I had been a customer of Sierra Springs for years before the company (like pretty much every other water brand) was bought out by Primo. Before this buyout, I was very happy with my service. My delivery driver used to do a one-for-one exchange. In other words, if I had two empties, he would leave two full bottles, even though my plan officially called for four bottles on hand. To me, this is just common sense. When Primo took over, my water brand changed to Sparkletts, but my four-bottle "on-hand" agreement remained in effect. The problem is that if we have only consumed two of those four bottles, leaving two empties when delivery arrives, they still leave four new bottles. As a result, I now have six bottles on hand. On this last delivery date, I left a note on one of the empty bottles, but the driver ignored it and left four anyway. There have been other times when they were late on delivery, so we didn't have any water on hand. Then came the bill. We were charged for a case of 1-liter bottles that we didn't even order. When I called to see if we could arrange a one-for-one delivery plan, I found out that Primo outsources its customer service. You are usually talking to someone in India, and one time I'm pretty sure the service representative was in Somalia. It is almost impossible to convey your needs and communicate effectively with them. Long story short, they are not willing to adjust the plan to just replace the empty bottles. Like I said, almost every brand now is owned by Primo--same water, different bottles. I'm going to take a look at Culligan instead. read more

I've been a loyal customer of Sparkletts for 12 years and have always been happy with the quality of their water. David, the delivery person, is fantastic--friendly, reliable, and always goes above and beyond by bringing the bottles inside. However, the frustration with their water coolers has pushed me to the brink. I'm now on my third water cooler, which I've been renting for years. Honestly, with the ongoing rental charges, I probably could've bought several coolers by now. Recently, I requested a replacement for my malfunctioning cooler, only to have yet another refurbished unit delivered. And as usual, it was in poor condition. White particles came out of the water, and I had to waste almost a gallon of water just to flush the system. When I reached out to request a brand new cooler, I was told none were in stock and they only had refurbished coolers. This has been a recurring issue, and I've had enough. While their water is great, their rental coolers are absolutely subpar, and their inability to resolve the issue is beyond frustrating. If you like Sparkletts water, fine--but I strongly recommend buying your own cooler elsewhere. Their rental coolers are simply not worth the hassle. read more

They've supposedly been delivering me water for the last month but every time you look at your delivery date it's just been pushed out another two days or another week or canceled all together. If you can somehow get the water tower and your regular deliveries set up, you'll be fine - until something goes wrong. Then you will be on hold for HOURS (truly - I am currently 1.5 hours into waiting for the billing department), and you will be given numerous promises for fixes/pickup/deliveries that will never come. I was moving and needed them to pick the water tower up? I had to call and reschedule 4 times because they just never showed up to get it. I have a lot of patience and I understand service industry/phone work sucks but this has been insane and has worn me down to the absolute wire. We are absolutely cancelling this service, THEY LITERALLY COULD NOT PAY ME TO DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN. If I could give them zero stars I would. When this was Sparkletts, deliverys and customer service were fine. Since it was bought by Primo, the customer service has been horrific. I have spent hours on the phone (3+ as of now) cancelling my account and trying to get their equipment picked up. I cancelled because my deliveries were rescheduled more than 10 times in one month, all without actual water delivery. Then, it has taken more than a month to get their equipment picked up and removed from my office. That has been rescheduled at least 4 times. Purchased this package thru Costco.com years ago. I was renting the dispenser, then after a year, I purchased it. Then it started leaking, so I complained, they sent a replacement, albeit a newer model, and for 2 months, no rental fee. Then Primo bought them out and now they have no record of me purchasing it, so they started charging me for the rental again. I complained severely enough that they stopped charging rental fee "out of courtesy". I said fine, then after 1 month, they started charging me the rental fee again. Their left arm doesn't know what their right arm is doing. Worst customer service ever. At one point, I asked them to deliver 6 bottles a month to avoid the $14 or so delivery charge, wherein I was getting 3 bottles twice a month. That lasted for one month, then back to twice a month. We have had the service from Costco for years. I think it's over a decade now. We first had Sparklets, and then it turned into Primo and now there was a merger and the company has been ghosting us for over a month. When I tried to login. It says it doesn't recognize my account number and when I tried to call, it says it doesn't recognize my phone number. I was on hold for over an hour the other day and finally had to hang up. I have called every single day and no one can answer the phone. Finally, I called and I hit that I was a new customer and some immediately answered the phone, but said that they could not help me. It seems like they would try to keep their old customers And not just see new customers. Ordering water from a company is a lot of trust because you are trusting that they are going to provide you with clean water. Horrible company ever since they merged with ready refresh we have been charged over $200 a month. The customer service sucks! They said they would fix the issue with over charging, and guess what. We were over charged again $273!!!!! 3 rental fees and over charged on the water. We definitely will be canceling the service since they can't get anything right. After being a customer for 32 years, like the Red Sea, we have parted ways. They stopped the small half gallon jugs, and one of the last deliveries, the handle broke and hurt someone. For the most part, they were great! But I felt they wanted to do away with those half gallons. The least they could've done was let a customer know instead not offering them to order. I don't think I've ever experienced a company as bad as Primo water/ready refresh, formerly Sparkletts. I would rate zero if it was a choice. Sparklett's got bought out recently and the merger seems to have flipped everything on its head. I've spent a collective time of about 3 1/2 hours over the last month waiting on hold to try and talk to somebody. I just waited 42 minutes and then a customer service person picked up the phone and when I told him the issue, said "oh let me send you to this person" and then I was on hold for another 30 minutes and then finally hung up. I canceled when the merger happened because the delivery fees went through the roof. They told me that in a week they would come pick up my five bottles and then credit my account. That was a month ago. They have rescheduled the pick up of my bottles five times. They were supposed to come yesterday then I got a message in the morning saying that they would come tomorrow. Then this morning I got a message saying they're coming next Wednesday. There aren't many choices for water delivery services, but I would suggest ANY company but this one. There's no physical location to drop the bottles off or talk to a human being and they're trying to run everybody through their app. Their chat service only works half the time and isn't useful. Since the Sparkletts-Primo merger, my orders have been inconsistently delivered or rescheduled multiple times. This is extremely frustrating, especially since many people no longer drink from the faucet. The poor communication and high prices are unacceptable. It seems home delivery companies might exploit the fact that most people don't drink faucet water to overcharge and under-deliver to their customers needing fresh water. While the water quality is good, I've had to replace the hot/cold water dispenser twice in the past year. It all started when Primo/Ready Fresh bought Palomar Mountain Water. After having terrible service and customer service issues we switched to Sparkletts. We had great service from our driver and the bills came in correct. This lasted until Primo/Ready Fresh bought Sparkletts and again we are having the same problems as before. The conversion from one company to the next was not seamless. We ended up with extra charges we didn't owe. Nobody answers a phone at Primo and when they do they can't/won't fix the problem. Very Negligent Delivery person didn't see the HANDLE was missing snd the ither handle wasn't strong enough so the entire Plastic Crate broke upon lifting & contents dropped onto my foot. Primo Delivery is the only way to get water delivered and they absolutely are a horrible company. Don't do it! Of the six scheduled water delivery dates they were supposed to come, I only received 3 deliveries. That's a 50% performance rate. You waste so much money on upfront fees and then you will ultimately end up cancelling because you will rarely receive your deliveries. Do not use this company... I am warning you! They started out ok but ever since their acquisition which took place sometime around May 2025, all my deliveries have been skipped or rescheduled. I was even having some issues before that with inconsistent deliveries. After using them for about 4 years I just decided I had had enough of their bs, so I said screw it I'm going to cancel! I had the hardest time calling in and contacting them to actually cancel. I tried to use the online chat service to no avail, I called in and could barely get a hold of anybody, and now after getting lucky and actually reaching someone I have my equipment and final bottle scheduled to be picked up tomorrow but just saw some notification come through the app saying my delivery was rescheduled. I'm now concerned that they won't even show up tomorrow to pick up the equipment. I am so close to just throwing it away and contacting my bank with all of my evidence of attempting to contact them. Unfortunately, Primo bought out Redi Refresh, and incorporated their horrible customer service service which caused me to leave them way back. In just the first month, they screwed up my order, screwed up trying to make it right, told me that their screwup would result in no charge to my account, then went and took the money anyway. Apparently now they've been bought by Primo. Today the driver showed up. I set the 4 empty 5 gallon containers there for him and went about my day. Then he just took off, without picking up or dropping off. We live on the end of a dead end, so he was there for our delivery. I've called in multiple times and confirmed pick up dates but those are always blown off with no communication. The last time I called in, they scheduled the final pickup of empties, the driver showed up with a full truck asking if we wanted water, I said hell no! He had a full truck and said he was unable to take the empties, said he would let his boss know and they would come back to pick them up, that was two weeks ago and I haven't heard from anyone yet again.
