ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW! This was the most luxurious and comforting spa experience I've ever had in my whole life! I booked a couples massage for my boyfriends birthday and I had a strong feeling it was going to be a good one, and I was completely right! We arrived 1hr early on accident, however the receptionist allowed us to sign our documents and wait in the zen room with each other in the meantime until our appointments! She served us tea, showed us our individual lockers, and was very attentive! The rooms had coloring books, warm neck wraps, books to read, and even little gratitude cards that gave you an opportunity to write down what you're grateful for! I never thought I'd say this but I absolutely enjoyed the wait for our massage! Now the massage part .... WOW X10! Linda and Athena are literal goddesses--no pun intended lol--they have the most intuitive hands ever. They know just what to do for your body, and how to do it! I had the Vitamin C facial to revive my skin and my technician Veronica made me feel safe, comfortable, and I was basically snoring because of how gentle she was. I can not recommend Nataly enough! I've been coming here for a while and can definitely say she's one of my favorite massage therapists to request. She's sweet and asks if you have any preferences and tailor's your massage to that. With other places I feel like they ask but still never adjust, but I haven't had any problems with Nataly! Plenty of parking in this area as well, but can get busy in the afternoon. They're locker rooms are very nice and you can opt in to wear a robe. I went to receive a massage and facial during a trip I took to Southern California. This was my first facial so I wasn't sure what to expect! For the massage I had the privilege of having Jeremy and for the facial I was with Drew. The atmosphere was very calming and the waiting room allowed you to get into that relaxing mood. Dim lights, nice music and a peaceful space. During the process of filling out the forms you were able to select the level of pressure you'd like for the massage, what kind of music you'd prefer as well as if you'd like communication with who you are with or silence. Jeremy was great! He was very gentle and had the perfect about of pressure. Drew was guiding me through each of the steps of the facial and answered any questions I had. Both very kind and friendly! My husband booked a couples massage for us and with all the COVID-19 restrictions, I really didn't know what to expect. Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted and given a tablet to input our general information and answer a few questions. Once that was complete we were escorted to the back to get our couples massage. Our masseuse, Natalie and Athena provided comfort, technique, and a pleasant atmosphere. The decor, ambiance, and energy of the staff from start to finish was amazing! I was greeted by smiling faces at the front desk and did not have to wait at all before being escorted to the ladies waiting area. This area is calm and quiet and very relaxing. I did not wait long before Kylie came in to escort me to my facial. Kylie took time to ask questions about my current skin routine, goals I had for my skin, and anything else I'd like to discuss. She was extremely knowledgeable and consistently checked in with me during the process to explain what she was doing and why she picked the products she did. The whole experience was very relaxing. At the end of the facial, Kylie offered me water and/or tea and asked if I wanted to take some time to relax in the retreat area for a bit. I work a desk job and travel and I told her some areas on my back that were bothering me and she knew exactly how to alleviate the pain. I was not impressed and probably won't return. Staff is very friendly and welcoming but the service was not worth the money. I got a facial and in the hour, there was very little massage. There was at least 1-2 minutes of NO contact in between each step: cleanse, 2 masks and I'm not sure what else because nothing was explained. I can apply my own products at home, I was there for the massage and touch. Usually after a facial, I want to let the products stay on my skin for the rest of the day. After this facial, I went home and washed my face and applied my own products because when I left my skin felt tacky and dry. I would suggest teaching to stay in contact with your guest 90% of the time. That makes all the difference. read more

I was looking for things to do for Valentine's Day on Groupon, specifically massages because my boyfriend always complains of back pain. I came across Spavia and purchased the great offer they had listed on there. We got couples massages on Valentine's Day and when I made my appointment over the phone they apologized and said that since they were fully booked that we would have our massages in separate rooms and it was completely fine but I can't really speak on how couples massages are in the same room. A couple days before your appointment they email you some forms to fill out that ask what your preferences are on music, scent, and massage pressure. They also ask some lifestyle questions to better understand your needs. I highly recommend filling this form out prior to your appointment but if you can't it's best to arrive 20 min early to fill it out on site. After you check in they lead the women and the men into separate locker rooms that connect to separate retreat waiting rooms. In the locker room they have lockers with sandals, a plush robe, and a satchel for your phone and jewelry. It's always best to wear lose fitting easy to change in and out of type clothes. They also informed me that you can be completely nude under the robe or if you're more comfortable leaving underwear on you can do that as well. The locker room also has a shower, a changing stall, a restroom, and a sink area. The retreat area connects to it and it has multiple chairs, tea, water, heated neck pillows, and a coloring book with colored pencils. My massage therapist was Nataly and she was amazing! She asked questions to better suit your needs of massage before she starts. When u go in the room she let me know how to lay on the heated table and then she stepped out while I disrobed and got under the sheet and then came back in. I got a Swedish massage and although it isn't like a deep tissue massage it relieved a lot of pressure that I didn't even feel that I had prior. It was extremely relaxing and she was very professional and considerate about how she positioned each body part and wasn't rough. I honestly felt like I was at my deepest point of relaxation. After the massage she gave me some tea and we thanked each other and she walked me back to the retreat area where you can stay as long as you want to. I also tipped in cash using the little envelopes they provide. U just write their name on it and I kept it in my robe pocket until after the massage was done. The front desk staff was also super friendly and I didn't feel any stress or bad vibes at any point during my visit and I have severe anxiety so everything stresses me out but I wasn't here at all. Even while calling them to set up appointments they are extremely courteous and helpful. Sorry for the long review but I wanted to touch on everything because I was unsure of how some stuff worked and was looking through these reviews before I came and couldn't find some stuff! Visited the Spa with my mom for her birthday using a gift card. We were a few minutes late so we knew it would cut into our facial time. The facials were cut shorter than even the amount of time we were late. There were portions of the facial that was not handled as well, such as hand and arm massage. The girls in the front talked us into a possible membership. I agreed in hopes of trying their other services. I decided not to proceed and they were never able to charge my card, until this Month. I've contacted the branch via their site and no one contacted me back. So I emailed the email on the website and it bounced back. So I called them and they basically are too bad. Spavia gave me an experience that I desperately needed. Not only was I physically sore due to stress in my day to day life I was emotionally and mentally in a bad place. When I entered the business I was greeted by welcoming employees and a peaceful atmosphere that made me feel at ease immediately. I purchased a Groupon and when I called to make an appointment they demanded a credit card in case I didn't show up. I asked to speak to the manager. I believe her name is Kass/Cass. When I questioned this ridiculous policy (since they already have my money and could simply keep it if I don't show up), she told me there was no corporate email or corporate phone number that she could give me to speak to someone in charge after telling me that she essentially had no power. When I questioned the implausibility of there not being any contact information, she hung up on me. I actually heard the phone hang up. I couldn't believe it I called back several times and they would not answer. She's an immature, incompetent, disrespectful, 5 year old! I can't believe these unscrupulous business practices are happening in my neighborhood and I'm open to any ideas on how to help ensure they learn to treat people respectfully. I REALLY wanted to like this place. Honestly! So, I have the ultimate membership. I booked the revitalizing ultimate facial for my monthly choice. That facial is under the ultimate package, which it states online. I go in for my facial and the girl was great. No complaints. As I'm checking out, the front desk tells me that my facial is not covered under my membership. Hmmm ok. So she only gives me $10 off. When I go home, I check again and the facial I received is listed as being included in my package. So I call and request my money back for the remainder that I was overcharged. She put me on hold for 10 minutes and then came back and said the manager will give me a call back. 2 weeks later and still no call back. I will be cancelling my membership there. I don't like businesses that aren't professional when It comes to refunding. Even though the amount itself is not a lot, don't hustle me into paying more for something than I should have. I cried on the phone today (VALENTINES DAY) while speaking with the manager ... she was very cold and not understanding so to further explain this, I scheduled a couples massage here about a month ago to surprise my husband on valentines day... in the middle of the night February 13th (last night) i got extremely sick couldn't even move from my bed today I then called this place as early as possible to reschedule our couples massage they weren't open that early so I later called again and just left a voicemail. I called again later when they were open & asked if they got my voicemail and could reschedule us, she said yes but they still need to charge a $99 fee for late cancellation..... I kindly asked to speak with a manager because yes I under policies but I wasn't sick the day before and I didn't know I would be up all night sick and spend my Valentine's Day in bed not able to move..... the manager, Emily I believe her name was, was not very understanding she was very cold. I even got a little sad/ frustrated (i remained calm) on the phone and cried a little while explaining to her that I'm sick in bed can't enjoy my first valentines with my husband our plans have been cancelled because of me being sick and now I get charged $99 for being sick..... I understand policies are policies but some businesses need to have a reality check and come back to to the understanding that We are all human, sickness happens, give some grace, be understanding, be kind, I know they easily have the power to refund the $99 late cancel fee they just took from me. I called as early as I could once I woke up sick, I can't predict sickness like this ....no one can.. it's just unfair and not kind. I've worked at a place similar to this before so I know how easily they can choose to be understanding and wave a fee. But unfortunately both ladies I spoke with were cold very straight forward, not rude , but just not human, very cold. And that's a TERRIBLE way to run a business and keep happy customers. I really love this wonnderful oasis in LB. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. I like that that you can undress and lock up your valuables, put on a fluffy robe and sit in the relaxation room before and after your massage. No rushing to get dressed or undressed just extends the bliss. They provide warm neck wraps, slippers, and beverages to help you relax...you can even shower. The MTs I have had were all fantastic and the owners are so lovely and gracious.
