My sister called Good Plumbing after seeing some favorable recommendations from neighbors on the Nextdoor website. She was told it would be $300 to remove the garbage disposal, reseal it and remount it. Not knowing any better she decided to go ahead with the job and Pete arrived a short time later that very same evening. He said he'd be in the area and could stop by on his way from another job. Pete completed the job effectively, but his customer service left something to be desired. When he was done I asked him if there would be an additional charge in the event he had to come out again. He seemingly took this as a personal attack on his job performance and stated there would be no reason for him to come out again. I attempted again to get my original question answered, but he insisted it wouldn't be necessary. And when it came time to pay for the bill (via CC) he insisted on writing down my sister's full name, address, card number, zip code AND 3 digit security code on the back of the card. We both took issue with this for obvious reasons... it's simply not wise or safe to have that kind of information laying around on paper. Pete said it was GP policy to write down all that information and preceded to show us his clipboard containing a stack of customer receipts. All the receipts contained names, CC numbers, zip codes and security codes. I assume he was attempting to reassure us, but it did the exact opposite. I theorized if his truck was stolen then the thieves would have a field day charging up customer's credit cards. Pete balked at this suggestion stating that he'd never had a customer's information stolen in 35 years. And that previous customer's had charged upwards of 40k for certain jobs. As I said, Pete wasn't winning any customer service awards... Being dismissive of customer concerns isn't exactly the way to build rapport or loyalty. Also, it's 2021...there's no need for any service provider to be taking down customer's information. Not when there are a plethora of payment apps available that safely process payments. My sister plans to cancel her credit card and request a new one once the charge for Good Plumbing is processed. Adding insult to injury, a couple of male friends told me later that we had been severely overcharged for the service provided. One friend said we'd been "raped." Pete replaced the mounting bracket for the disposal which retails for about $20 because he said he didn't like the way our existing one looked. Then he sealed it with plumbers putty that costs about $5 at Home Depot. It maybe took him 15 minutes to do the job. I don't know what the average cost is to fix a leaking garbage disposal, but I do know the Badger model I have retails for $110. So basically, I could've had two new ones for the price we paid. That didn't feel great, but you live and learn. Next time I'll use Task Rabbit and save a few bucks. On a positive note, I appreciated Pete's prompt response... it wasn't an emergency, but the same day service was a plus. We called a few other places and was told it'd be anywhere from a few days to a week for someone to come out. Pete also wore a mask (properly) following Covid protocols. And so far his work has been solid. We haven't had any problems.

I was told they would be at my house between 2-4pm. At 1030am Marc called and asked if he could come early!!! Yes please!!!! Marc was polite, informative and thorough with the work!! I did not feel like I was taken to the cleaners!!! I find it hard to find good plumbers, electricians, etc but Pipeline renewed my faith that there are honest companies out there truly concerned for our families safety and our home!!! 10 stars! I seem to have problems with my main drain like every 6 months. I've had the bathtub…read moreback up halfway from drain clogs (luckily a tub and not a shower that has a smaller basin) a few times in the past year or so. So, I have some clog issues too often. I've had other plumbers come fix it, but the problem keeps coming back. I saw good reviews for Pipe-Line and decided to give them a try (also, my past plumber was out of town). Mark arrived the same day on time (I hope I remembered his name correctly) and did an awesome job! I'm not a plumbing expert of course, but, I've hired many and seen what they do. I can say Mark not only seemed way more knowledgeable than past plumbers I've worked with, but, also was very helpful, and, put up with me asking a lot of questions! If you have plumbing issues, I recommend giving them a call!

On December 26, I paid a $125 estimate fee and was quoted $4,500 to replace a pump and tank and redo plumbing. I was told the $125 would be credited if we moved forward. When the work was done, they determined the tank did not need to be replaced, yet I was still charged the full $4,500 and the estimate fee was not deducted. Shortly after installation, the pump was not functioning properly. When I asked them to return to fix it, they attempted to sell me a whole-house filtration system instead of addressing the issue. I declined. They later blamed our problems on an issue with the well and claimed they could not fix it. I hired a well contractor who resolved the problem in 30 minutes without touching the well, leading me to believe there was never an issue with the well. I requested an itemized invoice, which did not align with the work performed. Based on labor and materials, the job appears significantly overpriced (almost double). I formally requested a partial refund on January 12 and followed up multiple times, most recently on February 6, and have received no response. I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of response and professionalism. I've also since been informed that they were never even licensed to have done the work they performed. I am sharing my experience in hopes that it can save someone else the headache and loss of money.

Morning of appointment, plumber calls to reschedule to that morning due to a personal appointment he had scheduled that afternoon. We scramble to accommodate but inform that due to reschedule there's no one to help carry the toilet up and light of stairs. Instant attitude. Plumber arrives with helper, is rude, condescending, asking why we want the toilet replaced, I list the services requested. He then denys there's drain clean out requested while waving his phone around telling me I'll have to reschedule. There's an obvious sewer smell in the bathroom, yet he can't smell anything. I tell him that was the purpose for his being there. He again denies it's on the service request so I tell him I'll call husband, he states he'll go get the toilet. I'd had my husband on the phone listening to all of this the whole time when plumber arrived and started being rude to me. Told husband I wasn't going to have someone in my home that I'm paying for a service, that is being so rude to me, that now don't trust to do this service. He agreed. I went to garage and cancelled service. He tells me I owe him $59. I tell him I'll call his office, he repeats I owe him $59. I tell him I'm not paying him a dime, I'll call his office and to leave. He says some choice words, I tell him good luck at his Drs appt. While closing garage door. Handy more choice words, I then tell him to get off my property or I'm calling the police. He leaves, I go inside. Husband's still on the phone and heard everything. He's outraged and called their office. Plumber told then owner I was nasty to him, was told that my husband heard everything because he was on the phone with me the whole time. Apologies were said and he asked if he could send someone else out, we've declined their service.

I'm writing this review today because I have never successfully received any services from them and I think that says a lot about their level of customer service. So, as a disclaimer, I cannot talk about how good or bad their services are, or how reasonable or unreasonable their prices are. All I can say is that it is, as far as I can tell, impossible to get them to come to my house in the first place. Incident #1 - my sewage pipe was leaking into my kitchen through the ceiling. The toilet would not flush. I have a one bathroom house, so this is my only toilet. I called on a Monday and they told me no one could even come look at it until Friday. So I said "no thank you" because I can't really go all week without a working bathroom. Incident #2 (a few weeks later) - we got the toilet working again temporarily, but we needed a larger fix to repair the underlying issue. Part of the sewage pipe needed to be replaced and I had a plumber to fix it but I wanted to get another quote to be sure I wasn't getting ripped off. I called and asked for a plumber to come give me an estimate. I was told a plumber would call me back to schedule. I never heard back from them, so I went ahead with the repair with someone else. Incident #3 (two weeks ago) - we have had some basement flooding issues and are looking to install a sump pump or put in some other basement flood prevention. I called and explained what I was looking for. The woman who answered said that she would have a plumber call me to schedule. I mentioned that my husband and I both work full time and we would need the appointment to be either in the evening after 5:00 or on a weekend. She said that the plumbers "might be able to accommodate my request" and she would have them call me. It has been two weeks and they have never even attempted to contact me. I feel that overall I have given Theisse plenty of opportunities to redeem themselves and they just keep proving to me over and over that they really don't want my business. So instead of using the plumber who is two blocks away, I will be using the plumber from 10 miles away who answers his phone on the first call, listens to my problem and offers suggestions, and then offers to come out to my house after 6:00pm.
