I have a wedding today and couldn't do my own toes. I do my own hand and toe nails usually but I doesn't take a professional to see when something doesn't look nice. If I go to a salon I expect the quality to be professional grade! I had to tell my nail lady twice that my nails looked bumpy and she said it's because I didn't use gel. They kept pushing gel. If she noticed her nail polish wasn't great quality she should've tried a different one or asked me to pick another color. But she completed my nails and thought they looked good enough. She was nice so it's unfortunate when their work isn't of high quality. The owner also was saying I picked polish instead of gel as if only one can look nice. read more

My wife and I have been using Sparkle Nails for roughly three years. Jan has been using them for a while longer. I only get pedicures, Jan gets both pedicures and manicures. We always go on Saturday mornings at 10 when they open, and we have never had to wait. By 10:30 there is normally a line. They are very proficient, and I'm always satisfied, but I'm a novice when it comes to pedicures. I have no US comparrisons. Before Sparkles, my only other pedicures were in Thailand, twice, with my last one, resulting in a big toe cuticle cut that became infected. My next pedicure was at Sparkles, years later. Overall just poor service.... Pedicures are subpar. They cut my cuticles too short and cause me to bleed on 2 toes, the leg and foot massage lasted a whole 2-3 minutes, and the gel polish looked like crap. Also, don't ask for a basic manicure because they get mad you don't wanna upgrade even though I told them I can't have gel on my hands because I work in a hospital. NEVER AGAIN!!! I came in with them already pre clipped by myself with nothing on them and asked for just a polish change. I really like the thought of doing 5 different colors, they were very reasonable on the pricing for that as well as the gel itself. $20 for a gel polish change + $5 for the multiple different colors. I didn't really need an actual pedicure because I take care of my feet myself. She still buffed them nicely and cut my cuticles and evened out the actual nails. Had a great and relaxing experience here. Great pedicure with a really attentive and over the top great nail tech, Teresa. I had the $30 citrus pedicure with regular polish and loved every minute of it. She removed the callouses that my last nail tech said didn't need any work and gave my feet and legs a lovely massage. Nothing infuriates me more than being ignored. If you can't even muster a "Hello, I'll be with you in a minute" within 30 seconds of me walking in the door then I don't have any time for you. Nothing is more aggravating than walking into a business and having multiple employees walk past you and just ignore your existance. The area is close to downtown, so it's not too busy most times I come in but there is usually a wait because there's not a lot of techs working at the same time. I'd been coming off and on for the past few years and management has change since then, so the prices increases a bit but the amount of techs did not. I still come here because I like that you can get hot towel and scrub for pedicures which many people don't do without Uncharging. I love the way my feet look after big I would love a few more people here. At the moment I've been here 15 minutes and just waiting for a tech to finish other customers. I tried Sparkle Nails one time, a long time ago, for a mani and pedi. I just did polish at the time, not gel, not powder just as FYI. Anyways, I had started this review but did not finish it so here it is. Don't go. The end. I came in on a Friday afternoon. There were several others in the salon and they seemed that they were enjoying themselves, leaned back, sipping on wine. So I got excited and felt comfortable trying a new place out. They did not hurt me or cause any bleeding or infections of my cuticles as several others have reported as shown by other reviews and pictures. However, the quality of the finished product was very disappointing. I ended up having to spend more money and triple the time to fix it afterwards on my end as I had a last minute event to attend that evening. You go to a professional salon and expect work better than what your 10 year old self could do. Quite frustrating. read more

Sparkle Nails is my new go to after discovering my beloved staff from one of my former salons all work here now. So my experience with several of the staff dates back to 2013. This place gives you great service at great prices. I always get the basic pedicure and gel manicure, so I walk out for about $60 total. I actually tried to go to a couple others places one day that were just slightly more conveniently located but for multiple reasons still ended up back here which made me realize there's no need to try anywhere else. I went in at about 2pm on a Thursday and was able to get in immediately for a pedicure. The staff were friendly and helpful. I broke my nail and since I used to come in here all the time and because it's closer to my house I came here. The manager asked me if it was dip & I had to explain to him that it was gel over powder. He then had another man do It. The nail looks good, but when you look closer, there are several issues, such as loose cuticle caused by his grinder, polish on skin , etc. also, I totally felt rushed. I was not offered anything to drink, which I understand because fixing my nail is fairly inexpensive. But he and I had no conversation. In fact, the whole shop was quiet and not friendly. Let's say my nail technician didn't want to be there.. they were more focused on the football game that was playing behind me. They would stop mid way and watch the game. I'd be okay with it if I had a good paint job but he messed up three times. He left my big toe all jaggeddy looking and some light/dark spots and painted a top coat over it. So I asked him to repaint it...and he just couldn't get it right. My husband got a pedicure and NO PAINT JOB AND finished the same time I did!?! Where was my service and massage and whatever that was supposed to come with it? So no, I wouldn't come back to this nail salon. Sparkle Nails may not be as fancy and frilly as the newest trendy boutique nail salon, but Sparkle actually takes plebian walk-ins, and they have been perfectly satisfactory on the couple of visits I've popped in. Recently I wanted to treat my daughter for sitting through some lengthy admissions tests like a champ, and after enjoying some quality time in the massage chairs, we found our toes polished, sparkly, and bejeweled (she asked for a summery flower design on her big toes, and we both loved the finished work). Normally, I would give Sparkle three stars, but the special treatment my daughter received during our visit was quite welcome and distinct from the service we've gotten (at other businesses) the few other times we've gone in together for pedis. Tried something new today, gel powder for 35$ with a manicure. The first time she did them they were all very rough so she rebuffed them and applied a new top coat and they look great and are very strong. It 1.5 hours so I'm hoping they won't chip easily like regular gel. With practice they will hopefully get faster and I won't have to get my nails done once a week. I'll keep you guys updated! Update..... 1 week later my nails chipped and looked awful. I went to Hawaii nails to try their gel dip which was 40$ but they looked amazing and after 2 weeks are still shiny. They do good work here, but the reason why I haven't fully committed to them is because they're inconsistent with price and service. For this to be a "nail spa" some of the nail techs are impatient. TECH: Pick your color. ME: Ok. TECH: You pick your color yet? ME: .... I'm looking at them like, hold your horses, picking out a nail color that I'll have to live with for the next 2-3 weeks is NOT an easy decision, geez! I've been here a few times with varying experiences. The location is the reason why I keep going back. It's close to my work, and I can get my nails done while waiting for an event or for my friends to be available for dinner. I usually just get a gel manicure. It lasts for about 2 weeks before it starts to lift and my nails have grown too long. I haven't had any problems with them chipping too soon. I think they could make a few changes with customer service and the location would be a lot better. First, they yell across the room when you walk in to see what services you want. I didn't like that at all. While they have tv's, the sound is off. I'd like some music playing in the background. I do appreciate that they offer you something to drink. I hope they have a valid license to give free wine. I was shocked to be offered a free glass of wine at a nail salon, but maybe I'm just naive about it. Our liquor laws in Oklahoma are changing anyways! I tried to customize my pedicure once, and got virtually ignored. I really didn't want to be scrubbed, just have my cuticles trimmed and nails painted instead. On that day, it seemed like my nail tech didn't speak enough English to know what I meant. Went in for a full set of acrylics with gel polish and was crunches on time with only 1.5 hrs to get in and out - Danny did my nails and did a highly professional job, very thorough about checking to make sure my nails were the same length, the shape I wanted ect. He painted my nails with attention to detail making sure there wasn't the slightest mistake. AND he got me in and out in an hour, I had 30 mins to spare!!!! I'm always enticed by the thought of adding wine to any activity. So when I walked in and sat down, and someone asked me if I would like red or white wine to drink while waiting THEY HOOKED ME. I don't like bright colors, I like the nail shape to be a certain way, and I pay attention to everything!
