Food was hot and that chicken gyro with the hot sauce and jalapeños was so good and flavorful I did my happy dance! I had a premium meal so got the onion rings and I haven't had onion rings that good from anywhere in a while. The only con I had was I ordered a spartan (can't remember the name) it was a blue lemonade it fell flat for me but it's okay. Had the chocolate cake and that was good and moist....definitely worth the wait and I definitely recommend!!!!!! Hands down the best gyros. We typically order the traditional gyro and chicken Philly and they're both amazing. We've had their salads which are packed with veggies, fresh feta, and kalamata olives and served with a side of fresh warm pita. Very delicious. Their homemade desserts are amazing! The staff and family who own/run Spartan Gyros are extremely warm and welcoming. This is one of the best spots (and our most favorite) in Williamsburg to grab a quick bite. read more

The souvlaki (chicken gyro) was really good. Not the best I've had in Hampton roads, but I would say it was the best I've had in Williamsburg. The baklava and baklava cheesecake were both great. The baklava was probably the best I've ever had, and might have swayed me to give 5 stars *except* the portions were small. I feel like the price should reflect the portion. I had been mad craving a gyro so my husband and I stopped here for lunch while visiting Colonial Williamsburg. I got the traditional gyro (gyro with fries inside) and my husband got the spartan gyro (no fries inside) with a side of Greek potatoes. The quality of meat was 5 star, but a little skimpy on portion. The service was ok -- had to ask for napkins and Diet soda option was out. We'd definitely come back here again. read more

Just went here, visiting from Montgomery Texas. Had some gyros in DC, wasn't impressed. Tried this place, ordered traditional just to see how they were. Absolutely delicious! Lots of meat- meat did not have game taste. It was grilled and crispy on edges. Great amount of lettuce, tomato, and onion. Tzatziki tasted great, had flavor did not taste like yogurt or yogurt with cheese. My husband says taste better then we had in Europe. 35 years ago, I would drive into Manhattan and go to a Greek restaurant in Times just for their Gyros. I've been eating them at various places ever since. I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how good the traditional gyro from Spartan was. I would definitely come back again and glad that it's only 10 minutes away. Seeing that they make everything fresh, I'm a little suspect if the drive-through will work out. But we will see. read more
