Everything on the plate was packed with flavor, cooked perfectly, and you can genuinely tell there's care put into the food. This isn't your basic breakfast -- it's the kind of meal you're still thinking about later. But what made the experience even better was the people. The customer service was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuine from the moment I walked in. You immediately feel comfortable and taken care of. And I have to give a special shoutout to Rob, the chef the general manager, the bees knees...... he is AMAZING! Not only can that man COOK, but his personality and the pride he puts into what comes out of that kitchen made the experience even better. My Farmhouse was phenomenal -- and just LOOK at this plate! Absolute garbage and I guarantee if a food inspector dropped by, this place would be closed down. When we were seated (in a booth) my wife sat down and was cut with a nail that was sticking out of the bench seat. It really bled bad, told the waitress and she apologized but did nothing. The grill was so dirty that smoke was coming off of it with no food on it. I honestly could not taste the difference between my chicken and my hash browns. It's so hard to mess up breakfast but they did. Additionally, they had a five pound box of raw bacon sitting uncooked on the service counter that sat there the entire time we were there and still there an hour later as we walked by to go to the beach. When our meal was completed the waitress brought "the bill" to us. It wasn't our bill it was someone else's bill. Apparently they gave our bill to someone else so the waitress explained to us that to make the register balance, we had to pay some other random bill, I'm pretty sure we got ripped off. Lastly, I'm not even sure how the cooks did it but there was a raw broken egg on the floor by our table and when we pointed it out to our waitress she just shrugged and it was still on the floor when we left. read more

I was greatly disappointed. I was hoping for a unique classic breakfast diner and I got nothing close to that except the attitude and flat top grille. Service was horrible. Maybe got checked on once if we were lucky. Everything was greasy. Coffee terrible. I thought this was going to be Mel's Diner or for you younger folk- Two Broke Girls. Nothing like it. I was looking for a breakfast / brunch place closeby before going to Tybee Island beach. We got there around 10am and probably ended up waiting outside in the sun for about 45 minutes. We got the omlette Luigi and a waffle. The food was about average diner food. It gives 1960s rustic diner vibes. Service was fairly quick. It has a convenient location but long wait time. I'm seeing other reviews to get there by 8am. I might come back if there isn't a line but it isn't worth standing in line. read more

We came here for breakfast two different days during our stay on the island. It's the closest breakfast place within walking distance of our hotel. They do get quite busy in season and folks line up outside to wait for a table. Both days, however, we came early enough and did not have to wait, The key is to get there before 8 am. They have a wide menu with lots of egg choices, waffles, French toast, etc in combo with different meats etc. The first day we came we both had their two eggs with choice of meat special. We each ordered our eggs (mine are well done/his are soft). I got corned beef hash and he chose sausage. Both dishes came with a choice of toast (white, wheat, or Rye). We both got rye bread. And grits with butter. The breakfast was quite good. Portions are large. The second time I got a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich. He got two eggs no meat and it came with toast and grits. Even with the fees -- there was an egg surcharge, the first time, too -- and taxes, we still felt that their prices were reasonable. And the server was very good even though she was covering a lot of tables on her own. The place isn't fancy but they do have anything you could want breakfast wise. A couple next to us were having chicken fried steak with gravy and eggs and she was having an egg burrito. They also got sliced tomatoes instead of grits. Food was delicious, people were awesome and it was a funky environment. We enjoyed it all. We sat at the bar and got a front row seat to watch them cook. Very Disappointing Experience I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I witnessed an older woman and what I assume was her son walk into the establishment. There was no line outside, yet a gentleman dismissively told them to go outside and wait. They were understandably caught off guard because there was no visible line or indication of where they were supposed to wait. What made the situation even more frustrating is that customers are apparently expected to wait outside, but no names are taken and there is no system for reserving your place in line. It essentially becomes a free-for-all, with no clear way of knowing who arrived first. After witnessing how they were treated, I decided to take my business elsewhere. I understand having policies and procedures, but there is a respectful way to communicate them to customers. Unfortunately, the interaction I witnessed came across as extremely rude and dismissive. As someone who has worked in customer service for 13 years, I understand that everyone has difficult days. However, having a bad day is never an excuse to take it out on customers. Professionalism and basic courtesy should be the standard. The way we were spoken to left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. It was disappointing to see a business operate this way, especially when hospitality and customer experience should be a priority. This place was an awful experience for our family vacation. The only somewhat decent part of the experience was the mediocre food you could find at any diner in the US, and the engaging playlist. However the music was blasting throughout the restaurant to the point where I wondered if the cute old couple in the corner could actually hear themselves speak. The service and organization of this establishment was the most chaotic scene I've seen in my life. I worked in restaurants for many years from a host, to a server, to lead bartender, and I know the difference between being understaffed and extremely busy and simply people not knowing how to run a restaurant. The host would quote a wait time but not take your name to document the order of customers. They would direct you to go outside with the others waiting for a table. Then they would come out and ask who was there first. Then once we sat at a table, the server did get our drink order within 5 minutes of being seating. However, a table behind us was sat and had their order taken by the same server before ours. It took 30 mins to have her come back and take our order. While we ate our food I notice a different table to the side of us who was sitting well before us, and the same server had to come over and apologized that their food was accidentally taken to a different table. They did offer to discount their order. The water had the strongest sulfur taste I had ever experienced from a restaurant. Originally I gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was probably safe. Until I saw the safety inspection review below. While all of this was unpleasant the worst was saved for last. We asked for the bill and she brought over the mobile POS. The automated tip percentages were set to 25%, 30%, 35%, and 40%. This was completely absurd and comical. Needless to say, we will not be going back. Eggs are good but wasn't cooked exactly how I asked, grits are good, toast is toast anywhere, my sons waffle looked decent. We had a few other things that wasn't awful as well. When we first sat down, the booth had an odd smell and the booth was barely hanging on. We watched one server pile plates on top of each other to serve to with food on them. So some food was touching the bottom plate of the other food. We watched one of the cooks pour a jack and coke while he was waiting to cook more food. I got the French toast and sausage. The toast was fine but the sausage was gross. Even if you're desperate, don't go to this place. I'm so disappointed with this visit. I'm not sure what has changed, as I have eaten here 2 times over the last few years. This visit I ordered the pecan waffle and my mother ordered the French Fingers, both with bacon. We received our food basically on small plates. The waffle was ok but the bacon was firm and tasted like it was just reheated from day(s) before. It was not crispy as freshly fried bacon should be. I was so very disappointed. The waitress was efficient and the guy that picked up our plates asked how was everything. When I said, "just ok". I sent half of my waffle and 3 pieces of bacon back. When I asked the waitress, she said they must be out of diced and used shredded. The windjammer had generous portions of hash browns, but it was bland. The homemade sausage was just "good."
