In addition to the owner's quick reply here, the manager reached out to me to talk about the situation, apologize for what happened, and returned the credits for the massage (essentially allowing me to get another massage for free to make up for this one). I really appreciate how responsive the owner and management were in this case. I understand that if you run a business, things are going to go wrong sometimes. You're never going to be able to prevent that from ever happening. The most a business can do is be committed to trying to make it right when that happens, and that's exactly the sort of commitment that has been demonstrated here. My wife has had good experiences at Spavia, and this seems to have been an unusual situation with a specific person on a specific day. So, I'm certainly willing to give it another try with a different massage therapist. (This updated rating of 5/5 is for the quality of the response to this issue. It was just ok. I didn't like the massage. It was way too rough and I didn't think they had massage knowledge and knowledge of the body. I bought the Groupon for a couples massage (I think it was $160, not sure). Their is was only 1 emplyee working the front and she was super busy. Women/mens room didn't have hand soap at the sink. Women's restroom was just ok. Not super clean, not super dirty either, but def used. There weren't anymore candies in the womens room. The water they provided for tea was cold, and the ice water was warm. So overall, attention to detail was totally lacking. The massage actually hurt me a bit and I was surprised because I requested a "medium" pressure. The masseuse said she was going to do medium/soft. It was hard af. She used her elbow the entire time. The massage was focused on the upper neck and spine. Didn't care for my spine to be masseged. Overall, I won't be going back. It was just ok. Not terrible but also not great. Had a couple's massaged scheduled but it got cancelled because a specialist was unavailable, so it was rescheduled for a month later. For some reason, it was rescheduled as a single person massage but we were unaware of the fact until we walked in for the appointment. There were no couple's massages available on a weekend for at least another month and there were almost no female specialists available, which is the preference of my partner. I've had a membership at Spavia for almost 2 years now. I love this place. This is my routine: they have a little tranquil room so I always come about 15 mins early to get into a robe (complimentary and they provide a locker as well for your clothes and personal items) and sit in the little tranquil room with a cup of tea, a warm next pillow and a mint (all also complimentary). The room has some water features, a nice little modern fireplace on the wall, some coloring books and a gratitude jar and comfy seats with ottomans to put your feet up on. I normally get a facial here - I see Kylie, she's great! She's always so friendly and always has really good suggestions for my skin routine, and affordable suggestions too! I've gotten other facials from other places before and they are always trying to sell me very expensive products before I leave and it's just not realistic or affordable. Kylie never does that, never pressures me and gives me multiple suggestions with all sorts of price ranges. She definitely knows what she's talking about too because even when I've been pregnant or breastfeeding she has tailored her suggestions for me so that they are baby friendly as well. The facial is just so relaxing, feels so good, and she gives a great hand massage too! I always love a good hand massage! After my facial I'll normally go back to the little tranquil room to sit and rest for another 10-15 minutes before stepping back into the real world haha. I've gotten plenty of massages here as well and they've always felt really great. Betty was my favorite but she's not there anymore so I've been going to their other therapists to find one I can stick with - so far it's a tough choice, as everyone has been good and good in different ways too! All of their massage therapists definitely know what they're doing - I've had some janky massages in the past (not here) where the therapist has pushed on my funny bone nerve multiple times or rubbed their forearm along my shin or just done weird things like that that has honestly caused me a lot of pain! Not here though! I'm happy to report I've never had anyone do anything like that - they all know their anatomy and what they're doing! All are very professional, friendly and honestly just talented. Another thing I really love about my membership is I can gift my monthly treatment as well - so I've given my mom my monthly facial or massage for Mother's Day or my sister in law or best friend - it's just a nice go to gift to be able to give in case I can't think of something! My GF and I booked massages here for the day after Xmas. Such a cute, clean space and very friendly staff! They made our check-in super smooth. Super fluffy robes in the men's locker area to change into. Nice lounge area (with heated neck wraps) while you wait for your massage. Kayla was my massage therapist for the signature massage and she was fantastic! She made sure to check and see if I wanted focus on any particular trouble spots (which I did) and to make sure I didn't have any injuries that needed to be avoided or needed special attention. Found this amazing spa on Groupon and couldn't pass up the deals. Called May, 2nd 2021 and made an appointment over the phone with a representative by the name of Rebecca. She was very friendly, patient and answered all my questions and addressed any concerns I had due to covid restrictions. I planned my spa day a month in advance and had no issues. Rebecca took my information down and everything was set. I was emailed a questionnaire a few weeks prior to my massage. From reading the reviews I noticed that this place recommends guests to arrive about 10-15 mins sooner in case you have not filled out their questionnaire. There is no time to waste! I set my appointment for 12pm and once my hubby and I arrived we were escorted to the waiting lounge until our MT's came to get us. We waited til about 12:04. My hubby and I got the couples massage so we were in the same room. It was amazing! My MT was Kayla and she was 100/100! I'm so sorry for forgetting my hubby's MT's name but he was also amazing and performed 100/100! The location of Spavia is in a plaza with plenty of stores and places to eat. We enjoyed our date together and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a day to themselves or a day to relax with your loved one. Randomly found this place and decided to give it a try. I was in a bad car accident years ago that left me with a neck and back injury. I came in for a regular massage and saw Nataly. She could tell my injuries were really flared up after riding horses all day. She suggested the deep tissue massage instead. She's amazing. They make it very hard to use your monthly membership with no appointments available and when you finally are able to schedule they call and change it. Last 5 visits they have done this to me. My husband and I are visiting the area for the holiday weekend and we really wanted to get a couples massage while we were here. We are soooooo happy we found Spavia!!! We loved our experience from beginning to end. Mindy is the sweetest!!! She helped me book our appointments over the phone and she made the process very easy. She has such a bright, bubbly and sweet personality over the phone and I was excited to meet her!! When we got to Spavia, check in was quick and easy. Mindy welcomed us with the biggest smile and escorted us to the Relaxation Room. She gave us heated neck pillows while we waited for our massage therapists. The neck pillows were AMAZING. Nataly and Roger came and got us from the Relaxation Room and took us to the room to begin our massage. My husband said his massage with Roger was great! I'm a little behind but want to provide an update. I received an immediate response from the manager of the spa who provided me with a refund for the massage and a credit for a future service. After my last experience I am not comfortable going back, but I am very appreciative of the response. I feel bad because as I mentioned before the person who did my facial was amazing and she would have had a repeat customer if not for the bad massage. As long as the MT I had a bad experience with is still there I can't bring myself to go back. It's been 2 months since I visited and I still have people sending me dm's with the same poor experience with the MT. Every single person sends me a note stating her name and saying they had a similar experience. That's a pattern and not someone who was having a bad day as it was portrayed to me. I don't know if these other experiences are being reported to the establishment but I really hope so. It really seems like a huge risk to have that person there. read more

I'll start by saying Spavia is very nice and clean, it has a calming decor and I love that they have a relaxation room for before and after your massage where you can enjoy tea or water and they even had a few coloring books. I was super excited to get my first prenatal massage as I'm 5 months pregnant and the aches and pains are starting to get to me. Check in was super quick and easy. When I'm greeted by my masseuse Andrew he seems nervous and unsure of what to say. He then apologized and said he was thinking of the words to explain what position I should get in because he hasn't done many prenatal massages. Immediately I was disappointed because although we all need to start somewhere to learn a craft this was a pricy massage which would have been worth it had I got someone who knew what they were doing. His hands were freezing for majority of the massage and it was cold in the room as well. Prior to the massage I filled out the questionnaire and requested medium pressure but shortly after starting I had to ask for more pressure. It literally felt like he was gently rubbing my back the way someone does when they give you a hug. The amount of time spent on each side didn't at all feel even and majority was spent on my shoulders upper back and arms when I expressed along with wrist and forearm soreness lower back pain and achy legs from standing all day. All and all it was absolutely a waste of my time and money. I could have just took a nap and got the same fulfillment as this massage gave me because I walked away feeling no better just rested. After my boyfriend called and complained (this was a gift to me because he's seen how hard pregnancy's been on my body) they refunded 50% and offered another comped massage with someone experienced which I appreciate and is the only reason I gave two stars. But I declined because I won't be going back. When I booked and chose prenatal all the names listed under this service should have been experienced. read more

I would be upset if my appointment got pushed back because the person before me couldn't be bothered to be on time. Today, my husband and I were on a date and stopped at LBX for food. As we pulled in we noticed a new store Spavia and a few folks inside talking. Being a lover of all things spa and smell good we walked out n and began looking around at this Urban oasis. We were quickly greeted by the Owner Aubrey who invited us to take a tour (granted the store was actually closed for Veterans Day). On the tour we were able to see the waiting rooms, massage rooms and Aesthetician's area - all of which were decorated with love and care. When back in the lobby, she shared about the wellness and beauty products that she carries and the fact that all items are specifically chosen because a portion of the proceeds support a cause that cares for others.
