This was not a pleasant experience. I have been to countless places in the city for years for massages and this was certainly the worst one yet. I usually prefer not to have a male masseur but as that was the only option at the time, I decided why not. I will never make that mistake again. This man was very aggressive and rapid, as if he was late for something and had some place else to be. He was not listening to the tension in my body at all and just dug into my back with excessive force. He was strong, yes, but never took the time to actually work out my knots and in fact made them worse. In addition, there was a moment when he asked me to hang my arms over the table, and after a moment of more back pounding, he kind of pushed his junk into my hand. Accident? Maybe, but the entire thing made me incredibly uncomfortable and unable to relax. Now, I've had male masseur's before, and I certainly don't remember that being a common occurrence. And LASTLY, he spent entirely too much time on my butt. From the massage itself, he went over it again and again. Or, it was time to straighten out the towel, he would place his hand directly on my ass while he used the other arm. Is that necessary? Also, he would place his hands at the small of my back and just shake my body, for what? To relax my muscles or just see my bottom jiggle, because I've never had anyone shake my body during a massage. Maybe it was a fluke, but I have NEVER had a massage as terrible and offensive as this one. Ladies, please be wary of this place, I wouldn't trust it unless you have a women. And lastly, the day after I am left feeling sore with a sore neck. Spend your money someplace else. read more

Last Saturday around 2am me and my girlfriend decided to get a massage after our late night meal. We decided to try this 24 hour spa32 and boy were we surprised and elated. Our dogs were barking after a few days of nonstop walking to touristy spots from upper to lower Manhattan & every where in between. We did a yelp search to find something after visiting 5th Ave and Empire State Bldg...enter Spa32 I. Koreatown. The location was somewhat difficult to find, sign outside was up & not at street level. It was little confusing that you have to enter the 1st floor store, go down a hall, up a small service elevator to reach Spa32. Truth be told, we wondered what we were getting ourselves into. Once inside, the spa staff was welcoming, and the space clean, & calming. Though we were prepared to make an appt and come back after dinner and more walking, we were lucky they had staffing available for us as walk ins right then. The pricing was on par with what we pay at home. The chairs, lighting, and space were so relaxing. We asked for 30 min reflexology, but after 15 min our masseuses were so wonderful, that we asked to bump it to an hour. After checking with the office manager, they were able to accommodate. It was hard to stay awake. We left energized and ready to tackle the next few days of our sightseeing trip. We will return to Spa32 on our next trip to Manhattan. read more

The majority of the massage I received was conducted with a towel as a barrier, which was extremely irritating to my skin and not something I've experienced at other spas. It was not relaxing, nor was it worth the expense. The masseuse's technique felt rushed and uncomfortable when they did transition to actual contact with my skin. That isn't the way you should feel during a massage, and I was very disappointed by Spa32. I also noticed the materials used for guest services, such as the towels near the client's face, were ripped. Rooms are very small with a curtain diving you and the other person. They have a sliding door so each can enter and exit on there side. However other came in the room for supplies. The other person two separate people as I got in there for the end of one and the begging of the others where hit the curtain to get changed. They had to push the massage table back and forth and side to side to get around the bed so all you heard was tables sliding all over, Sometimes it felt like you were being rammed into the wall. It was 100 degrees outside my wife went to get her nails done so I went into escape the heat! The room was hotter!!!. Plus they had this big heavy towel covering you. I asked for the massage to be light pressure has I wanted to relax. I told her about 5 times lighter she went harder, I could not wait until the massage was over. I wanted to run out of the room. My fiancé and i usually get massages here and there spontaneously. Due to his work hours we had to find something that was 24 hours, so we found this place on yelp (pretty close to 34th street) we got there about 12:45AM or so... theres a parking garage right next door if you drive (we paid about 22 dollars for 3 hours ) we found the place and went upstairs the woman who greeted us was polite and we explained to her that we wanted a massage for a hour and a half which was 75 each .. so we said okay no problem.. (the hour was 50 dollars ) after we paid 150 plus.. the woman had the nerve to ask for a tip so my fiancé said he needs to get his massage first before he pays a tip... she smiled and said okay no problem.. the same woman who took the payment at the desk was the same woman who gave my fiancé the massage, she constantly stopped to answer the phone and to leave to tend to customers who were coming into the spa.. honestly she probably left about a good 5 times (mayand i found that very unprofessional.. how do you enjoy a relaxing massage if the masseuse keeps stopping every couple of minutes ? I personally feel like they should have someone at the desk who's strictly there to answer the phone and service incoming customers etc. so overall the massage was okay i felt as though the woman who gave me my massage focused too much on my lower back for long periods of time which became uncomfortable to me after awhile... all in all when we were done my fiancé tipped them 20 dolllars, usually we would tip 20 each but due to the one woman leaving constantly it wasn't that much of a pleasant experience.. they tried to tell us we had to pay 10 dollars more !! So us being the New Yorkers we are kindly exited stage left.. you guys are lucky to even get anything for the amount of interruptions that took place, i can see how tourists can be taken advantage of or people who simply know no better. We got the shoulder/neck massage for $15/15 minutes. The spa was located on the 3rd floor and was small but clean and quiet. The treatment was affordable but of high quality. The women gave us a soothing massage with lotion and a warm towel, which was very nice. It was perfect for relaxing after walking around all day. If you aren't comfortable with removing your shirt/bra, this massage is not for you. However, the women were professional and courteous, keeping us covered the whole time. Best massage that you're going to get for this price by far. To get to the spa it is 1 door that leads to the smallest elevator I've ever been in. Click on Floor 3 which is very clearly labeled and you're on your way. When they said it is deep tissue they're not lying. It was painful at times but when it was done I felt very refreshed. Decent massage, crappy business practices. I called ahead of time and the guy on the phone said $45 for one hour. I can get it cheaper in LA, but yeah, that's a good deal for Manhattan. The Korean lady who massaged me was pretty good but a little rough, and didn't understand me when I told her I had an injury. The face cradle was also kind of uncomfortable, it was just a hole in the table with a face pillow on top of it. Afterward, I gave the guy at the front desk my credit card, and he said it would cost $49. I said he told me on the phone it was $45. He said, "that's for cash." I said, "then you should have made that clear when I called." I asked if I could add the tip to my card and he said yes. I wanted to give 18 percent tip ($8 - based on the quoted price of $45). He told me the minimum tip was $10. I said, there is no such thing as a minimum tip, a tip is OPTIONAL. I told him that I would pay for the massage and go get cash for the tip. He wanted me to use their in-house ATM which charges high fees. I said no, I will go to my bank. He then started harassing me, saying, "how do I know if you'll come back?" I was indeed planning to come back, but he gave me such a hard time and made me feel so uncomfortable and ripped off that I decided when I left that I would not indeed come back. Literally just left spa32. My only complaint is that I've lived in NYC for 13 years and I JUST found out about this place. It's simply fantastic. Ci-Ci was my massage angel, and it may have been the best massage of my life. I was in a lot of pain after a few grueling nights at work, and as I sit in the subway station writing this, I am pain free. It's a Chinese spot located in Korea town. There are many Korean Spas here though. This just so happens to be a Chinese one and it's great. Having only 30m before catching a bus to JFK, It was a cool refuge in the humid hot new york heat: My eyes & nose were soothed by the cleanliness of the place, my body was cooled by the lovely AC, & i was greeted by a super friendly lovely woman at the desk. I often dont demand certain things but my hips & lower back were killing me & so I used googletranslate to ask in Chinese "Can you focus on my hips& use your elbows?" It was great.
