The menu had so many great options, I definitely need to go back to try a few things!! We ordered the spinach dip with chips, friend catfish platter, the New Orleans catfish, the chicken wrap, cajundilla, and the bread pudding. There were absolutely NO complaints!! Everything was so flavorful and cooked to perfection! Our waitress was very polite and professional. She answered all of our questions as best she could and if she didn't know she went to ask. I appreciate the chef for allowing me to sample the crawfish etouffè because I never had it before and wasn't sure if it was something I'd like and it was offered on many of the dishes, it was pretty good. The restaurant was not very crowded, I guess we missed the lunch rush and the students are all packing up to end the school year anyway. It was very clean and lots of sports events to choose to watch, including lacrosse and golf. I'd definitely go back!!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming which was nice considering how chaotic it was. Our server was nice, brought waters, drinks and took our orders promptly. The food was ok. I ordered a cup of gumbo and it was a little cold, definitely not hot. The quesadilla (with red beans and rice) was good. Beans and Rice were meh - dry. My friends really liked the mozzarella sticks. The boneless wings looked good but I didn't try any. Would I come back? Yes - if I go to another LSU game, but that'd probably be the only reason. Again, the service and atmosphere was good. The food was good.

I was served a "large" gumbo, and I don't even want to know how small the lesser size serving might be. The Dungeness crab leg thrown into the gumbo was a nice touch -- something to crack it open so you can eat it would have been a really nice touch, too. They didn't have a nut cracker or anything, so I guess that crab leg was decorative? I ordered a house salad, and by dictionary definition I guess it was a salad. It had three ingredients: wilted iceberg lettuce, croutons, and a couple of fridge-aged cherry tomatoes of the flavorless variety. Bet the profit margin on that salad is HUGE! I don't go out to dinner because I want to heap more profit on someone's margins -- I want good food. I can't say enough about the great staff at this restaurant, and I truly mean that.. They're friendly, hard working and they really make you feel special as a customer. The service is nothing less than excellent, and I know what to look for in this regard -- you may have seen my long history of reviews on Yelp. I bet even the staff is bothered by the odor of urine wafting through the restaurant from the men's room. I certainly was. Bottom line: this place could be world-class if it had new management. Let's hope that happens soon.

But the showstopper was the Fish Chalmette with speckled trout. Phenomenal dish. Perfectly prepared fish with an incredible crawfish cream sauce that made every bite better than the last. I chose the New Orleans Style Garlic Butter & Spinach & Artichoke Chargrilled Oysters and they did not disappoint! The grilled bread was the amazing lagniappe. I also ordered the Shrimp & Artichoke Dip and it was served piping hot with homemade house fried tortilla chips. I devoured it and loved every bite. Last, but not least I enjoyed the Crawfish Spoonbread. It is a must-try! The restaurant is noisy so if you are looking for a quaint and quiet spot this is not for you. Casual atmosphere. I will definitely be back when I am in Baton Rouge.

I had not been in some time, my last few experiences were filled with drunk kids at the bar and I figured it was a place I was too old for. But recently, I went in after work to meet with some friends, and the place certainly had a glow-up. They have a decent wine selection, and the cocktails were on point. The bar is clean and I like the different levels. The lushly decorated outdoor area is comfortable and a nice way to relax and enjoy conversation. And everyone who worked there was helpful and engaging. We also attended a Galentines Day event recently, and that was a great way to expose new people and those who had been away to the location. Delicious catering items were spread throughout the space. While I likely will avoid any large scale events there, it is nice option for grabbing a drink after work or attending a special event. Of course a note about parking.... because the area is separated by a fence, it is a little dicey. You can park in the lot on the other side of the fence and walk around, or you can drive to the back behind the building. Please be aware of your surroundings if doing so as it is pretty remote back there.

When I walked in the atmosphere was a bit boring..... anyone could basically go behind the bar and drink if you knew the managers. NEARLY EVERYONE who was serving me was underage, one girl even told me she had just turned 21... I was a bit uncomfortable with that. The drinks are overpriced... What bar doesn't serve Titos? The worst part about it every time i went in the bathroom most of the employees would be sniffing drugs.. like what type of bar are you guys running ? This bar needs to be shut down.... Let me update my review since it's being misconstrued and talked about . This review has NOTHING to do with anyone that worked at this bar. I've worked in a bar 12+ plus years ! I know how old you have to be to serve and yes that's correct it's 18 . Drinking and serving underage is highly illegal and I saw both of those things . Along with the drugs in the bathroom . My review still stands and no it's not biased . It's a great atmosphere but it needs to be ran the correct way .
