If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Signed up through Costco in August 2019 and I am cancelling 5 months later because I can't take it anymore. This company is the absolute WORST!!!!! Horrible customer service, inconsistent deliveries that did not line up with the calendar, inability to cancel online, inability to speak to anyone online, horrible, horrible, horrible company. Also, my father-in-law was visiting from Michigan in September and I was not home and Sparkletts came (unexpectedly) and asked if we had any empties, my father-in-law gave them my personal, expensive, BPA free water receptacles. When I called and spoke to a manager, they said they'd look into it and I never heard another word from them about it ever again. I've called and complained numerous times, every time they just apathetically apologize, but there is nothing that ever improves, nothing ever gets fixed and they always make excuses about being short staffed. Unbelievable! Been a customer for more than 20 years (this matters not to them). Had a bottle with a very small hole in it, leak onto my hardwood floors for over a week. Once I noticed it, the floor was warped. Oh, they responded quickly to replace the bottle, but told me that they were not responsible for the damage to the floor since I was the one that moved the bottles inside. They wouldn't even send someone to look at the damage. Last week, we received a bottle delivery and inside one of the sealed bottles is a branch off of a pine tree! Yes, inside the bottle! I have called several times, spoken with several "customer service" folks, all promising immediate calls back from management. Not one call back! Makes you kind of wonder what kind of quality control Sparkletts has! If a piece of a tree doesn't get detected while they are filling bottles, what else could possibly be in the water?! Why didn't I check Yelp before starting services with Sparkletts a year ago??? Everyone on here couldn't be more correct, Sparkletts is horribly inconsistent. As Claudia mentions, they are great on the phone, however everything else is a nightmare. At first the issues were minor - mostly bringing the wrong water. However, once we moved, there were issues almost every other month - wrong water type, water didn't get delivered, or they brought extra, etc. Poor communication around holidays and how it will impact water delivery etc. The worst part has been trying to cancel our account. I've had 6 jugs of water sitting on my porch for weeks now because they haven't come to get them, or the water dispenser. Of course, now with all of the hurricanes it has been impossible to get in touch with anyone to sort this out. UGH. I will say, the are VERY good at taking money out of my account, so I guess they have one thing down. read more

Delivery date can change without any notice and it happens ALL THE TIME. I have called and emailed and they've stopped just short of telling me to get over it. Beware. This company is not only terribly inconsistent, but dishonest. We had been overcharged (for two coolers instead of one) for months. Once we realized we'd been overcharged they said "read the fine print--it's too late." There is no legal language that requires a customer to pay for anything they didn't receive. Sparkletts's business practices are horrible. To add insult to injury, they told us we would be charged over for being in possession of the cooler after the prescribed pickup date that they missed!! If I could rate them a zero I would. This is the third month in a row that our delivery hasn't been met. We were supposed to have a delivery on July 7 and they finally delivered on July 20th after calling for over two weeks. Didn't get any deliveries in August. Now it is September and they were supposed to be here on Sept. 1 and still aren't here. We ended up increasing our order to 40 bottles each delivery and that doesn't even work. There is absolutely NO customer service to speak of. A manager we supposed to call me back multiple times and still haven't heard anything. We drink Mountain Valley Spring Water which was delivered by Water Event, but now delivered by Primo/Sparkletts. It's hard to believe that service could be this bad. In the past 4 deliveries, we've been stood up twice. On another delivery they dropped it in the wrong spot, ignoring the notes on our account, causing all kinds of problems. I even was outside waving my arms one time and they drove right past me without stopping. Customer service couldn't give me any guarantees that they could resolve it. We had great delivery service until we moved. At that point, they began delivering to the wrong address, consistently, despite being told numerous times. This went on for literal months. We called and called but nothing changed. They would not cancel our account. The person on the phone said that she had to email the corporate office to see if she could cancel the account. We never heard back. I called and asked for a refund and to cancel the account because I had not received over $300 worth of water over the course of three months. On the last call, they told us they would refund us and close the account. They never did. One of the times that we called, they told us that they were charging us for the empty water bottles that I had in the garage that were not picked up because they never came to the house to exchange them for filled bottles. They asked us to sit them outside for pick up--surprise! no one ever came to collect. Not only did we not get the refund, our account is still open and they have reported the amount due (which is the amount that is actually due to be refunded to us) to the credit bureau. Despite calling over and over again, the account is never properly documented and no on ever knows what we're talking about. They can't get us to the people "above" them to get the account closed. Short of going to the South Austin office, during the days/hours we are working, there is nothing we can get done to get our refund and get this "debt" removed from our credit, which we won't ever be paying because we never received our water for over three months. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I hired Sparkletts to deliver bottled water to our small music school in Cedar Park. After over a year of shoddy service (they rarely manage to get to us during our open hours despite multiple phone calls about the issue, resulting in dozens of empty water bottles piling up in our small office over months), I was finally ready to cancel. I tried email first with no response after several days, and their call hold times are ridiculously long (30-45 minutes minimum, sometimes over an hour). I had a past balance due, as I didn't realize my card on file had expired, but I was happy to pay it once the final total was confirmed. When I FINALLY managed to get through to their customer service, I asked them to pick up their cooler and empty bottles, then send me a final bill once deposits had been applied. (Their customer service has been awful, so I did not trust them to refund deposits after paying.) The customer rep told me that was fine, that they would pick up their equipment the following Monday, and that the final bill would be available to pay within 48 hours after that. I was completely satisfied with that resolution, and agreed. They did not pick up the cooler on Monday. I called them back the next day, and was told that they won't pick up equipment if there is still a balance due on the account (NOT what they told me the previous week.) I told them again I was happy to pay immediately once I knew what the FINAL BALANCE was. They finally promised they would come pick up the cooler the following Friday and send me a final bill. AGAIN THEY DID NOT COME TO PICK UP THE COOLER. When I called them back again (remember every phone call to them is at least a 45-minute ordeal), they notified me that my account was now in collections, and that there was nothing they could do. To make matters worse, they have added $170 to the bill for THE COOLER THAT THEY REFUSE TO PICK UP, and $57 in collections fees. I am livid. I know I was past due, but I offered multiple times to pay them in full, long before it was in collections. I have spoken with them at least twice since then, and both times they said they would escalate the issue and call me back with the result. OF COURSE they did not call back either time - and now the collections agency is hounding me even more. I am going to just pay it at this point, but the level of my hatred for Sparkletts is off the charts. This is a dishonest company. You are nothing but a contract to them. Stay away at all cost. I was stupid enough to try it necause we got a great deal from Costco. If Costco contracts them it must be ok. Nothing but bad reviews is impossible right? Trust them and trust me, the route manager for this company is worse than terrible. They give a decent product a very very bad name. I don't know their name because they never ever call. The setup call... well there was no call they just showed up a week after promised. We just happened to be at home. The route manager seems to like to reschedule without telling anybody because they can. When they finally came everything went fine. Water was delivered on the promised date with no issues. Then a couple months later we noticed little cockroaches popping up. It got more and more frequent. We never had any issues before. We called our exterminator. It took him about 2 minutes to see that the roach problem was in the cooler... the used cooler they rented us. We called to get a new cooler replacement. To our surprise the rep said tomorrow. Nope.. no call, no show. Called back, now its next week. We said ok... nope. Screwed again. Now they said next week... nope. Now I feel like a sap for continuing to believe them. We decided to cancel and get a refund. We have been waiting for a month now and after 4th reschedule (all without calling me). I still have their unused water and a roach infested water cooler in the garage. When they do decide to pick it up, whoever decides to ignore these reviews and subscribe to their service will probably get my roach motel cooler delivered to their house a week later than promised. read more

I don't know what's happening with the labor situation at Sparkletts but I have finally cancelled my service after they consistently missed 3 deliveries in a row and even stopped sending email communications letting me know when they will reschedule. This complete level of unreliability combined with opaque costumer service that only allows you to communicate with low level reps over the phone through a national phone number with no way to directly interact with your regional facilities makes me warn any and all to stay away from this company and try a locally owned and operated alternative instead. Since cancelling my service I have been trying for the past month to schedule a time for them to pick up the rented equipment and empty bottles I paid for but they have missed every pickup date I have scheduled with zero communication. If they try to bill me further for this equipment rental that they refuse to pickup I would consider legal action. I am going to call the national number today and try to figure out if there is a way I can return the bottles and cooler myself to a physical location instead of waiting on hold on the phone for hours to schedule another pickup date that will be ignored by their delivery trucks. Nothing against these workers, they obviously are understaffed and probably aren't paying their people enough since getting bought out by greedy owners who don't care about quality service. Unless, of course, you enjoy sitting on hold for at the very least 10 minutes every time you can actually call at a time they are accepting calls to put on hold. MOST of the time (95%) when trying to call it will ring once and then go straight to a busy signal (It doesn't even give the option to sit on hold to talk to someone). I went through the steps of sending them a message on Twitter to get the company to call me only to have them call and hang up after letting it ring 3 times. I messaged them on Twitter, again, to have someone call back, they advised me that they would have a representative call me again, but that never happened. Today, I was actually able to get through to the hold line and have been holding now for ~25 minutes (I really have to pee, but don't want to wait on hold for another 20+ minutes). On the other hand, we have diligently tried to reach them, having placed numerous calls that have gone unanswered after 20 mins of being on hold. Is this a business? Seems unlikely. My experience is on par with the other negative reviews. I live in downtown Austin and have had no consistency in deliveries. Almost every month the order is wrong. There is terrible communication between the delivery staff and the centralized customer service ordering system. I have called several times and was told the delivery manager woild contact me, but it never happens. Each delivery cycle the problems continue. The online order system is poorly designed as is confusing. Calling in you have long hold times. The auto call that is made to remind you of your delivery, malfunctions and will not leave a voicemail. It took me a couple months to figure out what was happening. When I let the company know, they said they were aware that is doesn't work for some voicemail systems, but they were not doing anythong to fix it. Considering I use Verizon along with 44 million other people, seems like they would care. Disappointed that Costco has a partnership with a company that does such a poor job. Stay away! we signed up with them through Costco and it was a terrible experience! They sent us to collections before we were able to pay them! We were able to pay our past due balance and they didnt want to continue working with us so we asked them to pick up their equipment. The pick up is a nightmare! They keep saying they'll come but they dont. They sent us to collections AGAIN for the cost of the equipment! Calling them is a nightmare with their "longer than usual call volumes". I paid for the service n was n was 8 or 9 months ahead n my payments. When I cancel my return was for 1 month they kept the remaing of my payments. The delivery driver was rude n often didn't deliver my water. I often call n complain. The hot water tap on the dispenser went after a few months. I never received a replacement. I was being charged for water when it was being delivered. What a joke. I put my own water filter n. Since then I've been happy. U will save by putting your on filter n. I should have looked at yelp reviews before signing up for Sparkletts. Every single negative review, and there are many, I could just cut and paste into mine. Identical problems. I never even got the initial setup delivery. I called 3 X that day and was told "oh it's scheduled for today, I'll have the driver call you" 3X I was told that. No calls. No delivery. Then the next day another automatic email: "your delivery is on the way!" I sent an email to their customer service since calling didn't do any good. No response. Finally on day 3 of no communication or delivery I called again. I want to cancel and get my info out of their system. They said the reason I got no delivery was because the requested equipment was not available. They didn't bother to inform the customer...me. The cancellation person was very apologetic but ugh. Ordered another product delivery...never received it and I am NEVER late on payment, as they have my credit card on file. We signed up for Water Delivery at our Residence at the Costco on Mopac and William Cannon in Austin on Sunday, July 16th. We were told by the rep that we would receive a call within 3 business days. This was also stated in the confirmation email we received that same day. We figured we would get the call early in the week and then delivery towards the end of the week and this was going to work out well since my husband was on vacation all week. By Thursday 7/20 we hadn't heard from anyone. So WE called Sparkletts and were not given a good reason for the delay and were told that someone would call us without fail on Monday, July 24th. We never received that call yesterday so my husband call Sparkletts this morning to cancel our order as we have no desire to do business with a company that doesn't fulfill their obligations/promises. My husband was put on hold for 7 minutes and the Representative he spoke with was indifferent. . I tried this service for about a year, but the delivery service as well as their customer service routine it awful! Who has an hour to sit on hold? I don't! And, even though the individuals you finally get to speak to are great--they don't produce results. My problems: rarely shows up on delivery date; leaves the wrong quantity of water--even though I'm on "replenish." When we first signed up for this water delivery service....I will admit it was an absolute nightmare. They seemed to have a staffing problem and we could never rely on our bi-weekly delivery. HOWEVER.....the past 4 months have been great! We were assigned a new delivery guy, Marco....and he's been wonderful. Not only is he reliable, but he'll even call us if he's running late or to simply check our inventory in case we might need more water. He's a joy to talk to as well. I can't speak for everyone's delivery person, but we are very happy with Marco and have had absolutely nothing but a positive experience since he's come aboard. read more
