Amazing pizza, it gets better every time I go. Great specialty slices and Stromboli. My whole family loves it. Jerry, Nancy and the rest of the staff are very kind and accommodating. They always seem willing to whip up a specialty slice for me if they don't have one made. I've also seen the owner, Joe give away a few slices for free to clientele purely because they were eyeing them. If you haven't checked out Spasso's you definitely should. We moved to lindy a year ago and after trying out a few pizza spots this has become one of our favorites. Not only is the pizza really good they are such nice people. My husband always goes to pick it up and always leaves with more than we order. If they try a new pizza they want you to try it. We love Thursday nights chicken night. You get so much food. The portions are big and the food is delicious. The garlic knots are so good! They are a little heavy handed with the garlic and oil on the pasta sometimes but all in all we keep coming back! read more

Sadly to say we have been ordering pizza from here for years, about 2 weeks ago we ordered pizza and it was delivered almost upside down and most of the cheese was on the side and the top of the box , we called to complain and they said on the next order they would compensate us ... I had a fairly small order tonight, just a salad and a chicken roll. When I came to pick up the order someone had taken my chicken roll for another order. It was an honest mistake. Nice to see the owner do the right thing and take care of the situation. He upgraded me to a chicken Parm hero for no extra charge and got right on making it. To boot, while waiting for the fresh hero, he fed me a small bite from behind the counter. Glad to see the care taken even on the small orders. I heard good things in the past about spasso's. I went totally shitfaced all pumped to give it a try but it fell short of what I was expecting. I live in brentwood now, but I still have my lindy pride and I will drive 15 min just to get me a pie, I still haven't found a pizza spot out here on the island that even comes close to spasso plain pizza just saying, this place is tops. read more

I live in Lindenhurst and always use to go to another pizzeria but once I tried Spasso's I won't go anywhere else. They have the best chicken parm pizza, mozarella sticks and riceballs on Long Island. Fast service and friendly staff. Nice place to eat in during summer since they have tables outside. I called late one night after being away and just getting back to town with someone who never had NY pizza before. They were closed but answered the phone. They agreed to make us a pizza if we got there in 15-minutes. The pie was perfect. A real thing of beauty. The crust was crispy. There was the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. I wanted to deduct one star for it being only a take out place. But the pizza is SO good and the family that owns it is so nice I didn't have the heart. Years ago, the family owned a full restaurant on Merrick Road. My regret for Spasso's is it's not a full restaurant. Just a take out pizza place. Whenever a friend in the area is having a party, I order ahead and pick up a Spasso's pie. That will minimize the wait in the small space. Their plain pie is unique. They put breadcrumbs on the bottom of the slice making for a crispy thin slice. read more

Very very good food, with a full menu other than just their grab and go slices of NY style pizza and specialty pizzas. I came here one day on my way to work and tried a Philly Cheese Steak, and was thoroughly pleased with the subtle flavors and nuances of the dish. I have never been disappointed with anything I have tried here, and the service is top notch. You can definitely tell it is a family owned business, and they treat you well because of it! read more

I will admit, My usual go to pizza place is Alitalia'a in the great bay shopping center, however I look forward to Spasso's calamari pizza during lent. However first week of lent and they must have "lost their groove" and dropped the ball. The pizza wasn't even edible. I know it's calamari from a neighbor pizza place, but the squid was beyond over cooked in the fryer and then just to make sure you couldn't chew it, so they threw it in the oven to really crisp it up! Was a REGULAR customer at the Wantagh location and was devastated when they closed l recently found out that this Spassos existed. Extremely happy to find out it was the same owner me and my boyfriend had to go. Joe and staff were amazing to us. Made us a custom mini buffalo pie since there was only one slice in the showcase and threw in some free fried cappellinis all at 8:30pm soon-ish to close. The buffalo was EXACTLY how we remembered it and brought us right back to our middle/high school days, going there for lunch every day! Now that we know they're there, we will be regulars here!! We've been going to Spasso's for our pizza for the past year and I have to say it has quickly replaced any other pizza place we've ever been to in the area. The pizza is always perfect (even my picky kid enjoys it!) and the staff is always so incredibly friendly. I think Spassos puts cocaine in their olive oil because their food is addicting. They're a little pricey(which makes sense, if there's really coke in the product) so I try not to indulge too often but they surprise me with how continuously delicious the food is. My faves are the mozzy capresse and the bruchetta. They give out garlic knots topped with this wonderful garlic pesto like they're going out of business and you could live on those alone, you get so many with your meal. Delicious. read more

We stopped in for lunch for the first time. We had three different types of pizza slices and all of them were excellent, including the taco slice, the Grandma pizza, the regular slice. We also had a chicken cutlet dinner with sautéed broccoli. The chicken and the broccoli were fresh. The customer service was excellent and we will definitely return. If spazzos was closer it would be our regular Friday night pizza joint. read more

Can we start by saying how wonderful Joe and his staff are? Always a wave and a smile whether you are coming in or passing by the shop! Heavily involved in the community - taking care of customers' family when they've had a loss, and donating the pizza at the end of the night to the local fire house. For the customers mentioning the cost, there is a great option in their weekly pasta and chicken nights. A huge meal usually enough to feed two at a reduced price. The display case always has a few options to chose from if you want to just march in and select a slice or a roll, etc. Try the pepperoni bites, they are to die for! No indoor seating because they dedicated their space to a huge oven and back of the house kitchen. During the warm months you can enjoy outdoor seating, or as pizza is meant to be consumed - on your couch in front of the tv with a soda! Tasty food made by good people. Can't beat that! read more

I took off a star for every dollar I paid for when I asked for grilled chicken on my Cesar salad and didn't get any. I also asked for a buffalo chicken salad as well, but turns out I got a salad with only chicken and no buffalo in sight. Now I'm no picky eater nor am I very hard to please... but paying 30 dollars for some pizzeria salad and I don't get what I asked for just makes me straight faced along with a strong feeling of regret. The first time I came here, last week, the pizza and garlic knots were very good! My family loved it and we were happy. I ordered again tonight- pizza, garlic knots and a chicken parmigiana meal and it was awful. The pizza tasted like cardboard- were not super picky eaters but it honestly tasted bad... we threw out the extra slices instead of saving them for lunches or leftovers for tomorrow- which is a first for us. The garlic knots were cold when we got them and the chicken parm had a lot of chicken, which was a plus but it was overcooked. The food was severely overpriced for not great quality again- $36 for it all. My family has begged me never to order from here again and I will happily comply. I just can't believe that our good pizza from last week and our horrible pizza from this week were made by the same place! read more

I ate hear fir the second time today. The first time I got a chicken parm hero, its was horrible. Today I went in for the second time because I heard giod things about their pizza. I was disappointed! I got a regular slice and a pepperoni slice. They were both disgusting. The slices were SO dry with barley any sauce on them. All I tasted was corn starch on both the slices. I took three bites of the first one and was disgusted by it so I stopped eating it and threw it away. Then I took one bit of the pepperoni one and the same thing so I threw that one away too. My recommendation if your in the mood for pizza do not ho there it is disgusting. read more

Not nearly worth it. Friday night I ordered a pie with two half toppings. It cost me $18 and change which would have been fine but the pizza was way over cooked. Girl on phone very rude & unprofessional constantly telling me to hold on had to tell her 3 or 4 times what type of pie I wanted. Then got it wrong. Wouldn't be surprised if it was on purpose. Pizza is floppy & soggy. Fried calamari was pretty bad too. Very expensive not worth the money. read more

First and last time I will visit Spassos. Such a limited selection of slices(it was 6 p.m.) so I had to get the $5 slice(one). Lady places the slice in a paper bag and it begins to leak through the bag. I ask for a plastic bag and she glares at me and HANDS me the bag. Get home and the pizza is a mushy mess. I dont know if it was because it was close to closing time but I ordered 2 pies for pickup on a thurs night,first time trying this place and my family was dissappointed to say the least.
