Mike & Robert were on point. Once a appointment was made, they arrived on time & the service was dead on. They power vac & scrubbed my pool till it was perfect. He's easy-going, reliable, and has been maintaining pools across the Island for over 15 years. I suggested to do a search on Yelp and he landed on Deluxe Pool Services. I held my breath... and they came through. The services he gets include opening/closing and weekly cleanings. Dad is especially impressed because whenever there are issues with his pool, their customer service is so top tier, they are on it immediately to resolve the problem. Their location is in CT but you can see from the reviews that they work with pools all over LI (and apparently as far as Albany, according to my father). Their maintenance people are fast, friendly and thorough (I've been at the house a couple times when they serviced the pool). Reasonably priced, too. Important to note that my father is someone who doesn't tolerate inconsistent timeliness (this probably goes for 9/10 dads, no?) and they are always on time or they call. You really can't ask for anything more when it comes to pool services.

I followed every winterizing step, did everything by the book, and when the pool wall bent from normal seasonal conditions, they refused to honor the warranty. Their excuse? "Improper winterization." Completely false. Instead of helping, they pushed me to spend even more money on another one of their flimsy pools. No accountability, no customer service, no integrity. This company is all about taking your money and disappearing the moment something goes wrong. If you value your time, your money, and your sanity, avoid Island Recreation at all costs. There are plenty of reputable pool companies on Long Island -- this is NOT one of them.
