Late order pick up by 45 minutes. Could have made the food myself in the time I waited.

food and service was extremely mid and the atmosphere reeked of chlorine and tomatoes for some reason.

An interesting feature is the interior waiting/overflow area - when you enter, you'll immediately come across a room independent from the main dining room with a full bar and a few seats. We really appreciated this feature as we were able to peruse the drink menu, chat, and feel taken care of before our table was ready. In the event the restaurant is slammed, you can also have dinner in this area. Moving to the main dining room, we were pleased to see a bright, elegant atmosphere with varying table sizes to suit a variety of party sizes. A white tablecloth with high-end dinnerware was complemented by the ornate ceiling to elevate the visual appeal of the space, making it feel very upscale. The general manager introduced himself and informed us of the specials, and also made sure we knew that he could be of help if there was any beverage we didn't see on the menu. The bottles he was recommending were around the $100 mark - certainly out of our budget, but I'm sure there are many folks who will appreciate the variety of offerings. The dinner menu offered a wide gamut of options, from pastas, to steaks and seafood. I ordered the chicken piccata, and I'm happy to say it was the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Other members of our group raved about the arancini, the pork chops, and filets. Our whole party of 8 was very pleased with the food, speed, and atmosphere. I hope to be back to this wonderful restaurant soon!

The only good part of our visit then was our waitress and the food. Due to weather we ended up here tonight. The bartender was the best part of our night. Lynn was fantastic. Friendly. Professional. We discovered she had also been our waitress five years ago too. Now to the food today. The worst prawns I have ever had. Over done, dry and tough not to mention so small. They offered to substitute a small prime rib for the prawns because it could be ready faster. A bit dry but edible.

It has tons of options pasta salad, build your own salad, tons of toppings. At the end they have a handful of homemade salad dressings and they each are delicious. The soups? It was a beef and barely and a cream of mushroom that day. I will be dreaming of this cream of mushroom soup until i come back next time. It was heavenly. They also have tons of crackers and homemade buns and rolls to go with your soup! For my entree i got the cheeseburger... i won't lie i was completely underwhelmed first bite. It was SO salty i could not eat it. The fries were good. My husband got the prime rib which didn't look the best when they brought it out but he said it was amazing!! Kiddie cocktails in wisco you just can't go wrong. Service was okay. There is NO kid menu just an FYI. They did bring our son a coloring book and crayons which was nice. The decor is so cute and all newly renovated. I cannot wait to come back and eat at that delicious salad bar!

While not as chic as a fine dining establishment in a metropolitan area like Milwaukee, Madison, Chicago or New York, it's as classy as it gets north of highway eight. We made a reservation for a Saturday evening - they could have accommodated us as walk-ins (and walk-ins are welcome) but I'd err on calling for a reservation and securing a table, especially on a popular day of the week. With a reservation we were promptly seated and waited on. I started with a dry martini and my wife picked a wine from a pretty decent wine list. It was a great martini--see my photos. Many of the items on the menu are what one would expect, but there were a few that piqued my interest, in particular the schnitzel. As a frequent visitor to the Austrian Tirol and Bavaria, I had to give it a try. My wife opted for salmon. The entrees included soup or salad. I went with lobster bisque and my wife went with chicken noodle soup. The bisque was rich and flavorful. Though the bread stick was out of a box as opposed to baked in house, it was an acceptable accompaniment to the soup. As for the entree, the schnitzel was prepared the way I like it--pan fried and not deep fried. With a properly breaded, seasoned and crispy crust, the pork itself was perfectly cooked. I could eat a schnitzel like this every day! The Spätzle was fine and the sauce tasted good but it was a little thin. The red cabbage was definitely sour but lacked the sweetness necessary to balance the acid. I'd suggest that the chef check out the red cabbage recipe from Alinea which has an excellent balance of sweet and sour. And one more suggestion to mimic the schnitzel I've had in the Tirol and Bavaria, a dollop of sweet jelly to spread on the cutlet--preferably a white wine jelly fortified with herbs like rosemary. That said, the dish was great and I would order it again. I only took a bite of my wife's entree, but the hollandaise and salmon was good. She especially liked the kale. To end the evening we shared a dessert. My wife makes a DG tiramisu and we've had some great tiramisu's in Italy. This one was right up there, though the espresso soaked lady fingers were a bit weak. Nevertheless, as you can see from my photo, we demolished it. A nice grappa or Tirolian schnapps would have been the perfect finale but alas the bar was not that well stocked. All in all a decent dinner, a place I will return to in the future, and a great addition to the culinary scene in the region.
