa World sales staff was friendly at the sale, but their customer service and service department after the sale is non-existent. I would never purchase anything else from this place. read more

customer service stinks***i bought my pool in tucson, az and they have gone out of busniss (wonder why). i called the phoenix office for some help with our warrenty!!! wrong, all the employee kept telling me is that for 7 years we have been doing it wrong and nothing is covered under warrenty. it's real funny because the chlorine tablets and the floater for the pool was sold to us by spa world when we bought our pool 7 years ago and he was telling me we were doing it wrong. he was very rude and offered no help at all. i will never us "spa world" again. mj read more

If I could leave no stars, I would. The customer service here is horrific! I ordered a hot tub cover by placing my order online as they refuse to take an order over the phone. This is because they want no liability for the order details...it is completely on you, the customer and if you make a mistake, they will point the finger firmly at you. If you choose to do business with Spa World, I suggest triple checking your entries and taking a screenshot of your order BEFORE you hit the submit button as you will NOT receive a confirmation page with your order details nor will you receive an e-mail copy of your order...either of which would provide you with a receipt and allow you to check the accuracy of your order form inputs (if you "fat finger" an entry or accidentally put the wrong thing, YOU will be blamed and YOU will have no receipt on hand as back-up for what you entered, nor will you have the opportunity to review what you entered so that you may catch an entry error and attempt to remedy). After not receiving either, I had to go into the store (I suppose I could have called also) in order to get confirmation that they even received my order. When I received my cover, it was 1" too short on both dimensions and like I stated above, they place the blame firmly on me, the customer, saying that I entered the incorrect information (funny how at this time they can produce a copy of the order and send to you via e-mail as confirmation that you, the customer, are WRONG!). I am a human and I am fallible, so I am not discounting the possibility that I entered the dimensions incorrectly. What rubs me the wrong way is that they refuse to do ANYTHING to try to make it right for me, especially as I never received a confirmation of my order where I could have seen the incorrect measurements that were entered and called to tell them the correct ones before the cover was put into production. I was told that I can order another one (please note that no discount was EVER mentioned) and they would be happy to make it! I was also told that I would receive a call from the owner to discuss my order, per my request, and as of the time of writing this review, it has been seventeen (17) days and the owner of Spa World has still not called me as was promised by their Sales team (despite my several calls to the store and also showing up there again a week ago; I have been told "I understand that you're frustrated, but I can't make the owner call you"). The purpose of reviews is to inform others of your experience and I assure you that this post reflects accurately my experience with Spa World. As such, please use my review to help you decide if you want to do business with a company that insists the customer is always wrong and that gets defensive in their responses (reminiscent of the now defunct Amy's Baking Company in Scottsdale). Rather than trying to make it right, as MANY other companies that value their customers will do, even if the customer is clearly in the wrong, they will get defensive and blame you, the customer. On a positive note, I will say that the cover I received seemed very well made and of superb quality and was received in just 7 days, so the quality of their work seems to be good...my review is based solely upon their customer service, or lack thereof. Friendly sales staff that dazzle you with their brilliance. They then gouged us with setup and service when the damn thing would not work after spending 10K. Had crap floating on the surface which turned out to be filter material from factory filters. Had to get that figured on my own with Artesian Spas. the products seem to be good... the staff with information about how to take care of your pool/spa really, really not good... one day you're told one thing by a staff member and the next time another tells you no, you should have done this... and so it goes around in a circle... now i have average intelligence but have never had a spa or pool before so all this is new to me..... i thought i could rely on info given to me by the "professionals".. i found that i could not.... i had a question and i actually received 3 different answers from 3 different sales people.. not just once but every time i needed info! ..gee, which answer do i go with? ,, who knows.. .. i have never felt so frustrated in trying to obtain clear info as i have dealing with this group... i really mean it ... they truly need to get it together.... read more

I read through some of the responses, and I see some of their points. The spa was delivered perfect, put exactly in spot and works great. However, the helpfulness of the staff on chemical setup and how to run the thing was inconsistent at best. I learned more from a local pool supply. You do get multiple answers from multiple people at spa world. The sales person (Jerry) was wonderful to deal with in all aspects of this process both through the phone and email. However, I called in and had contact with another sales person, who was quite blunt - not quite rude - but certainly not helpful (Chuck). After several months of ownership, and after several calls to Chuck, I found it easier to either work with the manufacturer directly, or through their support line at Spa World. Again, this was just to get basic questions answered. I'm sure Chuck means well, however, if he was my sales rep I'm sure I would not have bought a spa from Spa world. In short - the spa is working fine, I have talked to their support and they have been nothing but helpful - so I would buy from Spa World again, and would recommend Jerry. read more

I purchased a south seas spa model 748L from this company last year and Im pretty happy with the spa overall (check out my you tube review). I will NOT however do business with Az spa world ever again. They are liars and have the poorest customer service ive ever experienced. To sum things up quickly the radio kept acting up and sometimes wouldn't even turn on so I called their service number 3 times and always had to leave a voice mail and nobody ever called me back so I finally just called the regular store phone number and talked to chuck (I believe) and he informed me he is the store manager. I explained the problem and he said I need to call the service number one more time and he will make sure someone returns my call (all these calls were made within the radios warranty time). Nobody ever called me back.. SHOCKING right? So finally I called the store and talked to chuck again and told him what was up and he told me he's scheduled the service guy to come out on the next saturday. Saturday rolls around and guess what??? Thats right nobody showed up.. all day long... nobody. So I called the store on monday and talked to my ol buddy chuck again and he said.. " oh he was supposed to show up but all the service techs are in las vegas now for training so when they get back they will contact me. At this point I asked Chuck if they were their own in house guys or if they sub contract the repairs out and he specifically said .." oh they are our guys for sure" (Im a contractor as well so I asked this question because I doubted they were his guys.) I said ok ill wait for the call when they get back in town. About 15 minutes later the service guy called me and said sorry I didn't make it out last saturday can I come out right now? I said how are you going to come out now if you are in las vegas in training? He was dumbfounded ... couldn't even think of anything intelligent to say. He mumbled something about he came back early or something. I said yeah whatever come on out ill wait for you. He shows up in HIS company vehicle. NOT AZ SPA WORLD! So in fact he is sub contracted. He cleaned a bunch of corrosion out of the plug in the back of the radio and said its working fine. And it did indeed work after he cleaned it. As he was cleaning up his tools he informed me that the radio was now out of warranty so he has to charge me a $50 fee for coming out. After laughing out loud in his face he knew he messed up so he said "I will waive that fee since I missed our original appointment" . He left ... About a week later the radio started acting up again. Once again I called the service line and left a message and its been about 4 months and still no reply. Ill just fix it myself. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

Recently my husband and I stopped by SPA World just to look at above ground pools. We hadn't considered a spa until we walked through the show room. After meeting with Chuck and the staff we had a decision to make. We bought a "used" spa and have had so much enjoyment from it. Chuck made the transactions very easy, especially when I contacted him several times about electrical needs and general questions. He arranged everything from purchase, delivery, set up, chemicals and training on how to use the spa. Our spa came with stairs as well as a brand new cover and cover lift. The day the spa was delivered, the guys were so attentive to my needs of where I wanted the spa and which direction to set it up. They were so precise and wanted and did make me very happy. We are delighted with our purchase and have used our spa almost everyday since we got it in July. I highly recommend SPA World to anyone looking to purchase a spa or even if you didn't know you wanted one. Chuck will even let you get in the spa and try it out! read more

- 5 stars Thought I was going to a professional, my mistake for going to Spa World. DON"T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. It would have been cheaper to put an in ground pool in. They do no stand behind anything. You pay them and then everything is directed to the manufacturer. Even for directions on how to put everything together. They take NO responsibility for anything they sell. They sell non working equipment and tell you oh non refundable - call the manufacturer. I would not by anything from them again. Lack of customer service and most of all not making things right after spending loads of money. On top of that singing the blues about running your debit card as credit. "It helps me out if you don't run it as credit" I won't get caugt by that one again. If I would have ran it on my debit card as credit I would have had some protection. I feel like I have been scammed. When you help someone out by saving them 3% on 5000 you woudl think, you could return or exchange a 100 item since it didn't work in the first place. As far as I know, all this equipment that I was told was new is used - Pump skid not crated, loose plumping pieces and taped boxes. Tuff pools did not stand behind their product. Sent e-mail to them and no response. Now I get to deal with another manufacturer becasue of a defective light. read more

I purchased an artesian spa last November at the Phoenix Home and Garden Show. I went around to all of the different vendors, but I felt the most confident with Spa World. I spoke with Kayleah for a very long time and asked her many questions which she was happy to answer. She was extremely knowledgeable and explained how the internal component of the system functioned and why the details of the design make some spas a better choice than others. It is so overwhelming trying to decide between all the different makes and models and she really helped me to weed out which one would be the best choice for me. I went with the Artesian because of this and have been extremely satisfied with it! When I had issues with water quality (which were entirely my fault!), I called and once again, Kayleah took me through the steps I needed to take to remedy the problem. She was extremely patient and really took a lot of her time in order to make sure that I understood what I needed to do and how to do it the best way. I feel like this is a good old fashioned family company that still believes in customer satisfaction and takes pride in their products. I wish there were more companies like this out there. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to get a really good quality spa and have great customer support to follow up after the sale! read more
