Not very busy so we were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and chatted with us a bit to help us decide what to order. We got a flatbread for starters and then the shrimp scampi, chicken Alfredo but added mushrooms, the broccoli and cheese soup as a side, and some sweet potato fries. So much food! The flatbread was great, it had spinach, mushrooms, and a balsamic glaze. Only complaint was they really left a large crust to it, not many toppings. The pastas were good, the Alfredo more so than the scampi. The scampi was good but we've had better. The Alfredo was perfect, especially with the mushroom addition. Soup was yummy and hot. The sweet potato fries were hot and fresh and delicious, just a bit too salty for our taste. They have a large liquor selection too. No Wonder Pipeline is Twice as Busy as Sparky's!! My husband and I stopped in for a beverage this eve. Lots of open tables inside and out. We opted for the bar instead of a 20 min wait for a table. When we sat at an open table in the bar while waiting for our drinks at an open table-no room at the bar-a helpful waitress offered to move us to "a different table since we weren't on the waitlist". Then the manager comes up and tells us to vacate the table "since we aren't on the waitlist". The sad thing was, as we were leaving, someone arrived and were seated immediately. The VERY RUDE MANAGER could had just offered to add us to the waitlist. The hostess at Pipeline tried to make space for us at their bar. Very helpful and accommodating. read more

Delicious crust, perfect cheese and sauce ratio....the ranch was fire! I've probably ordered onion rings 10 times in my life and this has got to be one of the best. FYI, not talking about Sparkys, this review is for MT SHASTA CRAFTHOUSE! called to try and get a reservation and the host working on dinner January 18th 2026 was awful and rude! (party of 6 BTW) we get there & check in, told a 45-1 hour wait & get a txt for updates on where we are on waitlist. Checking the wait regularly get down to 3 in line then 4 minutes later my reservation was cancelled?! as were sitting in the car for 45 minutes WAITING. try to call to check our reservation and noone answers 4 times, we get to check in and the SAME HOST tells us it was cancelled "cuz our wait time must have timed out" then has to ADD US BACK ON THE WAITLIST?!!! WHAT?!?!then has to squeeze us into a round table (party of 7 now cuz one of my other kids wanted to come) and search for 2 extra chairs. we have 4 kids but no kids menus so hands us blank paper and crayons. we ask our server whats on kids me u cuz they were out and she stocks the kids menus for the host. NO silverware for a good 8 minutes after our food is served and no sharing plates and a water that was ordered at the beginning delivered after a aecond request about 30 minutes later. my friend and daughter went to the bathroom snd the door got stuck and wouldnt open and they had no toilet paper, when telling our server i think "julia" she giggled and was like oh ya i heard about that...service was OK and food was good, definitely need customer service training and hospitality! Sparky's was okay and I ate my BBQ chicken pizza over several days (a little dry, but still pretty good), but to be honest what unfortunately sticks out is our server kept forgetting our requests and items to bring to the table. This was due to the fact that she was preoccupied talking about her dog to another table - how the dog got taken away, how it died due to lack of water, should she sue the state, blah blah blah. This is not to say that I might not feel for her situation, but it was none of my business, and we didn't come to the restaurant to be ignored and repeatedly hear about someone else's personal problems. It took forever for our server to come over and even greet our table. He finally did and after that his service was fine. Food came out quickly. The food runner with the pink hair had nothing but attitude when I had asked for ranch. She came back with more food but no ranch. This is when I remembered these new owners cut corners and got rid of anything "extra". So I asked her for a side of creamy horseradish as well for my French dip. The look I got from her when I asked, and the attitude back was enough to entirely ruin it. She never brought it, so I asked my server for it and he brought it right over. Arrived for a casual dinner and while waiting for wife/sister in law to join, met our waiter Jeffery. We instantly got to know each other which made the early evening meal more of an occasion. A wonderful restaurant with lovely service, unexpectedly, just off I-5 in Mt. Shasta. Two of us shared the super-tasty Brussels sprout, kale, and butternut squash salad - and the server kindly offered to have the kitchen split it into two plates - a great salad! We also shared the mushroom and spinach flatbread, and though it was a bit lean on the spinach is was incredibly good. Our friend had the Impossible burger, which was big and came with a choice of sides. Looked great. We'll definitely make this a regular stop when going north from California. I was not terribly impressed with their food, but the people I went with seemed to enjoy it. No one I was with was terribly impressed either; the salads had a few of old and slimy pieces in it and wasn't particularly yummy, but other dishes were pretty good. It's not the place to go if you tend towards indigestion, but for your average American meal, it will suffice. I didn't go there for the food, but to have a quiet meeting place that served decent food. What I liked best was that they have twice the seating sections. The one we sat in was quiet enough that we could easily carry on a conversation with my mother - who has some hearing challenges. She could hear everything, without noises restaurant noises distracting her. The service is excellent, and - if you like beer - several people commented that their drafts are quite good, reasonably priced and generous portions. read more

Stumbled across Sparky's from a local tip and stoked to find some good eats in the City of Mount Shasta. The server was friendly, patient and hospitable, the venue a clean and open atmosphere and the killer eats and creative menu all make for a great visit. I always hold off on giving a 5 star for a return visit, just to confirm consistency, but there's no doubt they'll get it on my next visit. Truly a hidden GEM and one worth seeking out! read more

We were not impressed. The salad was a hot mess of overloaded carrot shreds and a bleu cheese dressing that was runny and gross. I could not eat it. I got the flat iron steak with chimichurri. The steak was ok. The carrots served with it were under-seasoned. Our waitress was not personable nor great. She brought us all our food after a long wait, and we never saw our drinks. We had to ask for them. We could see all three drinks were sitting at the bar for quite some time. After we alerted her, she went and got them and pretended like they were just then ready. Don't lie. I understand that mistakes can happen but expect that they be humbly corrected. I did not expect being treated with an argumentative and dismissive attitude by restaurant management. First time since new owners took over and it was not good. Two of the three meals we ordered didn't come close to matching the menu description. The salad was so far off that we asked if we were brought something else (Kale salad with brussels, spinach and butternut squash was missing the kale, Brussels, and squash...) and the server assured us it was what we ordered. It took 20 minutes to get water on a Sunday at 6:00, and we had to go get our own silverware after the food finally came. Last year I noticed it was very popular so we arrived a little after 5:30 p.m. on a Friday night and we were seated promptly indoors. There was also plenty of outdoor seating but it was quite hot outside. We chose a booth instead of a table because the booths had glass barriers separating each from the other (more covid safe) We split the 16" Coppola pizza and we had almost half leftover for the next day. The crust was fabulous. The toppings made for an intriguing blend of sweet (balsamic glaze) and savory (feta, kalamata) with a bit of healthy (tomatoes, spinach.) Definitively you won't get hungry in here. I'll start by saying we wanted to go to Pipeline but they were closed. We came in 50 min before close. Sat at the bar I said hello to the girl behind the bar and was ignored...She awkwardly walked away without saying a word, not offering menus or acknowledging us at all. In hindsight we should have left then when my friendly hello was literally ignored but I thought maybe she wasn't the bartender and I was right, he was no better. She passes by again and I ask her if it's ok if we sit there and she reluctantly gets us menus and says the bartender will be right there. He gets there, not very friendly, as my boyfriend and I gravitate to the bar because we like having friendly convo with the bartender and patrons when we travel. He seemed not in the mood to have us there at all. Maybe he's having an off night ok i didn't think anything of it. The burgers on the menu were all very similar, so I asked him if his kitchen would be ok if I made modifications to my burger. He told me that would be fine. So I go to order, changing the cheese, the sauce and taking off tomato, and I can see him starting to cringe. He tells me they don't have that sauce in the kitchen, and I point out that the other burger had the Dijon mustard I wanted. He rolled his eyes to me and honestly made me so uncomfortable I told him to cancel the burger and didn't order anything. He could have told me nicely "you know I don't think the kitchen will like me to send that" and I get that!! I've worked with many kitchens so I understand, he could have told me no instead of being rude and disrespectful. In the end my boyfriend ordered a burger we got to go. The bartender seemed to sense I was upset cause he comped my drink. But the taste is sour in my mouth in regards to this establishment. We come here every winter when we visit the ski park, this will be our last visit. I used to work for the previous owners at their other restaurant, apparently they sold last year and it shows. Hopefully the owners can train their staff to have a little more hospitality. read more

Driving through Mt shasta and the place we stayed, The Inn at Mount Shasta (which is also a great place to stay) recommended we try Sharkys Landing. It was just what we needed after a long day of driving. The lavender lemon drop martini was very good. Food was very yummy. We had pizza, a shrimp pasta dish, and a ceaser salad. All was very good. Service was wonderful and over all the place was great. Super clean too! We have to stop by again we we drive through next time. Thank you for treating us great.
