This is a tiny brewery tucked away in some random corner on Tybee Island and it's so easy to just pass it right by. But what a gem. I can't remember what everyone else got but I got something along the lines of Thai chicken with naan (maybe) but dang it was really delicious. You would think that a small brewery like this would have just your generic bar food - burgers, pizza, chicken wings, but it has more than that and it's elevated. It was just delicious. The service was good, quick and friendly, and it wasn't too loud or busy when we went. So if you're passing through Tybee Island, take the time to check this place out. It is worth it.

Let me say there were several issues during this visit. First, they didn't have a common beer available, claiming they ran out of Corona. Now it is a Friday night and you're going into the weekend without one of the most popular beers - just crazy. Next I ordered the Low Country Boil, well after a few minutes another person comes to me as says they have no potatoes for the meal and offered extra sausage to make up the meal. I accepted that. When my meal came out, the server now tells me they owe me 2 more pieces of corn and they would quickly bring that to me. Guess what - never got them. The two pieces I did get were cold - I mean not fully boiled/cooked. Icy cold inside. Now we were with several other couples and one couple had to ask for their drinks a second time. Fact is their meal came out before their first drinks. I have to also mention the men's rooms. I was clearly hadn't been checked or cleaned in a while. Now let's face it, it got screwed up due to nasty guests, but staff really need to check it every so often. Folks I visit Tybee twice a year and there are plenty of options on the island. I think the Zunibar has lost my future business, as well as the 3 other couples we were with. If you choose here you have been warned. I hope you have a better visit.

We were told that parties of our size were limited to a single check, so we accepted that and continued with our meal. However, when it came time to pay, we noticed another party of eight seated nearby, and each person at their table had an individual check. When I asked our server why - she simply repeated that the answer was no and offered no explanation. We then spoke with the owner, who also showed little interest in addressing the inconsistency. Rules are understandable--but they should be applied fairly and consistently. What left a bad impression wasn't the one-check policy itself, but the fact that it appeared to be enforced selectively, with no explanation. Based on our experience, it felt as though different customers were treated differently. That lack of consistency, combined with the dismissive response from both our server and the owner, was disappointing.
