All I asked was to get the quote, how long it takes, when it could be done so that I could compare to other companies. The operational manager, Oscar, sorta threatened me I signed the contract and called him for work order, which wasn't the case!, and challenged me tons when they tried to install without my asking!!! Special T provided excellent customer service. My unit began leaking four (4) years after my purchase. Fortunately, the unit carried a seven (7) year warranty and Special T immediately replaced it with no charges for parts. The tank is very expensive and I was impressed the company replaced it. We had Special T Water Systems install a Kinetico water softener shortly after we bought our home, so we've now had it about 15 years. I wish I would have left a review then, but am leaving one now because of the only other review posted for this fantastic company. Special T was great in installing our system with no issues or problems, and we've had them come out only two or three times max, during the 15 years we've had the system. Each person who came out was genuinely friendly and professional, and did the job they came to do, without any problems. Office staff are just as good. Our system has worked perfectly and we have recommended Special T Water Systems to lots of friends and neighbors. I completely disagree that this company is not for home owners, in fact, I believe they cater to whomever their customer is. Great customer service each time we've used them. Don't hesitate to use Special T Water Systems. You'll see for yourself that it's a company with a great reputation. P.S. Terrible customer service. Multiple messages left for a sales person, with never a call back. I finally reach them, run into an issue that requires a manager to review and discuss with me. salt service is great (although apparently salt isn't the way to go now as it shortens the life dramatically of the water heater among other things.) but the equipment ain't so hot. the two black plastic tanks i have leak and have had to be replaced twice. i even put in a pressure regulator which didn't seem to prevent the second leaking. the systems are wasreful with water too with all the back flushing. good quality water when they work - inefficiently or not. read more
