The owner Fred is very involved and he takes care of things when needed. It is July in Arizona - 112 degrees outside, the AC went down and no company wants to come on short notice as they are all busy. I had to move my family to a hotel, which was not a great option because it's during the COVID-19 pandemic. I found another company, which sent someone the same day. However, their representative (with 15 years of experience) did horrible job and made my AC even worse (intentionally or not). He charged me a very high price as well. Then, he tried to solve the problem, which he created by pushing for a replacement of the whole unit... Then, I called Sparkle Air at 6:30pm not expecting anyone to pick up the phone. Fred did pick it up though. And he promised he will try to stop by in the morning. He was here with one of his technicians at 7:30am and fixed everything quickly. Fred was very upset to see the damage, which the other company had done and how it was endangering the life of my AC. Sparkle Air is a company I would highly recommend. Our air conditioner suddenly stopped working over night. My husband immediately put in an online claim with our home warranty. They notified us that our appointment wouldn't be until 2 days later. I had just had surgery and was laid up in bed with no where to go, except to be confined to a hot room. Our home warranty rep told us that we should call Sparkle Air directly and see what they could do for us. We called Sparkle Air, hoping they could help us sooner. The owner, Fred, was understanding, had compassion, and sent a technician over the same day. The technician, Max, also provided great customer service. The motor had blown out and had to be ordered. At first we were worried waiting for the part could mean being without air for another day, but Sparkle Air assured us that they would have the part for us within the hour. One hour later, Max received the part, and had our air conditioner up and running. I was referred by a coworker after I woke up to my bedroom being 94 degrees after my AC stopped blowing cold. I called Fred at 7 am and he had a guy at my place by 7:30. He immediately got to work and was friendly. Before I knew it, he had told me it was fixed and he was ready to head out (after I thought I'd have to get an entire new unit). The only thing I would say could have been improved was the communication during the service. I thought I was just getting an estimate and was (pleasantly) surprised when he told me he was done and it was fixed. He told me Fred would contact me for payment later in the day. I had no idea how much the repair would cost as I didn't even have a quote. Turned out to be fine, Fred gave an incredible deal but I had no idea how much it was going to run me while I was waiting for him to contact me which left me a little worried. More upfront communication about price/quotes and what's going on is the only thing I'd want to see improved. The rest of the service was more than you could hope. Our Air Conditioning stopped working on the first day that it hit 100 degrees in Phoenix. It was extremely warm inside our house and my husband and I are elderly, and my husbands is a 100% disabled VET. So he can't take the heat at all. We have a home warranty and legally, Fred and Team have 48 hours to respond to an appointment. I called Fred and told him our circumstance and he rescheduled his team and they were at our house in less than 3 hours and because I told him the problem -- they knew what they suspected and actually had the parts in the truck and was able to fix our unit and get us up and running. Fred also followed up with me the same day to make sure it was still working and again this afternoon to see if everything was still working. He said if anything happens again -- to just call his cell phone. Now that is service and good customer relationship. Many folks because they get less money for Warranty calls -- don't always give the same customer services -- not the case with Sparkle Air. We were in the middle of moving in to our house this weekend when I heard a weird high pitched noise in the backyard. I went to go check it out and it was coming from the main A/C for our house. The fan wasn't moving AT ALL. It was 106 degrees outside and we had no A/C. We called our home warranty company. Because it was the weekend, it was possible that we were going to have to wait until Monday to get service. Instead, in spite of the fact that it was a Sunday afternoon, someone from Sparkle Air volunteered to come out to see if they could fix it. Sure enough, it was a bad capacitor. He had one in this van. He replaced it and we were able to cool down the house from 99 degrees to 76 degrees in a little over an hour. The tech was friendly and informative. He took the call because he was worried about a family being without A/C in this weather. His daughter, a college student, was with him because they were doing stuff together that day. Called for a preventative maintenance call as summer is starting soon. Two guys showed up and began checking out my outside fan and blower in the attic. I tend to be very hands on when people come over to work on my house and the folks were certainly open to discussing the technical side of some of their diagnostics. They found a few issues such as a capacitor that was swelling (good old electrolytic capacitor plague) and was out of tolerance. They also found the defroster was wired incorrectly off of the relay outside. During all of this they showed me why it was incorrect and read values off of a DMM verifying expected outputs. This was great because it helped prove to me that they were actually fixing issues vs. trying to make phantom issues. It also demonstrated that they were competent in their trade. At my request I had them reconfigure the common wire so I could install my new smart thermostat. This was free of charge. Overall I was very pleased with my service. The bill was also very low and I can say the same service would have cost several hundred more at other HVAC companies. Highly recommend. read more

I have been using Sparkle Air for all of my air conditioning needs. We moved into a house that still had the original air handler and heat pump units that required constant repair. We had a Home Warranty program that was always hard to work with and they kept wanting to fix instead of replace the unit. After having one of their contractors here for a blower failure and getting no help from them (it was 115 degrees that day), they were saying they could not get a replacement for 4 days because of Covid. I kicked them out of my house, called Sparkle Air who had been to my house several times before and never let me down. They had a blower ('Squirrel cage') in stock and were at my house within an hour and had the unit up and running. Needless to say, I am not a big fan of home warranty companies and dropped them immediately after trying to recoup the money for the cage replacement. I was connected with Sparkle Air through my home warranty company in July 2021- Sparkle Air was very cooperative and accommodating during the hot season during a miserable time for the AC to go out. I was so happy with their service I made a point to hang onto the business card fridge magnet- and thank God - because last week my AC started making a strange sound like there was a horror movie scene transpiring in my attic and (completely unrelated to what they had previously fixed last year). I have a home warranty company they referred me to Sparkle Air, My AC was not blowing cool air and it was over 90 degrees in my home, Prior to scheduling the appointment, they asked me if I had a place to stay until they arrived due to the temperature. They came first thing in the morning the very next day. They were kind, courteous and very pleasant to work with. The next morning a few technicians showed up right on time! They fully evaluated my unit and explained the issue. The technician Max, not only explained the issues and concerns with the unit, he found the root of the problem. I honestly cannot say enough about Fred and Sparkle Air. Our air was out and after going through a few companies from our home warranty that couldn't service zone air conditioning, Fred was called. It was a Saturday and because of summer, he was extremely busy. But knowing we had no air for a few days, he ordered the part needed and sent his technician out on Sunday. Our central A/C is approaching 15-years old. With the hot temperatures soon to be upon us, we thought it would be good to have our unit checked out. We previously had been led to believe that we had a small leak, too small to detect, and perhaps a bit of freon may be required. Max came over and checked out the unit. When I say checked out the unit, I mean he left no stone unturned. Max explained everything that he was doing using all the numbers he was expecting to see using the various pressure gauges and meters. What really impressed me is that he told me the numbers that would indicate a system in tolerance before he actually performed the check. Anyone else could have taken some readings and then said, "yeah, these check out" or "no, not in tolerance" and I would have been none the wiser. My home warranty company (finally!) approved the purchase of a new A/C unit and Sparkle Air installed it. Fred actually caught the fact that they had ordered the wrong size A/C (twice) and made sure I received the correct one. The installation went very smooth, however, when it started up, something made a weird noise in the air ducts. Apparently, duct tape had come loose and was flapping wildly somewhere in there. I thought I wouldn't be able to sleep at night having with all that ruckus. Fred's Tech, Carlos, and Fred came back to my house after hours to try to find the source of the problem and Carlos did! No more flapping noise! They could have walked away saying that this was not covered by the warranty but Carlos found and fixed the problem. I met him through my home warranty company where he performed excellent service 3 times on the same unit ( different issues, they always come in threes) but he always showed up within 24 hours, basically early next morning after asking for service late the day before! Kinda very important in the summer heat, after 1 night of suffering, Thank you Fred ! And when I had an issue that the Home warranty didn't cover ( plugged drain lines) he still showed up within 12 hours, what a great service! And gave me a good price as well! This summer's AC failures were quickly remedied and greatly appreciated for the fast service!
